Bei Tianyou’s voice was calm, but it left no room for doubt.

The Old Madam hadn’t spoken yet, when Bei Qingyue looked at him and said coolly, “All the evidence now indicates that Xi’er might have been taken by Mu Xiaoyao.”

Just what is so good about Baili Xia that every member of the Bei Family is so concerned about her?

Being Bei Tianyou’s fiancée, it’s understandable to care for her because of that relationship.

But the fact that even Feng Jin could be changed by her was something she couldn’t tolerate.

“We didn’t say they abducted Xi’er, but they should know something.”

Her words were well calculated; though she disliked Baili Xia, she wouldn’t slander her in front of Bei Tianyou without concrete evidence.

Bei Tianyou frowned slightly, suspecting them and investigating is understandable.

But what he worried about was whether Nangong Yun and Bei Zicheng would take the opportunity for revenge?

“In that case, I’ll send someone to find Xiaxia and them together.”

After speaking, Bei Tianyou stood up, about to head out.

Bei Qingyue didn’t stop him, gave him a glance and said coolly, “Okay, but there’s one thing: don’t tell your Uncle Fengjin yet.”

Bei Tianyou’s steps halted instantly, and he looked back at Bei Qingyue, a trace of confusion flashing in his eyes.

She didn’t want him to tell Uncle Fengjin—was she worried that he would intervene?

When did that girl come to hold such an important place in Uncle Fengjin’s heart, to the extent he didn’t even know…

…

Baili Xia walked around the supermarket a few times but finally saw no sign of those two people.

Finally safe, she breathed a sigh of relief.

From today’s whole situation, it was clear the other side had made plans beforehand.

Who was their target? Was it Bei Xier or her?

She didn’t know. If they intended to harm her,

it seemed relatively easy to guess; among the Bei Family, she had only offended Bei Zicheng and Nangong Yun.

If that were the case, wasn’t she indirectly dragging Bei Xier into this?

Baili Xia found a deserted spot, took out her phone from her bag, and immediately made a call to Wu Ming.

Over on Brother’s side, they were likely still fighting those black-clad figures, so she didn’t dare disturb him.

At this moment, all she could think of was to quickly get Wu Ming to come and pick her up.

The phone rang, but after ringing more than a dozen times, it automatically hung up without anyone answering.

Wu Ming and Guisu had gone to train in the back hills and seemed not to have returned yet.

What to do? Under these circumstances, contacting Guisu was impossible.

Baili Xia knew those two people must still be searching for her; staying here would mean they would find her before long.

She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and sent a text message to Wu Ming.

She informed him of what happened and told him she would head back to the Bei Family immediately. Then Baili Xia put her phone back into her pocket.

Baili Xia looked around and, seeing no trace of those two black-clad figures in her sight, stepped out and headed towards the supermarket exit.

She had barely taken a few steps beyond the supermarket door when suddenly her bag’s phone rang.

Baili Xia felt a tightening in her chest; a call at this time could only be from Wu Ming or Brother.

She hurriedly took the phone from her bag, about to answer it when suddenly something pressed against her back.

“Don’t make a sound, walk forward.”

A low voice came from behind, carrying an aura of desolate energy.

It was those two black-clad people!

Baili Xia’s heart tightened; she hadn’t expected them to be waiting for her outside the door.

The hand that was about to pick up the phone dropped back down, and she tried to look back at the person behind her.

But the object in their hand jabbed into her waist, sending a wave of sharp pain through her.
