Be Gentle, My Master
Chapter 833: Mr
When Mu Xiaojiu suddenly came out, Ye Hua quickly stood up from the sofa.
“Mr. Xiaojiu.” It seemed Mr.
Xiaojiu’s mood had worsened; he looked…
very intimidating.
What on earth had Nangong Xu said to him?
“Come climb the mountain with me.” After speaking, he didn’t linger, opened the door, and walked out first.
Climbing the mountain?
What time was it now, and the mountain paths here were utterly unfamiliar.
With Mr.
Xiaojiu looking that way, he wouldn’t come back until he was utterly exhausted.
It looked like he was in for a tough night.
He turned to glance at Nangong Xu, who had followed him, his eyes pleading for help.
“What did you say to Mr. Xiaojiu?”
Nangong Xu ignored him, sat down on the sofa, picked up his glass of wine, and began to sip slowly.
Ye Hua glared at him helplessly and hurried out the door to chase after Mr.
Xiaojiu.
After leaving the hotel, Mu Xiaojiu started striding ahead at a fast pace.
His speed was so fast it wore out Ye Hua, who followed behind.
It took them a good fifteen minutes of rapid walking before they stopped beneath a cliff.
Ye Hua, panting heavily, looked up at the cliff in front of him, his heart seized, and his mind felt numb all of a sudden.
The cliff before them seemed bottomless in the pitch-black night.
During the day, this cliff could be seen from the seaside; it was situated halfway up the mountain, entirely bare.
Although they had undergone ample training in the past, and climbing a cliff of this height was not particularly difficult for them.
But now it was nighttime, the lighting was poor, and the location unfamiliar; it was hard to find suitable points to leverage.
Moreover, after the nearly fifteen minutes of sprinting, they really didn’t have much strength left.
Most importantly, there were no safety measures.
Rock climbing in a strange place was extremely risky.
Of course, another very pertinent point was that fine drizzles had started to drift in the sky.
Perhaps before long, a heavy rain would fall.
How dangerous would it be if it started raining when they were halfway up the climb, unable to go up or down?
“Mr., Mr., Mr. Xiaojiu, you couldn’t possibly want to climb this, could you?” Gasping for air, Ye Hua couldn’t help but gulp down his saliva repeatedly.
However, Mu Xiaojiu responded to him with actions.
He walked to the base of the cliff, reached up to grab a protruding rock, and started to climb up, quickly reaching a height of several meters.
Ye Hua shook his head, resigning himself to his fate.
Mr.
Xiaojiu would never consider these minor dangers; even if he truly had an accident and fell, as long as he didn’t die, it wouldn’t be a serious injury to him.
Mr.
Xiaojiu was like a wolf, utterly wild.
Unlike him, who was overly cautious, not fearing for himself but most afraid of hurting Mr.
Xiaojiu.
…About an hour later, the two of them reached the top of the cliff.
Ye Hua lay on the ground, not wanting to move at all, completely drained of energy.
Thank heaven, they had finally made it up safely.
Usually, climbing a hundred-meter-high cliff would take about half an hour, but this time it had taken twice as long, indicating the difficulty.
The physical exertion was also tremendous.
Moreover, when they had reached a negative angle halfway up the cliff, it really scared him.
If Mu Xiaojiu hadn’t looked back to help him, he wouldn’t have known whether he would still be alive.
Mu Xiaojiu sat beside him, gazing into the darkness, at some distant, unknown place.
He took out a cigarette from his pocket, snapped it alight with a flick, and slowly smoked.
