Seeing her not respond, Wu Ming’s voice grew deeper: “Such a simple thing, do you want to back out?”

His hand lifted to cover his wound.

That look, as if Baili Xia’s attitude agitated his wound.

Baili Xia was utterly speechless; he could be that shameless.

This act really wasn’t convincing.

Baili Xia lowered her head, unsure of how to reply.

She did agree, but, can such a request truly be fulfilled?

If she does, who knows if he’ll push for more next time.

Just now they were discussing such serious matters, and now, unbelievably, they were talking about something so mushy.

“Wu Ming, let’s solve the crisis at hand first, shall we?”

Finally, she raised her head and spoke.

“Girl, I really am in pain.”

“…” Yet again with this trick, Baili Xia truly felt an utter loss of words.

With such a severe injury, of course it hurts.

But coming from Wu Ming, this tough guy, it revealed his mindset.

Baili Xia was pondering how to respond when suddenly there was a noise at the entrance.

“Not good, they’re back.” Baili Xia stood upright, her right hand unconsciously lifting the dagger again.

“Just once, can we?”

But Wu Ming seemed unwilling to let it go, lowering his eyes to look at her, his dark eyes glowing.

Damn it! This guy… he really won’t relent until he gets what he wants.

“I… Wu Ming, let’s wait until we’re out, alright? We can definitely make it out.”

She wouldn’t give in just like that, definitely not!

“Wu Ming, please, let’s get out safely first.”

But he grasped her hand: “Fine, once we’re out, I’ll make sure to get back what’s owed.”

Baili Xia sighed in relief, as long as he wasn’t being stubborn.

The current situation really didn’t allow for them to act recklessly.

“They could come in at any moment, sit down and hide quickly.”

Seeing him still standing there in a daze, Baili Xia half pushed and helped him to the side to sit down.

She returned to the corner, watching the direction of the entrance intently.

If anyone came in, she would make sure to let them taste her silver needles first.

However, strangely, no one entered.

Those people just stood outside the entrance, seemingly throwing something inside.

Baili Xia asked in surprise: “What are they trying to do by throwing things into the cave?”

Wu Ming raised an eyebrow, quickly standing up again.

Taking a look, his thick eyebrows furrowed tightly.

He coldly said, “They want to flush us out.”

“What?” Baili Xia was stunned.

She hurriedly looked toward the entrance, watching as those people piled things outside the cave.

In that moment, she completely understood why there had been no sound earlier; they must have been preparing things to set a fire.

This cave had only one entrance. Once the fire was lit outside, and the dense smoke poured in, they’d have nowhere to run.

Baili Xia turned to look at Wu Ming, asking, “What should we do, Wu Ming?”

She suddenly had no idea what to do.

When she was clueless, she naturally thought of Wu Ming.

Just moments ago she had been valiantly fighting the enemies, but now facing such a predicament, she truly didn’t know how to handle it.

After speaking, he actually leaned against the rock wall, heading directly toward the entrance.

This frightened Baili Xia immensely and she quickly reached out to grab him.

“Wait, I’ll go.”

In his current weakened state, how could Wu Ming stop those people?

If he went over, he would definitely be discovered by them.
