Be Gentle, My Master
Chapter 926: As Long As You're Good I'll Listen to Anything You Say
The large hand holding Baili Xia’s little one tightened further, startling her as she forced a more difficult smile.
“I haven’t said anything, and you think I’m lying. Can we administer the injection now?”
The grip on her five fingers tightened further, his thick brows furrowed tighter, and his face was devoid of any expression.
But looking at him, it was obvious he was refusing.
Baili Xia looked at Nangong Xu with a questioning glance in her eyes, “What should we do now?”
Not willing to take medicine, afraid of needles—how can a man make falling ill such a hassle?
“Injections in the buttocks work faster. I think Mr. Xiaojiu just doesn’t like exposing his flesh in front of others.”
Nangong Xu stood up, ignoring the protest from the man on the bed regarding his comment.
He went to the side, squeezed out the medicine into the syringe.
Then he handed the syringe to Baili Xia, “We’ll step out for a moment. When you’re done, you can open the door.”
Mu Xiaoyao had already turned and was heading for the door first, with Nangong Xu following closely behind.
It wasn’t until the door closed that Baili Xia finally exhaled, turned back to look at the man still lying on the bed, his face filled with wariness, and managed a strained smile.
“Uncle, it’s just a quick moment, like a mosquito bite. It’ll be over in a flash.”
Mu Xiaojiu couldn’t speak but just glared at her, his gaze fierce.
“Uncle, don’t be so stubborn. Trust me, I’ve learned how to give injections, and I’m very skilled. It won’t hurt,” she assured, approaching him with the syringe.
As his eyes reflected the slender needle, Mu Xiaojiu’s lips pressed together even tighter.
When Baili Xia approached, he suddenly raised his hand and pushed her away.
The force wasn’t strong, but it was enough to successfully push her away, clearly not allowing her to get close.
He sat up from the bed, flung the covers aside, and was about to get off.
Baili Xia lunged over and grabbed his arm, stopping him from acting rashly.
“Uncle, you’re running such a high fever.
Where do you think you’re going?”
“It’s not okay to refuse medicine and injections.
With your throat so inflamed, taking medicine is likely difficult.
This injection has to be administered.”
“Uncle, please, stop being so stubborn, okay?
Trust me, it’s just a quick moment, and it won’t hurt.”
She continued to persuade him, “Uncle, be good.
From now on, I’ll do whatever you say.”
The man raised an eyebrow but remained tense and guarded.
Baili Xia knew what he meant, and her face flushed slightly red.
But she kept coaxing him, “Yes, I’ll do as you say. Once you’re better, you can do whatever you want.”
He wanted to speak, but as soon as he opened his mouth, his throat burned painfully, making it impossible for him to talk.
Baili Xia was truly scared, afraid he would hurt his throat by speaking.
She promptly fixed her gaze on him, nodding vigorously.
“I always keep my word. Once you’re well, you can do anything you want—of course… only for one night.”
He was pondering, not immediately agreeing nor refusing.
Baili Xia pouted her lips and glared at him.
“If you don’t agree, then forget it. Later I’ll ask my master to come back, and have him and Brother hold you down while I inject the medicine into your body.”
A threatening message flashed in the depths of Mu Xiaojiu’s eyes.
Although Baili Xia’s heart thudded in fear, she pretended not to notice.
Staring at the ceiling, she mumbled, “I mean what I say.
If you don’t behave, I will definitely follow through.”
“When the time comes to pull down your pants, if they see your buttocks, I won’t care.”
He grabbed her hand again, this time with a bit more force.
