Baili Xia looked up and glanced at Wu Ming, signaling towards the room.

Wu Ming showed an indifferent attitude, merely nodding slightly, and pushed the door to enter.

He entered the room without even glancing at the people inside, walking directly to the computer and sitting down.

From the moment he entered the door, Bei Xier was looking back at him.

This man was not Xiaxia’s brother; his face was scarred, and he looked far less attractive compared to Xiaxia’s brother.

However, the two shared a similar aura, both possessing an indescribable cold presence.

But this man also carried a sense of a seasoned ruler and an authoritative charisma.

It was unclear what his relationship with Baili Xia was, allowing him to so casually enter her room.

Bei Xier couldn’t help but cast a few more curious glances at Wu Ming, her eyes full of suspicion.

Baili Xia turned back to look at Bei Xier, revealing a faint smile, and said, “This is my friend, his name is Wu Ming.”

“You don’t have to mind him, we can continue our conversation.”

Bei Xier lightly curled her lips; she had no further comments about someone else’s friend.

She looked at Baili Xia, speaking calmly, “Xiaxia, didn’t your brother also come to the Bei Family?”

Baili Xia felt a slight tension, indeed, she wanted to ask about Brother’s matter, it seemed she really recognized him yesterday.

At the very least, she also suspected Brother.

“Yes, my brother came to see me yesterday, his name is Mu Xiaoyao.”

“Do you know my brother?”

Yesterday when Bei Qingyue asked about Mu Xiaoyao, she already mentioned that Brother only came back in the afternoon to see her briefly then left.

At this moment, she could only feign composure with Bei Xier, taking one step at a time.

If she really intended to expose her, she’d think of a way then.

Wu Ming’s fingertips visibly hesitated at the computer keyboard.

His fingers paused on the keyboard, but his gaze remained fixed on the screen, as if lost in thought.

But soon, the keyboard was being lightly tapped again.

“I don’t know him, only met once or twice.”

Bei Xier’s face held no extra expression, making her difficult to read.

Her gaze was tightly fixed on Baili Xia’s face, trying to see if she was hiding anything.

Baili Xia’s heart was slightly anxious, this sentence obviously meant she had met Brother more than just the afternoon.

Sure enough, Bei Xier spoke again.

“Last night, I think I saw him again at Youyang Pavilion.”

Baili Xia’s eyebrow unconsciously raised, her heartbeat suddenly quickened.

She forced herself to remain calm, meeting her gaze and saying, “Really? It’s unlikely, my brother called me last night; he was at Mu Corporation’s Bei Miao Branch.”

Bei Xier smiled faintly; she clearly saw the changes in Baili Xia’s face.

Anyone hearing something like this would find it hard to control themselves.

“Xiaxia, you don’t need to hide anything.”

“Since I’m here to ask you, I just want to know what he really intends to do?”

“Although he kidnapped me last night, he didn’t harm me; he even guided me, taught me how to drive.”

“So, I don’t hate him.”

She paused, stepping closer to Baili Xia.

Now closer, she could clearly sense Baili Xia’s nervousness.

Bei Xier added, “I haven’t told anyone else about what I found, as I feel he’s not a bad person, maybe he doesn’t intend to harm the Bei Family.”

She kept staring at Baili Xia, waiting for her to openly reveal the truth; only then could she decide if she should continue to keep silent.

After all, she was a member of the Bei Family.

The Old Madam treated her with profound kindness, she couldn’t ignore someone truly threatening the Bei Family without speaking.
