Amid the conversation between Elder Mu and the others, the entire hall fell into an eerie silence. Everyone present was a Martial Artist with astonishing hearing. Although the newcomer had lowered his voice considerably, it still reached the ears of those around, instantly making them tense up. Lin Yafei offered a slight smile and said nothing further. She turned her gaze towards Elder Mu: “Elder Mu, today is the day of Qingxue’s wedding. As her dear friend, I’m here to attend the ceremony. I hope you won’t turn me away at the door!”

“Hehe, Miss Lin, you’re too kind. Being Qingxue’s good friend, your presence today is truly Qingxue’s honor. Please, Miss Lin, have a seat.” Elder Mu smiled as he spoke to Lin Yafei.

Tang Qingyun and Mu Qingliu both squinted at Lin Yafei, but they remained silent. To them, Lin Yafei’s abilities were too weak, utterly insignificant. No matter what Lin Yafei intended, she could stir no storms in their eyes, so they didn’t need to worry about any of her actions.

“Third Young Master Han, go and wait below with Lin Demon. I’ll handle the matter today.” Lu Tianxing fixed his gaze on Han Zifeng as he spoke slowly.

“Boss, take care.”

Han Zifeng agreed with a nod without further comment.

He turned and took a few steps forward, then respectfully bowed to Elder Mu: “Elder Mu, my grandfather was held up by some matters, so he sent me here in his stead. I hope you will understand.”

“Young man of the Han Family, you’re too polite. Since you’re here, you’re a guest of our Mu Family. Please take a seat!” Elder Mu gestured grandly as he spoke.

Han Zifeng bowed slightly and then walked towards Lin Yafei.

Meanwhile, Lu Tianxing stood still until Elder Mu turned his gaze upon him. Only then did he speak: “Junior Lu Tianxing, I greet Elder Mu.”

“Third Young Master of the Lu Family.”

Elder Mu gazed at Lu Tianxing, a spark of brilliance flashing in his cloudy eyes: “I’ve long heard that the Third Young Master of the Lu Family was a prodigy amongst the youth. Seeing you today, the reputation is certainly deserved. You’re far stronger than your father.”

As Elder Mu looked at Lu Tianxing, there was a hint of wistfulness in his tone. Lu Tianxing surpassed the impression Lu Tianzhan had made back then, more terrifying, more ruthless. He had entirely surpassed those before him. This encounter made Elder Mu believe that if Lu Tianxing survived in Beijing, his future achievements would outdo Lu Tianzhan and Lu Tiankuang, dominating an era.

“Elder Mu, you flatter me.”

Lu Tianxing responded neither overbearingly nor servilely to Elder Mu’s words: “Elder Mu, I actually came to discuss a great joyful occasion with you.”

“Lu Tianxing, merely you leaving our Mu Family is joy beyond comparison. You’re not welcome here, so please leave.”

This time, before Elder Mu could respond, Mu Qingliu cut in, his tone harboring a chilling aura.
