Baili Xia answered casually, and the reasoning seemed logical enough that Mu Xiaoyao couldn’t find a single flaw.

After thinking for a moment, he said indifferently, “If you want to know how badly he’s injured, why not go and see him.”

Baili Xia was slightly stunned, go see Uncle?

Given the current circumstances, she didn’t know how to face him.

Especially under Uncle’s keen gaze, it was always very difficult to hide anything from him.

“We’ll see. If necessary, I’ll go.”

This sounded too perfunctory, even Baili Xia realized it herself.

She added, “If I go to see him, would you mind?”

Now that they were officially together, seeing a past man might be unacceptable for many men, right?

Although she really wanted to check on the situation, she couldn’t quite understand her own mindset.

However, when she saw Mu Xiaojiu’s normal expression during dinner, it was comforting.

Unless he’s truly formidable, capable of being at ease even after suffering serious injuries.

Otherwise, if he’s able to attend meals, perhaps it’s nothing serious?

Going to see him, in these circumstances, is ultimately not ideal.

Mu Xiaoyao’s face showed no anomaly; he didn’t know how to express himself and simply shook his head.

He had no objection to seeing Uncle.

However, would this girl upset Uncle, exacerbating his condition?

Baili Xia asked again, “Why did you wipe off the bloodstains?”

Earlier, Baili Xia intended to wipe off the bloodstains herself.

She knew what Mu Xuri had done, so she was somewhat wary of him.

If Uncle’s injury was discovered by him, would he seize the opportunity to harm Uncle?

But why did Brother have to do this as well? He had no reason to.

Could it be that even Brother saw Mu Xuri’s inherent hostility toward Uncle?

Looking at Mu Xiaoyao’s unchanged expression, Baili Xia grew more puzzled.

Mu Xiaoyao simply lowered his eyes and pondered, as if he didn’t hear Baili Xia’s question.

After a while, he suddenly said, “In the Mu family, things aren’t as simple as you think. There might be hidden enemies everywhere; I naturally have to be cautious, lest someone tries to harm Uncle now.”

He raised his hand to gently tousle Baili Xia’s hair, his eyes filled with affection. “Stop overthinking.”

After speaking, Mu Xiaoyao started walking towards Sihai Residence.

Baili Xia’s heart suddenly trembled; what did Brother’s words mean?

He said the Mu family isn’t simple; perhaps Brother and Uncle have discovered something?

Watching Mu Xiaoyao walk away, Baili Xia realized and quickly caught up.

“Brother, wait.”

She called out, and Mu Xiaoyao stopped and turned to look at her.

Baili Xia took a bracelet out of her pocket and handed it to Mu Xiaoyao.

“I found this on the hillside last night.”

He took the bracelet, turned it in his hand, his eyes brightened.

“Is this a weapon?”

“Yes, it’s Xiaoxiao’s.”

Mu Xiaoyao raised his eyebrows, looking at Baili Xia.

He knew Baili Xia must have discovered something.

“This weapon was crafted by Xiaoxiao herself; it can shoot hidden weapons for self-defense in critical moments.”

“But last night, I found it on a tree halfway down the cliff; I think she removed the bracelet but didn’t have time to fire the hidden weapon before being knocked off the cliff.”

“Moreover, Master said, Xiaoxiao had no signs of being hit, only falling injuries.”

After speaking, she looked at Mu Xiaoyao.

She had said enough, trusting that he knew what she meant.
