Be Gentle, My Master
Chapter 906: More Atmosphere at Night
Mu Xiaojiu at last spared her further teasing; the young girl’s heart wasn’t strong enough to handle even a bit of risqué talk.
However, he did enjoy seeing her blush to the tips of her ears.
Every time he saw her flustered and panicky because of his words, his mood would be particularly good.
Mu Xiaojiu did not continue with those comments, and Baili Xia quickly took his hand, hurrying away from the campus.
To avoid Ye Hua, Mu Xiaojiu didn’t even bring his car this time.
For their “date,” they would have to hail a taxi.
Of course, the likelihood of Mr.
Xiaojiu flagging down a cab on the roadside was slim, unless it was an emergency.
Hence, the task of hailing a taxi fell to Baili Xia.
Once they were in the car, Baili Xia immediately looked at the man beside her, “Uncle… Jiu, where should we go?”
He had said he wanted to date her, but had not mentioned where exactly.
Mu Xiaojiu himself hadn’t decided; he only knew he wanted to date her, and that this was a way to show his affection.
As for what they should do on the date, he hadn’t really considered that.
He glanced at the driver ahead, “Find a place suitable for a date.”
Baili Xia’s little face became red hot.
Still, the driver remained calm, feeling a chill down his spine the moment the man got into his car, almost as if he was transporting some important figure.
But now, hearing they were going on a date and seeing them both look like students, he settled down.
“Not far from here is a park that the students around here particularly enjoy, especially couples…”
“No, not a park. Somewhere with lots of people.”
Baili Xia cut the driver off in mid-sentence.
A park?
With Uncle’s malign intent, and if it gets darker, and if the groves are less populated, then maybe, possibly…
something might indeed happen to her.
Parks were not safe at all.
Besides, parks were too secluded, the perfect place for an assassin to act.
On second thought, it was too risky.
They needed to find somewhere crowded so that even if the assassin recognized him, it would be difficult to make a move.
“Well, there’s a cinema nearby that many couples like to go to for movies.”
The driver was still trying to brainstorm some “activities” for their date, “However, it’s not evening yet, not quite the time for movies.”
“No, not the movies,” Baili Xia rejected the idea once more.
The events that unfolded in the cinema last time were still clear in her memory.
Cinemas, with their surrounding darkness, also made it convenient for assassins to act.
With the possibility of another assassination attempt, no one could guarantee Uncle’s safety, let alone without Ye Hua and the others following along this time.
“Not parks or movies, then… how about going to a mall?”
The driver was almost out of options; usually, couples liked quiet, secluded places that were convenient for getting close.
But this young girl was different, insisting on crowded places, what was the appeal in that?
“Good, let’s go to the mall.”
Baili Xia breathed a sigh of relief, pleasantly deciding on the spot.
Although she knew the man by her side was not at all pleased.
Probably, he was still thinking about parks and cinemas, right?
Inside the mall, it was bustling with people coming and going.
Although a certain man was still disappointed they didn’t go to the cinema or somewhere similar, seeing the young girl’s growing enthusiasm lifted his spirits as well.
The cinema and such could wait until later; the evening would bring a more atmospheric setting, wouldn’t it?
