Unforgettable!

Baili Xia’s breath became chaotic again.

However, she quickly managed to calm herself down.

“Stop your nonsense, your older brother is getting married soon, and you know it.”

“That’s exactly why I don’t understand.

He’s about to get married, but he’s still thinking about another woman.”

“No, I think you’re misunderstanding.”

Baili Xia suddenly stood up, looking at him, her smile somewhat uneasy.

“I need to return to my dorm, my friends are waiting for me, do you have anything to say …”

“Do I look like I have nothing to say?

Am I not talking to you right now?”

Dongfang Ji put his hands on his chest, looking at her lazily: “Sit down and talk.

I didn’t say I was going to hurt you.”

Baili Xia stared at his face, her chaotic breathing calming down again after a while.

She sat back on the stone bench, but did not look at him anymore.

She just watched the scenery outside the pavilion, her gaze unfocused.

“You’re his brother, you should know that certain things shouldn’t be said carelessly.”

“I don’t think there’s anything that I can’t say.

If my brother’s about to marry a woman he doesn’t love, I would rather he didn’t.”

“Dongfang!” Baili Xia abruptly turned her head to look at him.

“Marriage is a lifelong matter, it’s not a matter of joking.

After all, whether to marry or not is your brother’s business.

I don’t think you, as his brother, should say anything about it.”

“My brother and I are very close, there’s nothing we can’t talk about.”

Dongfang Jin didn’t seem to care, and somehow had a cigarette, which lit up with a snap.

Baili Xia wanted to remind him that smoking was not allowed on campus.

But, a big shot like him probably wouldn’t care about her words.

So, she swallowed the words that were on the tip of her tongue.

As for what he said about his brother’s marriage, she didn’t want to comment.

It’s not her place to judge their affairs.

“I want to know what happened a year ago, why you did nothing to save him, and even threw stones to push him back into the sea?”

“I didn’t!” Her palm tightened, and her face instantly turned pale.

Dongfang Ji paused, turning his head to stare at her face with narrowed eyes.

Baili Xia knew she had reacted too strongly.

She took a deep breath, glanced at him, then looked away, not wanting to see him anymore.

“Believe it or not, I’ve explained it.”

“Exactly nobody believes you, so you gave up?”

“What do you mean by that?” She looked at him, disbelief flashing in her eyes.

He…

Dongfang Ji…

was he willing to listen to her?

“Then I’ll give you a chance, tell me the truth.” Dongfang Ji added.

“The truth is that he was drunk that night and mistook someone else for me.”

“You think that’s believable?

My brother’s too clever, how could he have mistaken one person for another?”

Dongfang Ji took a deep inhale of his cigarette, he didn’t want to doubt this girl who had saved him once.

But, he couldn’t accept such an explanation.

Should he believe that his brother mistook another person?

However, Baili Xia smiled, her smile revealing a touch of helplessness.

“So, I’ve said before that there’s no need to keep talking, because nobody would believe me.”

Even she herself didn’t believe it.

Jin wouldn’t be that stupid, and he wasn’t even drunk enough that night to make such a mistake.

But he really did confuse them, and his stubborn mind was fixed on his version of the truth.

No matter what she said, he wouldn’t believe her.

If he didn’t believe her, what was the point of what others believed or not to her?
