Yu Le lay on the bed, motionless, watching Baili Xia busy at his side.

She carefully tended to each wound, always asking him, “Does it hurt?”

These injuries really aren’t much.

Even though Yu Le always said it didn’t hurt, she still kept asking.

When he got injured before, whether brothers helped him or he went to the medical room, no one ever treated him this attentively.

Everyone was already used to such injuries.

Watching Baili Xia now, he suddenly had the illusion that only a beloved relative would treat someone like this.

Baili Xia meticulously treated Yu Le’s wounds, her forehead already lined with sweat from exhaustion.

“Finally done.”

She raised her hand and wiped her forehead, finally breathing a sigh of relief.

She looked down at Yu Le, seeing him still staring blankly at her.

“What’s wrong? Did the pain ruin your head?”

He was a cheerful person, and Baili Xia could joke with him.

Yu Le came back to his senses, raised his hand to touch his forehead, and smiled sheepishly.

“Miss Xiaxia, you’re our boss’s woman, aren’t you?”

Baili Xia blushed, not knowing how to respond.

Looking at Yu Le, she feigned anger, “The bandages have just been wrapped, and you’re looking for a beating, aren’t you?”

A joke easily dispelled the awkwardness.

Baili Xia tidied things up and let Yu Le lie down to rest before walking into the inner room.

Entering the inner room, Nangong Xu had just removed Tian’s poisonous tooth and was cleaning it.

Tian was lying directly on the bed, unrestrained.

“Aren’t you afraid she’ll suddenly wake up?”

Nangong Xu shook his head, “I gave her anesthetic; it’d be a miracle if she woke up now.”

After speaking, he looked at Baili Xia, solemnly saying, “I’ll check you.”

“Okay.” She walked over to a chair and sat down.

Glancing at Ye Hua on another bed, she asked, “Is Ye Hua alright now?”

“He’s fine, just a few broken bones, we’ll operate later.”

Baili Xia’s lips twitched, “Just a few broken bones,” said so casually.

Then the wounds on her body really are nothing to them.

When Nangong Xu walked over to her and pulled the curtain divider, Baili Xia unfastened her bridesmaid dress.

Her upper body revealed large areas of skin, leaving only a close-fitting undergarment.

Nangong Xu’s heart was pierced at the sight of her back.

On what used to be smooth skin, there were now numerous criss-crossing red marks.

Above the red marks, tiny beads of blood were seeping out.

This girl suffered such heavy injuries yet acted as if nothing was wrong, enduring until now.

Nangong Xu picked up a cotton ball and dipped it in alcohol.

“It’s going to sting a bit, bear with it.”

Once Baili Xia nodded, ready, he gently started wiping her back.

When the cotton ball touched Baili Xia’s skin, her body visibly tensed.

It hurt a lot, Nangong Xu knew, yet she didn’t make a sound.

This girl was becoming increasingly strong.

After treating the wounds and applying medicinal powder, Nangong Xu let Baili Xia put on her clothes.

“These injuries might leave scars.”

Thinking there might be a dozen scars on her back in the future, Nangong Xu’s heart hurt again.

Baili Xia seemed relaxed, smiling.

“It’s alright, yesterday Brother You gave me medicine specifically to remove scars.”

Nangong Xu raised an eyebrow, a hint of surprise in his eyes, “Bei Tianyou gave you medicine again?”
