Bei Xier felt a chill in her heart, not expecting Nangong Yun to speak like this.

Back at the Bei Family, although Nangong Yun wasn’t very polite to her, at least he wasn’t overly excessive.

She didn’t want to say more, casually dismissing, “He didn’t do anything to me.”

Bei Xier wanted to return, but she didn’t know the way, not knowing how to leave.

Of course, most importantly, she didn’t know how to drive.

Returning to the Bei Family from here was so far; she didn’t have the courage to drive back.

Driving down the mountain alone was purely out of fright, afraid to stay on the mountain.

Now that there were people, she’d rather be beaten to death than drive.

Nangong Yun seemed to catch on to something, raising his eyebrows, fixing his gaze firmly on Bei Xier’s face.

“You say, he gave you the phone, the car, and even pointed you the way?”

That look, clearly not believing Bei Xier’s words.

Bei Xier nodded; it was the truth, and she didn’t intend to lie.

Although it sounded strange, she herself couldn’t make out why that person did it, but that’s how it happened.

A playful smile appeared on Nangong Yun’s face, his words carrying a bit of sarcasm.

“Bei Xier, are you joking, taking us for three-year-olds?”

“How could that kind of villain do such a thing?”

“Or perhaps, is there some kind of deal between you two that we don’t know about?”

Bei Xier was so angry at Nangong Yun’s words that her face flushed: “You…”

But before she could finish, Nangong Yun interrupted: “Come to think of it, you did the monitoring at Youyang Pavilion, right?”

Bei Xier’s body jolted, roughly guessing what she wanted to say.

Her expression turned unsightly, coldly saying, “Don’t try to slander me.”

“Heh, it’s not that I want to doubt you, it’s just that everything you said seems unbelievable.”

Nangong Yun sneered, relishing such an opportunity to the fullest.

“You set up the monitoring at Youyang Pavilion, and yet he just happened to go to Youyang Pavilion.”

“He escaped and got surrounded by us, and just happened to take you as a hostage.”

“In the end, he didn’t harm you, let you go, gave you a car and a phone, and even pointed you the way.”

“Tell me, who would believe this if you told them?”

Bei Xier snorted coldly, not wanting to bicker further with Nangong Yun.

“If you don’t believe me, you can go to Grandma and Mother and tell them.”

She glanced at the brother standing by the car, calmly saying, “You drive.”

Finished speaking, she opened the car door and stepped out.

Ignoring Nangong Yun, she went straight to the back seat and got in the car.

Nangong Yun watched her demeanor, burning with anger.

“Fine, once we get back, let’s go to Grandma’s together.”

He coldly shut the car window and shouted to the brother at the front: “Drive.”

Four people, two cars, heading back to the Bei Family one after another.

It was still the early hours, yet the main house of the Bei Family was brightly lit.

The Old Madam and Bei Qingyue hadn’t gone to sleep, waiting for Bei Xier to be brought back.

Even the old master got up to wait in the hall.

Everyone looked tense, the hall heavy with atmosphere.

Suddenly, footsteps were heard in the courtyard.

Soon after, Bei Xier and Nangong Yun walked into the hall one after another.

Seeing her return, everyone’s expression finally relaxed.

“Xi’er.”

The Old Madam couldn’t help but softly call out, a rare mist clouding her eyes.
