Chapter 724: If You Leave Remember to Tell Me_1

“Alright.” Baili Xia accepted without any hesitation.

She then looked at Bei Tianyou, “If you are leaving, let me know.

I’ll see you off.”

Bei Tianyou looked at her for a while before finally nodding, “Alright.”

…Their car drove away, and only when it was completely out of sight did Baili Xia look away.

She pulled out her phone to save Bei Tianyou’s number.

As soon as she put it away, she lifted her head to see Tan Xiao rushing towards her.

When Tan Xiao reached her, Baili Xia spoke first, looking at the gasping Tan Xiao.

“If it’s something serious, tell me after I finish my class. I can’t skip anymore!”

She had become infamous for skipping classes; even Uncle knew about it!

Couldn’t they wait until after her class to discuss those things?

If she kept skipping classes, she would surely fail all her subjects at the end of the term.

Then, Uncle would force her to study until she was sick of it!

“I’m not asking you to skip classes. I just want to tell you that we have a class meeting after the class today,” said Tan Xiao with a smile.

However, something felt odd to Baili Xia, and she couldn’t help but furrow her brows.

“A class meeting… do you really have to come here to tell me in person?”

Couldn’t she have waited until they were back in class to tell her?

There was no need to take this extra trip.

It’s not like she wouldn’t be going back to class.

“Didn’t I just get too excited when I saw you?” Tan Xiao took her hand.

Ignoring Xia’s confusion, she pulled her towards the classroom, “Hurry, it’s time for the class.”

Baili Xia had originally planned to stop by the dormitory and check on Zimo and Xiaoxiao.

However, due to Mr.

Bei’s departure from the Mu family, she was delayed quite a bit.

Now, it was indeed almost time for class.

Whatever it was, it could wait until they were in class.

She texted Xiaoxiao to wait for her in the dormitory, and then followed Tan Xiao to the classroom.

Two periods later, after less than two hours, the classes were over.

As soon as the substitute teacher left, Tan Xiao immediately announced, “We will have a class meeting in five minutes.”

Everyone started leaving the classroom one after the other, some to take a break, some to go to the restroom.

Anyway, all of them would be back in five minutes.

Tan Xiao stood on the podium, with the assistant class monitor and some class officials sitting close by.

Because Baili Xia was the basketball team captain, she was sitting with them too.

Upon seeing Chen Ming sitting not far away, she couldn’t help but inquire after him.

“How are you?

Is your injury getting better?”

“Much better.” Chen Ming nodded at her, “Thanks to you.”

“Me?” Baili Xia pointed at herself.

She was not the doctor who treated him.

What did he mean by “thanks to her”?

Chen Ming just smiled without saying anything, careful not to move much so as not to hurt his wound.

On the podium, Tan Xiao, with a serious expression, looked at everyone.

Everyone began to quiet down, and when the entire classroom was silent, Tan Xiao started to speak.

“I believe all of you must have heard about this.

Yesterday afternoon, Baili Xia brought us great honor.”

“…” Baili Xia, who was about to take a sip of water, immediately put down her glass, turned her head and met dozens of gazes being cast on her, leaving her somewhat at a loss.

She was used to keeping a low profile and was not particularly keen on getting attention.

“Thanks to Xiaxia, our basketball team was saved.”

Tan Xiao’s eyes also fell on Baili Xia, with amusement in her eyes.

“As the class monitor, I was not capable of protecting everyone.

So, I tender my resignation.”

“Tan Xiao, what…

what are you talking about?” Baili Xia, startled, stared at her.

Why would Tan Xiao resign when she was doing just fine as a class monitor?

Everyone else was looking at Tan Xiao as well, confusion in their eyes.

However, Tan Xiao was firm as she looked back at the crowd, and loudly announced, “We, the class committee, have discussed this. From today onwards, Baili Xia is our new class monitor.”
