But really, aside from her being busy, it seemed like these two were often hard to find.

Every time I called, they would hastily hang up.

Xiaoxiao had accepted quite a few roles and really was busy, but what about Zimo?

She looked at Zimo, “Are you this busy following Brother around too?

Is Brother treating you badly?

He hasn’t loaded you with a lot of tasks, has he?”

Zimo shook her head distantly, her face calm, “Everything’s fine, it’s just sometimes inconvenient to talk on the phone when Mr.

Mu is around.”

“I get it, you’re afraid he’ll mind.”

The three of them walked down the street, and Baili Xia seemed to be in a good mood.

Turning back to look at Zimo, she smiled and said, “So what exactly does a personal bodyguard have to do? It can’t just be sitting there watching him all day, can it?”

Being watched all day long, doesn’t Brother find it tiring?

If it were me, being stared at all day would feel so uncomfortable.

“Not just that, I also run errands for him and do other things within my abilities.”

Zimo spoke as usual, methodically, without much emotion.

“It’s only when he needs to go out that I stay close by his side.”

Baili Xia tilted her head to look at her, “But isn’t it odd for him to always have a girl by his side?”

“I can act as his assistant, although I don’t know much, but pretending a bit doesn’t hurt,” Zimo said.

Baili Xia nodded, still unclear about how a personal bodyguard and their employer actually get along.

But with Zimo, she always takes her duties seriously and would surely do well unless the requests were unreasonable.

There really wasn’t a need for her to worry about Zimo’s work; she was just a bit curious, “Don’t you and my brother talk about other things normally?”

Lastly, she added, “You two are always together, there must be some topics, right?

What does he talk to you about?”

Zimo looked at her, shook her head, and said innocently, “We don’t talk much.”

Baili Xia frowned slightly and gave her a glance, “What a waste of resources.”

“Exactly, I’ve told her several times, but she doesn’t listen,” Xiaoxiao said with a mischievous smile, poking Zimo’s arm.

“Having such a handsome man like Mr.

Mu by your side and not making use of that, it’s simply a waste.”

“What can I possibly do with him being such a big guy?” Zimo frowned.

The phrase “not making use of” made it sound like Mr.

Mu was an object, she wondered what these two girls were thinking.

Their gazes, why did they always seem so peculiar?

Baili Xia and Xiaoxiao looked at each other and couldn’t help but laugh.

“It seems I need to go write a book, and the title of the book will be ‘This Bodyguard, Somewhat Clueless.'”

“Shouldn’t it be ‘Somewhat Cute’?” Xiaoxiao also chuckled.

“Okay, then ‘Cluelessly Cute,'” Baili Xia grinned mischievously, “This bodyguard is both clueless and cute, just the perfect combination.”

Zimo had no idea what they were laughing at, but she always had this slightly strange feeling.

It felt somewhat uncomfortable, but she couldn’t pinpoint exactly why.

“Okay, we need to head back now, and stop making fun of her, knowing she can be a bit slow sometimes.”

Xiaoxiao took Zimo by the hand, then turned to Baili Xia, “Are you going back to school?”

“I’m going back with Brother, you guys go ahead.”

For some reason, Baili Xia seemed suddenly eager to have them leave.

After finally hustling them towards the distant bus stop, she breathed a sigh of relief.

Only after watching them board the bus and the bus drive away did she turn around and walk in another direction.

At the end of the alley, a man stood there, quietly watching her.
