Baili Xia thought that over the years, Mu Xuri must not have been like this in front of Mu Xiaojiu.

Otherwise, with Uncle’s personality, how could he have respected such a person for so many years?

Now, Uncle has left the Mu Group, and the Mu Group is almost completely under Mu Xuri’s control.

Mu Xuri feels unrestrained, so his true nature is increasingly revealed.

A person who has suppressed himself for so many years for the sake of pretending, once exposed, will only become more extreme.

This is the real appearance of Mu Xuri.

While in deep thought, the roar of car engines suddenly came from behind.

Baili Xia turned around and saw the cars that had been trailing theirs.

A few men in black suits got out of each car, their strong build indicating they were well-trained.

One of the men, who seemed to be the leader, walked over to Mu Xiaojiu.

“Boss.”

“All of you stand guard outside.”

“Yes.”

Only then did Baili Xia realize that these were Uncle’s men.

It seemed Uncle was worried something might happen to her, otherwise, with his personality, he certainly wouldn’t have brought so many people.

Mu Xiaojiu’s face was cold, and without another word, he strode toward the villa’s entrance.

Inside the villa, there was a small courtyard first.

The road was lined with men in black standing solemnly on both sides.

Their expressions were grave, faces stern.

Upon seeing Mu Xiaojiu, they all said in unison, “Mr. Xiaojiu.”

Mu Xiaojiu ignored them and strode through the crowd toward the hall.

Baili Xia knew that these people were placed here by Mu Xuri.

What was his purpose in arranging so many people here?

Upon entering the hall, directly in front was a portrait of Wen Yu, surrounded by several wreaths.

A few scattered flowers hung from the ceiling, which was the only decoration here.

However, there was no sign of Wen Yu’s body.

Instead, beside the portrait was a cremation urn.

Mu Xiaojiu’s gaze turned cold as he focused on Mu Xuri, who was sitting off to the side.

“Where is Mrs. Wen’s body?”

Mu Xuri glanced at him, looking indifferent.

He said flatly, “It was cremated yesterday.”

The chill around Mu Xiaojiu deepened; he hadn’t expected his third brother to directly cremate the body.

Was he so eager to destroy evidence?

His icy cold gaze pierced straight at Mu Xuri, but Mu Xuri was unafraid, meeting the gaze calmly.

“Why? For such a matter, do I need to ask you?”

Moreover, Wen Yu was his person; how he dealt with her was his own affair.

Mu Xuri had done something shameful yet remained so justifiably proud, that Baili Xia could no longer hold back.

“Why did you cremate Mrs. Wen’s body so quickly? We haven’t figured out how she died yet.”

She was anxious at this moment, her tone seeming unfriendly.

Mu Xuri slapped the armrest of his wheelchair hard, angrily shouting, “Where do you have a place to speak here? Is this a scene for you?”

His fierce gaze swept toward Baili Xia, filled with murderous intent.

Mu Xiaoyao stepped forward, shielding Baili Xia behind him.

A powerful aura emanated from him, instantly pushing back Mu Xuri’s chilly presence.

“She’s about to marry into the Mu family, how can she not have the right to be here?”

No matter whom she married, Mu Xiaoyao was already certain that Baili Xia was part of the Mu family.

This was beyond Mu Xuri’s doubt.

Mu Xuri was furious, his insides churning, his eyes glaring fiercely at Mu Xiaoyao.

He had facilitated the marriage between him and Baili Xia, yet now it had become Mu Xiaoyao’s way of restraining him.

This guy was as unruly as Mu Xiaojiu, daring to speak to him like this as a junior!
