Mo forced a slight smile on his face and said, “Why are you saying sorry? Is your health better?”

She held Baili Xia’s hand, and the two of them stepped into the room together.

This was the first time Baili Xia had entered Mo’s bridal chamber. The entire room was decorated in red and pink, making one feel warm at heart.

She nodded, “I’m fine now.”

Seeing Mo happy, she felt joy for her in her heart.

But at this moment, she couldn’t shake off the uneasy feeling inside her.

“What’s wrong?” Mo noticed the unusual expression on her face and asked.

Baili Xia looked at her, her gaze flickering with hesitation about whether to tell Mo everything.

Today was her wedding day; these things would undoubtedly disrupt her mood.

But if she didn’t tell her, who knew when Mu Xuri would make a move?

If Mu Xuri went crazy and targeted Mo, what would they do?

“What’s going on? Just tell me, I’m not a fragile little girl.”

Mo, seeing her hesitating to speak, couldn’t hold back any longer.

Baili Xia lowered her eyes to the floor, considered for a few seconds, and finally spoke up.

“Mo, I originally didn’t want to tell you this today.”

“But I was afraid you might be in danger, so I had to warn you.”

Speaking with such seriousness, Mo’s expression became serious too.

She listened quietly without interrupting.

“I didn’t leave this morning because my stomach was uncomfortable. It was because someone wanted to harm Xiaoxiao.”

Mo’s bright eyes immediately lifted, widened as she looked at Baili Xia.

“What? Is Xiaoxiao okay?”

Her hand unconsciously gripped tighter, the person trying to harm Xiaoxiao had finally decided to make a move.

In an instant, she also realized that the person seized the opportunity while Sihai Residence’s defenses were relaxed due to her wedding today.

Baili Xia shook her head, took her hand, and gently patted it.

“Xiaoxiao is fine, don’t worry.”

“But guess who tried to make a move.”

Mo thought about it, shook her head, and asked, “Who is it?”

Baili Xia wouldn’t ask her like this unless the person was someone she knew.

But even as she searched through the Mu Mansion people in her mind, she couldn’t think of anyone who could do this.

“It’s Tian,” Baili Xia finally told her.

Mo looked astonished, finding it hard to believe it was her.

Tian, who looked like Ye Zi, might confuse Xiaoxiao enough not to shoot hidden weapons at her, but what reason did she have to kill Xiaoxiao?

“Mo, the person’s identity isn’t the main point; Tian was just an assassin.”

“The mastermind behind this is very likely Mu Xuri.”

“Mr.Xuri?”

Mo couldn’t believe that Mr.Xuri would do something like that.

He was disabled and already pitiful enough.

He had such a tragic past, and after finally driving Baili Yang out who was occupying the Mu Group’s assets, he returned to the Mu family.

Why would he want to kill Xiaoxiao?

“There are many things you don’t know, and I don’t even know where to start.”

Baili Xia felt deeply conflicted; telling Mo what kind of person Mu Xuri was would also mean disclosing her own past.

What she’s been doing will be known to her, and in the future, she would definitely not let her take risks alone.

“Mo, promise me.”

“If I tell you these things, don’t think too much.”

“You just need to stay peacefully by your brother’s side and not worry about anything, okay?”

As Baili Xia’s words grew more serious, Mo’s heart also became heavier.

Her delicate brows slightly knitted as she looked at Baili Xia with more concern in her gaze.

“What exactly is going on?”
