Wu Ming stepped forward again, and Baili Xia could only retreat step by step. Just like that, he swaggered into the bathroom and casually closed the door.

From inside the bathroom came his shameless voice.

“I didn’t lock the door. If you want to watch, you’re welcome to come in anytime.”

“Bah, who wants to look at you, you shameless creep!”

Baili Xia stomped her foot, gritting her teeth in hatred, yet completely helpless.

The sound of gushing water drifted out; that guy had really started showering.

He actually treated this place like his own room and didn’t feel embarrassed in the slightest!

Baili Xia stewed in her annoyance alone in the room, while the man in the bathroom didn’t care at all.

She didn’t know how long had passed when the bathroom door opened and Wu Ming came out in a bathrobe, dragging a head of wet hair.

Droplets of water were still constantly dripping from his short hair.

Baili Xia couldn’t stand it the moment she saw him: “Can’t you use a towel or something?”

She walked into the bathroom on reflex, took a clean towel, then came back out and walked up to him.

She had originally intended to throw the towel at him, but who knew Wu Ming would actually lower his head on his own, bringing his short hair right up to her.

That movement… why did it feel so familiar?

The person in front of her seemed to no longer be Wu Ming, but the Uncle.

When the Uncle came out with wet hair, he liked to do this—hand his head over to her…

Baili Xia didn’t even know what spell she was under; she actually picked up the towel and started drying his hair for him…

When the short hair was almost dry, she suddenly snapped back to her senses.

Taking a deep breath, she stepped back two paces, staring in disbelief at the man who was sauntering back to the sofa as if nothing had happened.

She had actually mistaken Wu Ming… for the Uncle again…

Why did the two of them feel so similar?

“Why do you keep staring at me? Did you suddenly realize you’ve really fallen for me?”

Wu Ming lounged sideways against the back of the sofa and shot her a glance.

“Nonsense!” Baili Xia didn’t know if she was feeling guilty or what, but she hurriedly took her clothes from the wardrobe and strode into the bathroom.

Even after she closed the door, her heartbeat still wouldn’t calm down.

The Uncle… was it because she missed him too much, or what, that she could look at Wu Ming and see him as the Uncle?

Could it be that she really was overthinking everything?

…By the time she came out of the bathroom, Wu Ming was already lying on the sofa.

Those deep, dark eyes of his were closed; she couldn’t tell whether he was actually asleep or just pretending.

Baili Xia walked over and pushed him: “This little sofa is impossible for you to sleep on. Go to Brother’s room.”

Wu Ming didn’t move at all, not even lifting an eyelid.

Baili Xia pushed him again: “Wu Ming, stop faking sleep. Get up and go to Brother’s place.”

He still didn’t move and didn’t respond.

Baili Xia really felt like kicking him. The sofa wasn’t small, but compared to his one-ninety height, it was practically miniature. How could he possibly sleep well on it?

“Wu Ming…”

He just ignored her.

Baili Xia stomped her foot, snorted, then turned toward the big bed, deciding to ignore him.

Let him try a night on the sofa and see if he really sleeps that comfortably.

Tomorrow, she was definitely going to kick him out of her room!

She flopped onto the bed, thinking she’d definitely be tossing and turning all night.

But unexpectedly, the moment she lay down, she drifted off into a deep sleep.

Only when her steady breathing sounded did the man on the sofa slowly open his eyes.

He got down from the sofa, walked to the bedside, and looked down at her from above.

If she wanted to drive him away, it wouldn’t be that easy.

From now on, he was going to cling to her for good!
