Everyone finally reacted, understanding why Mu Xiaoyao had knocked out the woman in black earlier.

If he had been a step late, she would have probably committed suicide too.

Mu Xiaoyao walked over to another person in black, reached out to check his breathing.

Moments later, he looked back at Mu Xiaojiu and shook his head at him.

This person in black, who was stabbed in the waist by Baili Xia, had also taken poison to commit suicide.

Now, the only survivor is the unconscious woman in black.

Baili Xia walked up to the woman in black and reached out to pull off the mask on her head.

As expected, she really was Tian.

“Find Nangong Xu and have the poison fang removed,” Mu Xiaojiu said lightly.

Long Ting nodded, immediately walked over, grabbed Tian by the collar and lifted her up.

He carried her like that and walked into another room.

“Brother, call someone to clean up here. I’ll heal everyone soon.”

Mu Xiaoyao nodded and immediately went out to call people.

Only then did Baili Xia look at Mu Xiaojiu and walk over to him.

“Uncle, who are these people?”

Mu Xiaojiu shook his head lightly, he still hadn’t figured out this matter.

The surveillance network he set up in Jin City had uncovered many members of mysterious organizations.

But those were only limited to people in Jin City; he couldn’t trace who was behind them.

He glanced at Long Ting, who had walked back, and his face turned cold.

“How did these people get in?”

Long Ting froze, suddenly standing there stiffly, his body straight as a board.

“I, don’t know.”

He hadn’t expected so many assassins to sneak into the Mu family.

In the morning, he instructed his brothers to carefully verify each invitation along with photos for every person entering Mu Mansion.

All morning, they hadn’t discovered anyone suspicious.

However, regardless of how these assassins got in, he was responsible for today’s security at Mu Mansion; thus, he had to bear the responsibility for this incident.

Baili Xia sensed the icy aura emitting from Mu Xiaojiu, knowing he was angry.

She composed herself and softly said, “Uncle, please don’t blame Captain Long Ting.”

“Perhaps these people were among the invited guests themselves, which is why they couldn’t be detected.”

Mu Xiaojiu looked at her coldly and said in a deep voice, “Do you realize that because of his mistake, you all nearly lost your lives?”

“Yes, I know, but…”

Baili Xia didn’t know what to say, she had spoken to Long Ting yesterday.

She believed he would seriously check every guest.

But enemies would always find a way in if they wanted.

She glanced at Long Ting and softly said, “Captain Long Ting, why don’t you take these people’s photos and match them against the guest list.”

“Or, check against the wedding service staff.”

Long Ting looked at Baili Xia, with a hint of emotion in his eyes.

He hadn’t expected Miss Xiaxia to be willing to speak on his behalf.

But, this was Miss Xiaxia’s suggestion; he didn’t know if Mr. Xiaojiu would agree.

Long Ting looked up and secretly glanced at Mu Xiaojiu, waiting for his decision.

Mu Xiaojiu, with a solemn face, lowered his eyes as if in thought.

Finally, he spoke, “Go ahead, come back to receive punishment later.”

“Yes.”

Upon hearing this, Long Ting straightened his back and responded loudly.

The aura of seriousness returned to him, a fierce glint flashing in his eyes.

He glanced at a few of his brothers nearby, saying, “Follow me.”

After speaking, he saluted Mu Xiaojiu, nodded to Baili Xia, and turned to leave in large strides.
