Be Gentle, My Master

Chapter 820: You Always Spoil Her

  • Next Chapter

It was a simple phrase, yet when Baili Xia heard it, warmth instantly filled her heart.

Brother wasn’t one to say much, but when he did, he meant it.

He offered to help her, and regardless of whether or not he could, at least he was willing.

A hint of bitterness touched her lips, but she still smiled.

Even if she wouldn’t ask him for help, just knowing he would offer was enough to make her feel warm and cozy.

Suddenly, something brushed against her fingertips.

She looked down sharply and saw a large lobster had moved to her hand.

The claw, which had originally been tied with plastic rope, had inexplicably freed itself and was now opening its scissor-like, razor-sharp pincers towards her fingers.

“Ah!” Baili Xia’s face changed suddenly, and she let out a startled scream, hastily retreating.

But this retreat caused her to lose balance while squatting, and she fell backwards.

Someone caught her before she hit the ground, helping her to stand firmly.

As she was still trying to calm her nerves, Mu Xiaoyao bent down and picked up the large lobster.

“Let’s take this one. Whatever fright it gave you, you give back tonight as you eat it.”

The boss was beaming and immediately brought over a net bag.

Baili Xia patted her chest, and when she was no longer scared, she finally laughed.

“Okay, tonight, I’ll devour it!”

…

Charcoal-grilled lobster was truly a delicacy of this world.

Especially this one, which weighed at least fifteen pounds.

Spread across the grill, it took up almost a third of the space.

“Fortunately, our grill is big enough,” Mu Ziying mumbled as she looked at the large lobster in front of Baili Xia, beginning to grumble again.

“Xiaxia, you’re too domineering, wanting to eat such a huge lobster by yourself.”

She wasn’t lucky today; at the seafood market, there weren’t many lobsters over ten pounds.

Baili Xia and Mu Xiaoyao managed to find such a large one, which really felt unfair.

Next to the lobster they chose for Baili Xia, the one Mu Ziying and Dongfang Ji had selected looked like a kitten next to a tiger.

In any case, the sight of Baili Xia’s lobster just didn’t sit well with her.

She was so envious that she wanted to snatch it and swallow it whole.

“Who said I was going to eat it alone?” Baili Xia said, giggling.

The gloom from the afternoon was almost completely forgotten after some fun on the island in the evening.

“A claw for Jin, and one for Mr.

Nangong.”

“And Brother?

He’s the one who brought you the lobster, and you’re not sharing with him?

How biased.”

Mu Ziying immediately felt sorry for Mu Xiaoyao.

This Baili Xia, she really had no conscience.

“The head is for Brother, to nourish the brain.” The head was actually the best part, even she knew that, and she wasn’t someone who often ate large lobsters.

Mu Ziying pouted.

Anyway, she just wasn’t pleased with Baili Xia’s lobster today.

So, seizing an opportunity, she teased again, “Are you implying that Brother is dim-witted?

Brother, listen to her, she thinks you’re slow.”

Looking at Mu Xiaoyao sitting by Baili Xia, she mockingly stirred the pot, “Brother, she’s disdaining you.”

Mu Xiaoyao took a leisurely sip from his beer bottle, indifferent, “Then I’ll just have to eat more and replenish.”

Baili Xia immediately beamed at Mu Ziying with a victorious smile, her eyes curving with joy.

Mu Ziying glared at the two of them, visibly upset, “Brother, you’re always indulging her; one day, she’ll take advantage of you.”

Mu Xiaoyao simply didn’t pay attention, continuing to leisurely drink his light beer, occasionally flipping the lobster for Baili Xia.

The lobster was indeed very heavy; Baili Xia couldn’t turn it over on her own.
