Becoming a Saint From the Iron Armor Skill
Chapter 634: Eat My Hammer
Chapter 634 -304: Eat My Hammer
With the Lingxiao Sword, even ordinary Puncture Realm experts didn’t dare to face Ji Lingxiao head-on.
Even if the Lingxiao Sword couldn’t unleash its full power inside the cave mansion, Chen Cheng didn’t believe he was a match for her.
‘Fine. I’ll get the Array Banner from the Kan Palace Array Hub first. I need to make the most of my time cultivating there to raise my Martial Arts Power. I’ll figure out the rest later! The Fog Concealment Cave Mansion is protected by the Nine Palaces Locking Spirit Heaven and Earth Array, so I should still have a chance.’
With his mind made up, he finished gnawing on the old mountain ginseng, and his body gradually filled with Qi Blood Power.
After surveying the terrain, Chen Cheng was about to dart toward a distant mountain peak when he heard a tremendous BOOM, like a sudden clap of thunder.
The entire cave mansion trembled subtly, the shaking lasting for several breaths before it slowly grew calm again.
At that moment, a cry of alarm echoed from high in the sky not far away.
Chen Cheng jerked his head up to see an old man in a long gray robe, holding a Judge’s Pen, plummeting straight down from over a hundred zhang in the air.
This was dozens of zhang higher than where Chen Cheng had fallen from earlier.
While in mid-air, the man cried out in alarm as he unleashed all his Qi Blood Power. Primordial Gang True Force surged wildly, blasting the air below in an attempt to use the rebound force to slow his descent.
His efforts were quite effective, and his descent slowed considerably. But he was simply too high up, and the pull of the cave mansion’s earth veins was overwhelmingly strong.
Ultimately, his speed kept increasing until he was plummeting like a cannonball.
The fellow was quick-witted, though. Just a few zhang from the ground, he fiercely swung the Judge’s Pen in his hand, gathering the aura of the Killing Realm and blasting it downward!
BOOM!
The stone mountain directly below him shattered explosively, and he slammed into the ground, throwing up a huge cloud of dust!
‘So he ran into the Gate of Celestial Revelation, too!’
A glint appeared in Chen Cheng’s eyes, and he vanished in a flash.
A huge crater had been smashed into the stone mountain. The unremarkable-looking, gray-robed old man with graying hair and beard struggled to climb out from the edge of the pit.
He was truly impressive. After falling from such a height, his aura had only weakened slightly. He had suffered no fatal injuries and would likely recover in a short time.
“This damned array! When I get out of here, I’ll tear this whole cave mansion apart!”
The old man muttered resentfully, but a sudden sense of alarm gripped him, a feeling of mortal danger.
He was about to react when he felt a gentle breeze. His vision swam, and the last thing reflected in his pupils was the figure of a man in a green shirt, holding a saber.
The old man was horrified. A moment later, he realized his head had been lopped off.
“Ghk…” The old man tried to speak, but the sound was cut short as his wide eyes glazed over.
Chen Cheng’s figure flickered over the old man’s corpse. When he reappeared, he held a Judge’s Pen and a heavy package in his hands.
He glanced back at the corpse, his refined features perfectly calm, like the still surface of an ancient well.
‘Once you enter the cave mansion, you must be prepared to be killed. How can I let another man snore in my own bed? I won’t allow a Blood Moon Sect Steward, an expert in assassination, to exist in my territory.’
The old man had indeed been a Steward of the Blood Moon Sect.
His Judge’s Pen faintly radiated Spirituality; it was actually a Pseudo-Spiritual Artifact. The package contained a lot of silver coins, Medicinal Materials for replenishing Qi Blood Power, and various other Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures.
On top of all that, there was even a Low Grade Marrow Cleansing Pill!
‘I never thought my first time playing highwayman would yield such a windfall. This Low Grade Marrow Cleansing Pill is exactly what I need right now!’
He stuffed all the loot into his storage ring and, with a few leaps, was dozens of zhang away.
After flitting rapidly through the mountain forest for some time, Chen Cheng suddenly stopped on a thick tree branch and pulled a pale green Jade Token from within his robes.
A faint red dot of light was flashing on the Jade Token.
This was the Communication Jade Token unique to the True Disciples of the Great Dao Sect, and it contained a sensing array.
Since Chen Cheng had been designated as a True Disciple of Four Symbols Peak, Ke Dali had given him one.
Each Jade Token had a specific red dot marker that would flash whenever another token was within a hundred-li radius.
The flashing red dot was Xiao Yingluo’s marker.
‘Xiao Yingluo?’ Chen Cheng frowned. After a moment of deliberation, he used his True Force to block the Communication Jade Token’s aura.
Once blocked, the token could no longer sense the Communication Jade Tokens of other True Disciples from the Sect, nor could his own be detected.
Watching the red dot on the Communication Jade Token vanish, Chen Cheng glanced around before darting into a nearby thicket.
‘I promised to keep Xiao Yingluo safe, but I can’t let her get a share of the Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi at the Kan Palace Array Hub. It would hinder my own cultivation. If I’m going to hide my tracks, I might as well be thorough about it.’
He activated the Secret Technique of Daoxin Demon Planting. The illusory Demon Thought Cage materialized and transformed into pure Demonic Thought, which then condensed into a black figure—Chen Cheng’s Demon Seed.
At that exact moment, the cave mansion’s array began to tremble violently. An aura of lightning gathered in the sky high above Chen Cheng’s head.
Chen Cheng froze for a second, then cursed inwardly. ‘This is bad!’
The cave mansion’s array didn’t just suppress the Innate True Qi of Innate Realm Martial Artists; it also repelled demonic auras. Any Demon that entered would be crushed by the array’s full power.
When the Demon Thought Cage was locked around Chen Cheng’s acupoints, it had faintly emitted Demonic Qi, but since it had no consciousness of its own, the cave mansion’s array couldn’t detect anything unusual.
But once it condensed into the Demon Seed, with Chen Cheng’s consciousness residing within, the cave mansion’s array instantly identified it as a Demon.
The lightning suddenly erupted, forming several thick bolts that struck down at the Demon Seed.
With no time to turn the Demon Seed back into the Demon Thought Cage, Chen Cheng had a stroke of inspiration. He instantly condensed his ten-foot-tall Cyan Heaven Dharma Aspect, enveloping the Demon Seed within it.
BOOM!
With a violent roar, the Cyan Heaven Dharma Aspect shielded the Demonic Thought, but was itself shattered to pieces by the Thunder Arcs!
An even more immense lightning aura began to surge and gather once more.
This time, Chen Cheng reacted faster. Before the lightning could strike, he condensed his Dharma Aspect, wrapping the Demon Seed inside and completely sealing off its aura.
Only then did the lightning aura slowly dissipate. The array quieted down, and everything became calm and peaceful.
‘This array is really something else!’
Chen Cheng let out a huge sigh of relief, a hint of a smile appearing on his face.
After a moment of thought, he transformed his Cyan Heaven Dharma Thought Power into a ball of pure Telekinesis, which he used to wrap the Demon Seed and tuck it away inside his robes.
This way, although the Telekinesis could be easily detected, he himself would no longer be shrouded in black Demonic Qi.
He changed into a set of black Night Clothes and masked his face with a black cloth. Now, he was no longer enveloped in his signature, faint black Demonic Qi.
‘This works. It’s a bit of a hassle, but now I don’t have to worry about anyone recognizing me. I can cut loose and go on a killing spree!’
Chen Cheng used the Concealment Secret Skill to hide his Long Saber, then burst from the thicket, wielding the Military Dao Combat Killing Hammer, and sped toward the nearby mountain peak.
Before long, he reached the summit. He surveyed the area from his high vantage point for a moment and spotted a massive lake dozens of li away.
The lake’s water was dark and deep, and a dense, swirling mist hung over its surface.
‘The Kan Palace governs water. The Array Hub is most likely in that frigid lake.’
With that thought, Chen Cheng sped toward the lake.
When he reached the shore, he could clearly feel that the surrounding Heaven and Earth Origin Qi was far denser than where he’d been before. It was even richer out over the water than it was by the shore.
Chen Cheng leaped out over the lake’s surface. He condensed the aura of his Gui Water Realm, forming a whirlpool that carried him swiftly toward the center of the lake.
He traveled for dozens of li before approaching the heart of the lake. The Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi grew ever denser, and at its very center lay a small, eerily silent, and craggy island.
Just as Chen Cheng was about to leap onto the island, a sword-wielding figure in a green Daoist Robe darted out from behind a crag. The figure landed proudly atop a massive boulder and spoke to Chen Cheng in a cold voice.
“Get lost!”
It was none other than Zhang Daozong, an Inner Sect Disciple of the Taiyi Sect!
‘Zhang Daozong!’
Chen Cheng’s eyes narrowed. Enemies truly do cross paths.
Zhang Daozong radiated a powerful aura; he had already advanced to the Organ Refining Realm.
His gaze was icy as he said arrogantly, “Since you know who I am, why haven’t you pissed off yet?”
“Eat my hammer!”
Chen Cheng was eager for a score; he had no time to waste on idle threats.
He raised his Military Dao Combat Killing Hammer and, with his feet planted on the whirlpool, shot toward Zhang Daozong like an arrow loosed from its bowstring!
