Be Gentle, My Master
Chapter 2238
Feeling the intense heat emanating from Mu Xiaojiu, Baili Xia quickly raised both hands, pressing against Mu Xiaojiu’s chest.
“Uncle, let me take a look at your wound first.”
Yet Baili Xia’s strength was completely insufficient to push him away; instead of separating, they were even closer.
Moreover, she didn’t dare use force at all, not knowing how serious his injury actually was.
Mu Xiaojiu just held her like that, forcing her to retreat further and further.
His voice became slightly husky: “Don’t act tough anymore, understand?”
Mu Xiaojiu’s stern face was very close to Baili Xia’s; his nose lightly brushed her face, feeling its smoothness.
He had just showered, and the faint fragrance on him smelled quite pleasant.
But Baili Xia couldn’t afford to enjoy this; she was terrified. Wasn’t his uncle supposed to be injured?
Why didn’t he seem injured at all now, with a mind full of such things?
“Uncle… ah!”
Suddenly, Baili Xia exclaimed.
She had been retreating without realizing she’d reached the edge of the bed.
Her calf stumbled at the bed’s edge, and she fell directly onto the bed.
But more frighteningly, her uncle directly lay down as well.
His heavy body pressed against her soft one, making Mu Xiaojiu reluctant to leave.
“It hurts.” Baili Xia winced.
The scars on her back were pressed, and pain instantly surged.
Mu Xiaojiu immediately placed his hands on either side of her, supporting his body to avoid pressing her further.
Moments ago, smelling this girl’s scent, he became distracted and forgot about her injury.
His gaze darkened, his voice carrying a bit of severity.
“Do you know it hurts now?”
Baili Xia looked up at the man above, who lay there, blocking all her view.
“Isn’t it all your fault?”
Mu Xiaojiu was taken aback, his gaze fell upon Baili Xia’s face, with a hint of guilt.
Baili Xia realized her uncle misunderstood her meaning, quickly raised her hands, and pressed them against his chest, pushing with effort.
“If you hadn’t pushed me, how would my wounds be pressed?”
This time, Mu Xiaojiu didn’t resist anymore.
Somewhat forcefully, he flipped off Baili Xia and sat beside her.
Baili Xia sat up, regaining her composure.
She looked at Mu Xiaojiu and softly said, “Uncle, your wound, let me have a look?”
Mu Xiaojiu glanced at her, reached to untie the sash of his bathrobe.
The bathrobe slipped off, revealing his sturdy, layered physique.
Baili Xia’s face immediately flushed, but her gaze fell upon the haphazard scars covering him, causing her heart to tremble.
Especially on the left side of his lower abdomen, there was a knife wound about three or four centimeters wide.
Judging by the time elapsed, the wound had congealed into a blood scab.
Baili Xia’s heart tightened; this knife wound wasn’t a mere cut, it was clearly a stab.
On the surface, one couldn’t tell how deep the stab went.
Fortunately, this wasn’t an important organ, just muscle, otherwise, his life would be in danger.
Uncle, you don’t care enough about your own body.
Even like this, you still want to fight and bathe.
“Wait a moment.”
Baili Xia said hastily, getting up and heading toward the door.
In under three minutes, she returned carrying a medical kit.
Mu Xiaojiu remained sitting at the bedside, unchanged.
Baili Xia approached him, squatting down in front of him.
Without speaking, she opened the medical kit, took out disinfectant and gauze, and began treating Mu Xiaojiu’s wound.
This wound was truly not light at all.
