When he said he would shut him up, he meant it.

The dozen or so people trailed behind them, continually guarding against Dongfang Ji escaping.

Only Mu Xiaoyao kept marching ahead and seemingly didn’t care.

“I just want to see him once.” She was insistent.

There weren’t any important matters; everything was a lie.

Something had happened to Uncle, but no one was willing to tell her what exactly had happened.

After arriving, Mu Xiaoyao immediately went upstairs.

She wanted to follow, but was stopped by Ye Hua.

Mu Xiaoyao had instructed her to wait in the hall.

But everyone was upstairs, leaving her alone in the hall.

How could she remain calm?

“Ye Hua…”

“Miss Xiaxia, are you really that eager to know what Mr.

Xiaojiu is doing right now?”

Ye Hua was clearly growing impatient.

Had he not had to stop Baili Xia, he would be upstairs right now, standing outside Mr Xiaojiu’s room.

Why would he have time to engage in this pointless conversation with her?
