Beneath the Red Dragon
Chapter 883 - 155: Dragon and Tiger Dual Sides_2
But these Giant Dragons, under the command of the Imperial Dragon King of the Golden Empire, descended simultaneously, forcing all the Advanced Wisdom Officials stationed at the defense points of Dorabi City Wall to face a choice between life and death.
Should they calibrate the magical heavy cannon of the alchemical weapons towards the skies above other points to help their companions shoot down those Dragons, or abandon this idea and focus solely on combating the terrifying enemy hovering overhead?
It wasn’t the absence of noble corps commanders with strict military regulations and high spirits, but when these commanders ordered targets to be calibrated for shooting, they found that they could only shoot down one Flying Dragon guarding the sky.
And those Dragons, under the Dragon King’s leadership, often formed formations of two to three to five Giant Dragons, with their figures dancing in the sky like a display of the majestic and spectacular dance unique to Dragons.
But as these Dragons leaped in the Dragon Dance, they somehow concealed and transformed all weak angles, weaving together a symphony of Dragon King Breaking Formation in the overlapping Dragon Language sounds.
In the sky filled with vibrations and buzzing sounds, Flying Dragons and Scorpion Lions were pierced and shattered by massive armor-piercing crossbow arrows and alchemical weapons and magic-guided heavy cannons.
Waves of Magic Power fluctuations and magical weapons blossomed with bright radiance and magnificent death, blasting the monster corps descending in the sky into dust.
A number of Giant Dragons were also knocked down from the sky by these mighty weapons or concentrated fire from the Mage Legion.
But accompanied by intense vibrations in the air above, the Golden Empire’s Giant Dragons’ magic torrents descended at this moment.
The noble legion warriors who retreated into the watchtower protection only felt a strong shaking at this moment, followed by the extremely intense booming explosion sound.
Even countless debris and dust on the solid city wall were all shaken off, and then there was the cracking sound of the magic energy barrier giving courage and confidence to the caster corps and commanders in fighting against the Dragons.
All these people stared with wide eyes as the shadow of the Giant Dragons swept across the sky.
The Ancestral Golden Dragon Obi made his thunderous roar for the first time, leading several Metal Dragons and Gem Dragons to shatter the connection and defense between the magic nodes and watchtower at his feet, then began to lead the Dragon Group in a high-speed triangular wedge formation dive from the sky.
The air currents sliced by Dragon wings carried sharp whistling sounds, akin to the divine light cast down by the Spiritual Light from above.
The only remaining magic elements in the sky began to gather toward the Dragons, with massive amounts of air and elements deeply absorbed into their bellies.
Not only the Ancestral Golden Dragon Obi, but all the Giant Dragons in the sky began undertaking rare deep breaths under their leader’s command, recapturing power to concoct a breath exceeding ordinary potency.
The noble elite legion warriors, originally clad in shiny steel armor and holding well-crafted weapons with cold gleams and sturdy shields, began visibly panicking.
The caster corps commanders also shouted commands of panic, "Quickly raise the magic barrier!"
These casters, having lost the protection of the point wall barrier, could no longer wreak havoc with attack spells and unleash magic torrents, and at this moment, they needed to think about their own lives.
The magic staffs and scrolls held by these caster corps emanated brilliant and intense magical spiritual light, with extremely strong energy fluctuations rising from around them in their spell chants.
Then the destructive breath of the Dragons arrived.
Each magic node and watchtower housed at least ten noble casters, some having seven or eight. Perhaps the relatively coordinated casters raising magic shields could easily counter the breath of a mature Giant Dragon.
But each point faced more than one Dragon.
And the thunder and fire from Ancestral Golden Dragon Obi burst forth with unrivaled power from this whole-hearted Golden Dragon’s mouth, instantly shattering and piercing the thick barrier of Magic Shield upon first contact with the Mage Legion’s magic shield.
Though the breath power of this Golden Dragon couldn’t compare to the Dragon Emperor of the Golden Empire, even the edges of the breath wielded temperatures reaching thousands of degrees, enough to instantly turn a flesh and blood body into ashes.
The casters’ magic staffs and magic robes blessed with added magical effectiveness stood no chance against the strength of this Ancestral Golden Dragon for even a fleeting moment.
This terrifying high temperature and penetrating thunder engulfed the entire entrance of the watchtower in the blink of an eye, the air scorched and distorted, and as the Golden Dragon’s head swung, the fan-shaped breath covered the entire twelve-meter-high watchtower.
The anger of the Ancestral Golden Dragon didn’t just burn away all the magic energy transmission paths of the entire watchtower, but even the walls constructed of solid granite were melted and turned into flowing multicolored liquid, collapsing in an instant.
Where the terrifying breath traveled, all flesh and enchanted armor inside the watchtower were melted and ignited by the high temperature, or evaporated into vapor.
And the warriors inside the watchtower couldn’t even escape from the opposite exit, because every exit had a grim and terrifying fang-filled mouth recklessly unleashing its violent power and destructive Source Desire.
The noble legion warriors on the outer defensive line segment of the watchtower were driven by their fear, thrusting their swords and long spears towards the backs of these Giant Dragons, yet no one could evade the massive tails of the Dragons’ strikes.
