Be Gentle, My Master
Chapter 484: Uncle I Don't Drink Alcohol_1
“Understood.” Since the man had arrived, Baili Xia didn’t want to beat around the bush anymore.
Whatever the matter was, it was better to clarify it.
After all, while Uncle was away, he was really good to her.
If it was a misunderstanding, it had to be explained.
She walked up the spiral staircase leading to Uncle’s room – the door was tightly shut.
She looked back at Ye Hua, and after climbing the stairs, she realized her heart was fluttering with nervousness.
Seeing Uncle alone, especially when he was furious, was cause for unrest.
Who could tolerate Uncle’s terrible temper?
Ye Hua nodded at her, urging her to hurry up.
Even if Baili Xia was uneasy, she had to enter the room.
She knocked on the door, but there was no response from inside.
She gently pushed the door, and it opened.
“Uncle,” Baili Xia softly called out before stepping inside.
The light in the room was off, leaving it dark.
But she could still make out the man standing by the window.
He was wearing a bathrobe and holding a wine glass, drinking again.
The smell of the liquor was strong, but not to Baili Xia’s liking.
“Uncle,” She quietly closed the door and was about to turn on the light.
The man by the window suddenly said in a cold voice, “Come here.”
Baili Xia instinctively pulled back her hand that was reaching for the light switch on the wall.
Eventually, she braced herself and walked over.
“Uncle, Brother and I truly don’t have that kind of relationship, he was just joking.”
As she stood behind him, to prevent his sudden burst of temper, she hurriedly explained.
“He deliberately said that, but it’s not the truth.”
“Drink.” Mu Xiaojiu, who had his back to her, suddenly pulled her towards him.
Unprepared, Baili Xia stumbled onto his firm chest, a sharp pain instantly radiating from her shoulder.
But in the darkness, Mu Xiaojiu couldn’t see the expression of pain on her face.
A glass of wine was shoved to her lips, the intense smell of the alcohol making her frown instantly.
“Uncle, I don’t drink wine.” Baili Xia quickly shook her head.
“Drink.” He disregarded her, pushing the glass closer to her lips.
Helpless, Baili Xia could only take small sips from the edge of the glass.
Fortunately, Uncle wasn’t forcing her to gulp it down, so it wasn’t unbearable.
However, even though it was one small sip after another, she finished the entire glass.
After the alcohol went down, Baili Xia’s head was slightly dizzy.
Mu Xiaojiu abruptly picked her up and walked towards the nearby sofa, sitting down.
This time, he directly took the wine bottle and held it to her lips.
“Uncle, I really can’t drink.” Baili Xia placed her hands on the wine bottle and gently pushed it away.
He ignored her, still stubborn.
Baili Xia realized that since she had upset him today, if she didn’t comply, he might punish her.
With no other choice, she forced herself to sip the wine.
In a flash, almost half a bottle of red wine was gulped down by her.
Baili Xia, who barely had any experience with alcohol, felt faint after drinking so much.
She slumped weakly in Mu Xiaojiu’s arms, not understanding why Uncle insisted her on drinking, and before she knew it, she was drunk.
Mu Xiaojiu didn’t force her to drink more.
This girl’s tolerance for alcohol was ridiculously poor – knocked out after just half a bottle.
He casually opened another bottle for himself, leisurely sipping it.
Not until he had finished the bottle of red wine, did he put it down.
Looking at Baili Xia, she had a flush on her face and her eyes were dazed, obviously heavily drunk.
Seeing her in this state, Mu Xiaojiu became nervous.
