Be Gentle, My Master
Chapter 583: Uncle I Beg You_1
Baili Xia’s attention was entirely focused on Ning Anran, about to shake off the girls holding her back.
By the time she saw the patch of black liquid coming at her, it was too late to dodge!
“Ah!” A shriek blurted out.
Seeing the blob of black pitch splash towards Baili Xia, Ning Anran was terrified.
She screamed, wanting to shield Baili Xia, but it was hopeless, she wouldn’t make it in time.
Baili Xia wouldn’t make it in time to dodge either.
In the heat of the moment, she could only turn around, using her back to face the incoming black liquid.
Despite not knowing what it was, looking at this black substance, she felt an unspeakable revulsion.
No matter what, she couldn’t let it splash on her face— if it was something acidic or alkaline, it would be a disaster.
Baili Xia knew it was impossible to avoid, so she closed her eyes, waiting for the moment the liquid would drench her.
But after a few seconds, she felt nothing unusual.
It seemed like the black liquid hadn’t landed on her back; otherwise, she’d certainly feel something sticky and wet, no?
“Wow…
so handsome!
He…
he blocked it…”
“Why did he come?”
“Uncle…
Uncle…”
Instead of waiting for the grime to splash on her, sounds of chatter arose around her.
Baili Xia opened her eyes and turned around.
Standing in front of her was a man, a very tall man.
His whole figure completely shielded her, offering a powerful sense of security.
Looking at him, all the black pitch had splashed onto him, covering him everywhere.
Yet thanks to his protection, she found not one drop of ink on herself.
The girl who had splashed the ink, upon noticing Mu Xiaojiu’s arrival, immediately turned and left.
Ye Hua immediately commanded his staff to give chase.
Meanwhile, a few others had been so awestruck by Mu Xiaojiu’s boldness that they were unable to regain their composure.
Those who could, however, had long since fled.
Who would dare stay here, courting death?
To think that the Uncle had actually come!
Even using his own body to shield Baili Xia from the splashed ink!
The Uncle was being too good, too kind to Baili Xia.
That damn, treacherous woman, who does she think she is?
“Un… Uncle…” Baili Xia was slightly unnerved, a trace of fear creeping into her voice.
Being surrounded and attacked by so many people hadn’t scared her.
However, the moment she saw Uncle, she was unexpectedly flustered.
Originally, she was already afraid of Uncle, especially after experiencing the aggressive incident a few days ago, she dared not see him again.
Intending to leave Jin City, she would finally have a few peaceful days ahead of her.
Not having to see him felt like a huge weight had been lifted, and the sky seemed bluer.
But why had Uncle, who was supposed to have left Jin City, shown up now?
Given the choice, she’d rather be splashed with ink than…
face him.
Even though Uncle had saved her, the horrifying impression he had made was deeply engrained.
“Hmm? Are you afraid of me?” Mu Xiaojiu’s eyebrows furrowed slightly.
His voice was icy cold as he pulled the little creature into his arms.
He had saved her by showing up here, yet instead of showing gratitude, she seemed to be rather put off by him.
“No, not so.” Baili Xia hurriedly explained.
It seemed that she had crossed him again somehow.
She wanted to struggle from his embrace, but Mu Xiaojiu was holding her so tightly she couldn’t push him away.
Here in the school, in front of so many students, she didn’t want to do anything indecent.
She tried to push him away again, fluttering her frantic gaze to meet his eyes: “Uncle, please.”
