Be Gentle, My Master
Chapter 366: Wuli Uncle is Very Tsundere 19_1
The man looked at Baili Xia, and she immediately understood his intent.
She stood up, glanced at the man, and then at the silver lock chain in her hand, hesitation written on her face.
At the end of the chain were deadly barbs, which could easily hurt her if she wasn’t used to handling it.
Those tiny spikes may seem innocent, but they were capable of tearing flesh until it turned inside out.
Suddenly, the man took two steps towards her.
This time, Baili Xia didn’t dodge.
She seized the opportunity to close in and try to catch his scent.
Unfortunately, she was disappointed—he reeked of medicine.
It was an obvious ruse—he’d intentionally wrapped himself in a medicinal smell to conceal his true scent.
Given this, he must be someone she knew.
Her eldest brother?
Her second brother?
Or perhaps the Night Shadow?
Ye Hua was unlikely, as he was busy serving Uncle at all times.
Helping her while not wishing her to know his identity…
was it because of arrogance, or something else?
The man disregarded Baili Xia’s thoughts and snatched the silver chain from her hand.
His slender fingers pressed lightly on the handle of the silver chain, and the barbs at the end were instantly retracted.
Impressively, it had a secret trigger!
When the man handed back the silver chain, Baili Xia could not contain her excitement.
This advanced weapon was the first of its kind she had ever seen.
Once she got hold of the silver chain, she disregarded her fatigue and started practicing as per the man’s demonstration.
The man stood not too far away, watching her.
He occasionally corrected her, but for most part, observed in silence.
For a whole hour, he watched Baili Xia train.
An hour later, he suddenly turned around and left.
Baili Xia paused, realizing that this was the end of their session for the night.
But what about his silver chain…
“Your thing.” She followed him, reluctantly handing back the silver chain though she didn’t want to.
The man’s starry eyes narrowed slightly behind his sunglasses.
Suddenly, he whipped the silver chain around.
The silver chain circled Baili Xia’s waist as if by its own will.
The man then connected both the ends of the chain with a click.
The silver chain around Baili Xia’s waist looked just like a regular belt—nothing unusual about it.
Plus, it looked quite gorgeous.
Baili Xia looked down at the chain around her waist, then at the man, “…Is this for me?”
The man’s cold eyes flicked at this, his hand reached out to remove the chain around her waist.
Baili Xia immediately backed away.
She looked at him, a smile spreading on her face, “Since it’s a gift, you shouldn’t take it back.”
This guy’s temperament was terrible, and his patience limited, it…
probably wasn’t Ye Hua.
Could it be…
my second Brother?
Because he always was a bit impatient.
Of course, Uncle was like this too, but he wouldn’t play such games with her.
Uncle would only bully her.
When had he ever been silently kind to her?
Unless…
he had turned a new leaf, and suddenly realized that he cared for her…
Was it possible?
Alright, she was just daydreaming.
Uncle…
never!
But then again, the second brother wouldn’t be so bored either…
Really, acting all mysterious.
What’s the point?
But he taught her martial arts, and even gave her a cool weapon.
If he didn’t want to reveal his identity, she wouldn’t ask.
The man didn’t pay her any more attention and turned to leave.
As she watched his retreating figure, Baili Xia hesitated, then asked, “Will you…
be back tomorrow?”
