Be Gentle, My Master
Chapter 318: Once He Adored Her As His Life 01_1
That night, Baili Xia went through a lot of trouble.
She had the servant throw away the sheets and blanket, and fervently gave herself a thorough cleaning.
It wasn’t until she was once again sitting in front of him, impeccably dressed, that Mu Xiaojiu was completely satisfied.
He just didn’t like it when there were other men in her room, let alone the scent of another man on her.
The sheets and blanket had been contaminated by Dongfang Ji and couldn’t stay in her room anymore.
Baili Xia was utterly speechless about this.
But, this was Uncle’s territory, his words were law.
Arguing with him would only be a waste of energy.
In the end, she would still have to submit to him.
Since it had come to this, she might as well go along with him.
At most, she would curse him a few more times in her heart, stingy ghost!
…
Early the next morning, the Uncle who had been hugging her all night left again.
It seemed that she had already gotten used to this.
After tidying up, Baili Xia hurriedly grabbed her bag and went downstairs.
Today, she had to go to school.
Mu Ziying came to the main house early in the morning, with the excuse of wanting to have breakfast with them and then go to school.
In fact, she came to tell Baili Xia that Dongfang Ji had been taken away.
Apparently, he had been taken away late last night.
“Wasn’t he in your room?
How did you not know when he was taken away?
What were you doing at the time?”
Facing Mu Ziying’s barrage of questions, Baili Xia could only play dumb.
Who knew what happened last night?
All of this must have been Uncle’s doing.
However, it was good that Dongfang Ji was taken away, at least it ended the small farce.
She still went to school in Brother’s car as usual.
But today, Baili Xia’s stomach really started to hurt.
Her period was so weird, it didn’t hurt on the first day, but it was unbearably painful on the second day.
Since she didn’t want anyone to detect her discomfort, she had to clutch her school bag and put on a fake smile.
By the time her two morning classes were in full swing, Ning Anran noticed that something was amiss about her.
Her face was so pale, there had to be something wrong.
“Are you on your period?” That look, she recognized it.
Baili Xia nodded silently, not saying a word.
Ning Anran was very familiar with her condition since they had known each other for so many years.
“Don’t worry, I’ll go buy you some painkillers later.”
Ning Anran patted the back of her hand and reassured her with a smile.
After class, Ning Anran told Baili Xia to return to her dormitory alone while she hurried off to the campus supermarket.
As Baili Xia was walking alone back to the dormitory, her path was blocked by two rigorously dressed men in the small grove at the back of the school.
“Miss, our young master would like to see you, please follow us.”
Baili Xia took half a step back, visibly on her guard, “I’m sorry, but I don’t know…
”
“He just wants to thank you in person.
Please.”
One of the men approached.
Although he said “please”, he practically forced her to a pavilion not far away.
Under the pavilion, there was a man sitting.
In front of him was a notebook.
His face, while working, was calm, focused, and serious.
That half-cracked side profile was stunning as if untouched by worldly trouble.
Clean, elegant, and nearly celestial.
Baili Xia stared intently at the man’s face, forgetting everything else.
She would have never thought that in her lifetime, she could see him again.
Hadn’t he said he would never see her again?
Why… was he here?
“Jin …”
The man’s fingertips that had been moving on the notebook abruptly stopped.
He frowned slightly and finally looked at her.
After the initial shock in his eyes, hatred took over: “Why is it you?”
