With Officer Chen leading the way, showing the prepared entry and exit permits along the way, no one asked any questions.

A few minutes later, Officer Chen brought Baili Xia to a separate visiting room.

“Miss Li, please wait, the prisoner will be brought in shortly.”

After speaking, he stepped out, leaving Baili Xia alone in the room.

Sitting in the visiting room, time ticked by second by second, and Baili Xia began to feel anxious.

The time given by Brother totaled only thirty minutes, and now nearly ten minutes had passed, yet Feng Gang had not been seen.

Just as she was getting anxious, the door suddenly opened again.

An elderly man with a head full of white hair and a haggard appearance, dressed in prisoner clothes, was escorted in by a military officer.

He wore handcuffs on his hands and shackles on his feet.

Baili Xia was stunned for a moment; she hadn’t seen Feng Gang for months, and he seemed to have completely changed.

Seeing Feng Gang’s puzzled look toward her, Baili Xia came to her senses and immediately said, “Uncle.”

Feng Gang was even more confused. He had accompanied the old master for so many years and didn’t have any relatives.

How could someone come to visit him and call him Uncle?

The military officer glanced at Baili Xia, then stepped out.

Feng Gang walked forward a few steps, getting closer to Baili Xia.

Baili Xia also stepped toward him, reaching out to hug him.

Feng Gang’s heart softened slightly but raised some wariness, hesitating and stepping back.

Suddenly, Baili Xia whispered in a barely audible voice: “I am Xiaxia.”

Feng Gang shuddered, stopping his footsteps.

“Is it really… you?”

His voice trembled, he had been waiting, waiting for several months.

He knew that Miss Xiaxia would definitely avenge the old master.

During this period, his heart had been tormented, fearing those people might even harm Miss Xiaxia.

The old master was already gone; if he knew even Miss Xiaxia were harmed, he would certainly not rest in peace.

Baili Xia nodded, supporting him as they moved to the table and sat down.

Feng Gang gazed at her, his emotions were still somewhat intense.

“You finally came; I have always been afraid those people would do you harm.”

Baili Xia said, “I’m fine, Uncle and Brother will protect me.”

Feng Gang nodded, then said, “Jiu’s child isn’t bad after all, but unfortunately he follows Mu Xuri, that scoundrel.”

Suddenly recalling something, he changed his tone.

“You should leave quickly, if Mu Xuri finds out you came here, he will deal with you.”

Baili Xia gripped his hand tightly, comforting him: “I’m fine, he won’t find out, Brother brought me here.”

“But I only have a little time, we need to speak quickly.”

“However, Mu Xiaojiu ultimately still favors Mu Xuri, he…”

“Don’t worry, I came here under Uncle’s suggestion, he… he is willing to listen to me, you listen to me first.”

Feng Gang looked up at her, excitedly saying, “Miss came, do you have anything to ask me?”

After hoping for so long, Miss Xiaxia finally arrived.

This was also his only solace for living, he waited to see the day Mu Xuri would be toppled.

If it weren’t for this, he would have long followed the old master.

Baili Xia asked, “Back then, Mu Xuri framed grandpa for poisoning him, why did he still run away?”

When Baili Yang mentioned past events to her, she hadn’t paid attention to this detail.

Recently, upon reflection, she realized this doubt.

Feng Gang was slightly stunned; he hadn’t given this much thought before.

“Probably because he had a guilty conscience; at the time when the second master was attacked, only he was there, if he stayed, others would likely suspect him.”

“After he left, the suspicion turned to the old master.”
