Chapter 269

"Shxt! We’ve been had!" Seeing their formation becoming disorganized, one of them quickly reacts.

"Head to that tree! Follow me!" With her command, she fires a fireball at the tree before cutting off the burning part.

The six of them stand on top of the tree, scanning the surroundings with sharp eyes.

"Here they come again!" Seeing the incoming projectiles, they quickly react.

"One and two! Focus on the projectiles! Four and five, guard one and two, six, you’re on guard duty with me!"

Sean clicks his tongue seeing that the remaining Fox Spirits becomes organized once again.

He takes one of his masterpiece and smiles.

After destroying the projectiles, a figure can be seen following behind, it’s hand stretches forward towards number two.

"Attack!" Instantly, all of them attacks, one and two can’t react quickly but with the cover fire, they managed to safely retreat and fires their own.

"Seven!" Suddenly, something flashes by and grabs one of them before disappearing.

"It was a decoy!" One of the girls shouts.

"I’m alright! He only caught my clone." Seven was relieved, that clone of hers saved her.

Only one clone left, the owner of the last clone is hiding herself through an illusion just like seven did.

They didn’t even tell each other which ones are the clones and which ones are the real deal, making their reaction look more genuine.

"That was close!"

Suddenly, dust starts to spread all over their area.

Upon seeing this, the expression of the six foxes changes.

"Smoke bombs." Two shouts and throws a bomb to the ground that creates a screen of smoke for them.

They start to retreat towards another location.

"Are you sure that this is the way?" Asks her teammates.

"Yes, I’m a member of the scouting group that mapped the entire area around this place, I’m certain that this is where the open field is."

Their plan is to force to Sean to fight them in an open field, the only way for them to be ambushed is from the ground, as long as they know this, they can create contingencies.

"There!" Seeing the open field in front of them, four immediately shouts.

Sean, who was cautiously following behind them was taken aback.

"I should have scouted the surrounding area more thoroughly."

He suddenly speeds up and throws a tree towards the group.

"Use that tree to push us forward!"

The six of them lines themselves to the direction of the path of the tree.

The one that was in the farthest back crosses her hand and summons a barrier made out of yin energy.

The remaining five prepares themselves.

"Oh no!" Seeing two more projectiles coming from both of their sides, the expression of everyone changes.

Two fireballs hits the two projectiles at the last second and the six of them were thrown back by the force from the tree.

"Interesting!" He laughs out loud as he dashes towards the six, seeing his figure approaching, all six of them fires at him.

He dodges the attacks and tries to grab one of them, only for it to explode into a white smoke.

’Hmm!? They are capable of swapping positions?’ He was surprised by this.

He dodges their attacks and continues to try and confuse them with his movement techniques.

"One clean hit! As long we’ll be able to land one, we’ll pass!"

"Hahaha! You’re right!" He laughs loudly before throwing a cloud of dust towards them.

When they blast the dust away, what’s left behind was a hole.

"Jump!" All of them jumps but that was just a diversion, he was behind them.

Grabbing one of them, he slams her to the ground and disappears with the dust.

They’ve been tricked again, this made them feel uncomfortable.

Still, one of them grabs a bomb and throws it towards the cloud of dust.

A powerful explosion wrecks everything, Sean chuckles, managing to escape on time.

"That’s the signal, at least two of them has been taken down." One of the foxes states.

"Go!"

Instantly, twenty Fox Spirits dashes towards the location of the bomb.

"Is everyone okay?"

"Yeah, we managed to survive." The eliminated one was brought away by Sean, he doesn’t want a single one of them to die in this impromptu exam he thinks Jasmine has put up.

All of them look haggard, still, their guards are up.

Multiple projectiles were thrown at them, with one, large enough to bury the five of them.

"Incoming!" They can only try to escape but more comes in their way.

As the large piece of dirt was getting closer, it suddenly explodes.

"Be ca-" She didn’t finish her words before a hand grabs her throat and throws her away.

"Rescue her!" Unfortunately for them, this was the wrong move.

They shouldn’t had ruined their formation, one by one, he picks them up.

The last one fires a ball of concentrated spiritual energy, he dodges it, the ball glows intensely but it cause no explosion at all.

"Hit him once! As long we hit him cleanly, we can pass!" Her scream spreads throughout everywhere.

It came from the ball of spiritual energy, Sean was taken aback.

"You guys, hahaha! Jasmine had raised many capable subordinates, hmm, it seems that during my free time, I should test the others’ subjects."

Knowing that it can’t last long against the barrage of attacks, he stomps the ground, creating a crack.

Grabbing them, he starts throwing them, creating artillery but he can’t match against the firepower of the girls.

He can only try to defend by using Tai Chi, redirecting the attacks towards each other.

The girls were speechless, they don’t sense any fluctuation of spiritual energy or vital force from his moves but it feels like they are facing a fortress that they can’t penetrate.

"Surround him!" This doesn’t cause them to lose hope, they had expected such things to happen, his reputation alone has already cemented his might in their hearts.

Fortunately, he was holding back, still, they don’t have any close combat expert amongst the group.

Fox Spirits aren’t really known for their strength in physique.

Gritting her teeth, she dashes towards her fallen sister and grabs her before throwing her towards Sean.

This action startles everyone, including Sean.

Sean blows it away with one move, what presented in front of him were hundreds of bombs.

Stephanie was pulled away by Jasmine, seeing the massive crater, they became silent.

They want to know if they past.

"That was close!" A voice snaps them out of their thoughts.

Sean was still standing, not that such power would kill him.

His clothes are still fine.

Before the explosion could happen, he leaps backwards, then using the force of the explosion, he propels himself further backwards.

He sighs, that feels like cheating, still, he has to give them credit for forcing him to use one of his greatest move.

All of them reacts and continues their onslaught, he can no longer retreat, he was surrounded on all side.

"Come! Hahaha!" Now that he’s using Redirection, hitting him would be much more difficult.

"Leave it to me!" Their commander then summons three clones, upon seeing this, the clone experts also summons their own clones.
