This is the city center, crowded with people and roads.

Trying to find someone who’s lost their trace here is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

For a moment, Baili Xia felt a bit of despair.

If she missed this chance, when would they meet again?

“Xiaxia.” A call came from behind her.

Baili Xia turned around suddenly, only to feel disappointed.

Ning Anran, panting and out of breath, walked up to her: “Did you catch up?”

Baili Xia looked at her, her eyes filled with complexity.

After a while, she said faintly, “No.”

“Who exactly did you see?” Ning Anran asked.

Baili Xia ignored her and turned back to the coffee shop.

There was nothing to say to her; even if she told her, what difference would it make?

She had changed, would she still care about those feelings?

Ning Anran glared fiercely at her back, feeling helpless as she followed her back.

As soon as Baili Xia returned to the coffee shop, Mo immediately stood up and walked over.

Seeing the disappointment on her face, he couldn’t help but ask, “Who did you see?”

Baili Xia looked at her, unsure whether she should tell her.

She hadn’t caught up with that girl, so she couldn’t be one hundred percent sure.

However, her heart told her that it must be her.

She sat back down in the booth, and Mo asked again, “Who was it?”

The other people’s eyes were all focused on Baili Xia, waiting for her to reveal the answer.

For her to react this way, that person must be very important to her.

“I saw Ye Zi…”

Finally, Baili Xia revealed the person’s name.

Being able to reunite is what everyone has hoped for over these years.

Although Ning Anran is difficult to accept again, Ye Zi is also her friend.

Mo looked shocked and in disbelief.

She glanced at Ning Anran, then refocused on Baili Xia.

“Really? Are you sure it was her?”

Ning Anran’s heart was also in turmoil: “No way, did you mistake her for someone else?”

Baili Xia’s face darkened, and she glared at her.

“Don’t you want to find her?”

She had long known that Ning Anran no longer cared about this past relationship.

Finding Ye Zi didn’t matter to her at all.

Ning Anran’s face turned pale: “I didn’t mean it like that, it’s just that it seems too coincidental.”

Mu Lingchuan gently patted Mo’s back, signaling her not to be so agitated.

“Who is Ye Zi?” he asked softly.

Baili Xia didn’t want to speak, feeling suppressed.

Mo had to answer, “She was a friend who grew up with us in the orphanage.”

Mu Lingchuan nodded, feeling relieved.

No wonder Baili Xia would get so emotional, it turned out there was such a connection between them.

Like Mo and Baili Xia, their bond isn’t something that can be easily severed.

Mu Lingchuan even suspected that if Mo had to choose between him and Baili Xia, she would choose Baili Xia without hesitation.

Of course, he wasn’t very confident about his relationship with Mo either.

If he hadn’t forced her to stay by his side, she might have left long ago.

“Don’t be sad, as long as she’s still in Jin City, you’ll meet her again one day.”

Baili Xia nodded but didn’t say anything.

Perhaps there would be a day they meet again, but who knows how long that would be.

“Do you have any photos of Miss Ye Zi? If you do…”

Mu Lingchuan didn’t finish his sentence, realizing what he said didn’t make much sense.

Since they’d been separated from a young age, how could there be recent photos?

Even Baili Xia might not have truly seen her just now.

Maybe, it was just a case of mistaken identity.
