Chapter 732: Spark Appears! Rescuing the Desperate! (Part 2)

Wave Fist Water Ape stayed beside the lifeboat, alert to its surroundings, while the crew dispatched their own Pet Beasts to help keep watch.

The fierce winds slapped their faces, the rain soaked them to the skin, yet the giant shark was nowhere to be seen.

Then, suddenly, waves surged beneath the boat, and a tremendous force seemed about to capsize the lifeboat. Li Zhen’s gaze sharpened: “It’s right down there!”

Wave Fist Water Ape let out a low growl and plunged into the depths, but a massive shadow abruptly loomed into view, charging with a terrifying ferocity that caught even the ready Wave Fist Water Ape off guard.

Bam!

Wave Fist Water Ape’s body was severely hit, and the tremendous force hurled it dozens of meters away, forming a perfect arc across the storm-laden sea, finally crashing heavily into the water.

Boom!

Water splashed everywhere, columns of spray shot skyward.

Li Zhen’s face changed drastically, shouting: “Wave Fist Water Ape!”

The good news was, Wave Fist Water Ape hadn’t lost its ability to act; it shook its head, struggling to rise.

The bad news was, Furious Sea Shark had already closed in on the front of the lifeboat, opening its fearsome mouth revealing sharp fangs.

Furious Sea Shark swam forward, and a wave several meters high surged in its wake.

The lifeboat was lifted high by the mighty wave, almost climbing the wave’s peak vertically at one moment, then crashing hard into the abyss the next, cold seawater pouring down, instantly flooding the lifeboat, the bone-chilling cold and despair of being engulfed by the waves instantly eroded everyone’s will.

With the fierce giant shark ahead and the storm behind, everyone was shrouded in a shadow of hopelessness…

“Tweet!”

At that moment, a clear and penetrating cry suddenly sounded, piercing through the depths of heavy clouds, echoing sharply beside everyone’s ears.

Following that, a dazzling beam of gold-red light pierced the somber sky, tearing open the clouds, like a golden sun igniting the firmament.

In a daze, everyone stared upward, forgetting the danger around them, as if they had glimpsed paradise.

No, that’s not paradise!

It’s an extraordinary Pet Beast, its magnificent wings like a sword piercing through darkness, each feather gleaming brightly in the dim light, its huge body remaining unmoved amidst the wild winds.

It descended from the sky, dispelling swathes of darkness upon its appearance, spreading warmth.

This regal, noble-looking, unnamed Pet Beast drew closer and closer, its exquisite and delicate body, its golden flames surging all over, leaving everyone spellbound.

Just then, the second wave from Furious Sea Shark hit, as the lifeboat was about to be mercilessly engulfed by the peak of the wave, this unnamed Pet Beast hovered above them, extending a huge claw with irresistible force to grab the tossing lifeboat!

In the next second, the yellow lifeboat was lifted by a massive upward force, away from the turbulent sea, out of the despairing environment.

The magnificent wings flapped fiercely, stirring up torrents, dispersing the rain curtain all around.

This unnamed Pet Beast paid no heed to the raging sea below, swiftly and steadily carrying the heavy lifeboat across the surging sea.

This sudden change left everyone on the boat bewildered, while Furious Sea Shark was momentarily dazed.

But as the lifeboat drifted farther away, Furious Sea Shark abruptly turned, swinging its massive body to pursue, leaping vertically, its fearsome open mouth aiming to devour the lifeboat.

The menacing sharp teeth reflected in their eyes, causing dizziness among them, yet another potent cry suddenly pierced their ears: “Tweet!”

The moment the sound began, Furious Sea Shark seemed to witness an extremely terrifying sight, its face changed dramatically, its body plunging straight down.

Bam!

The huge impact created a vast splash, Furious Sea Shark dumbfoundedly staring at the unnamed Pet Beast flying in mid-air.

It had just caught the scent of its kin’s blood on this Pet Beast.

“Roar!!!”

At that instant, the revitalized Wave Fist Water Ape sprang forward, targeting Furious Sea Shark with a powerful punch.

Bam!

Sharp white light exploded, and the punch packed with immense strength fiercely struck Furious Sea Shark, sending it flying once again into the sea.

Wave Fist Water Ape seized the advantage, charging forth, wielding double fists to deliver a continuous barrage, the punch wind whirling into a dense net, thoroughly enveloping Furious Sea Shark.

Moments later,

Wave Fist Water Ape withdrew its blood-stained fists, aiming a deep breath at the utterly incapacitated Furious Sea Shark: “Roar…”

It had finally won.

Seeing the troublesome, hateful Furious Sea Shark finally defeated, everyone on the boat first wore bewildered expressions, then burst into jubilant joy: “We won!”

“We won!”

Amidst the cheers and elation, Li Zhen, however, looked down toward the ocean’s tumultuous waves, his expression growing more solemn.

Though Furious Sea Shark was defeated, the storm had not abated, and their fishing boat had already sunk, leaving this lifeboat ill-equipped to fend off the wrath of the raging sea.

But… amidst despair, there was still hope for survival.

Unconsciously, Li Zhen lifted his head, gazed at the unnamed Pet Beast clutching the lifeboat, his face unable to hide the shock.

This Pet Beast was exceedingly large, and its power unimaginably formidable, capable of stabilizing the lifeboat flying across the sea.

Li Zhen had never seen such a mighty Pet Beast.

But was this Pet Beast an ally or a foe?

Where did it intend to take the lifeboat?

Questions surfaced one after another in his mind, while Li Zhen collected the weary Wave Fist Water Ape and reassured the crew: “This Pet Beast doesn’t seem hostile toward us; everyone should rest well for now.”
