Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 902 Imperial Assassin Court_3

  • Next Chapter

On the muddy road that resembled the shallow layers of a swamp, scattered bones and skulls could still be seen, just like when Gray Dragon Naka, Naluo, and a few other Giant Dragons transformed into humanoid forms, a series of skulls hung from their waists.

Died with eyes wide open, filled with terror, fear, and regret!

These were the main members of those noble families that were annihilated by the Golden Empire and the Kings, or family members who bore the nobility blood.

Among them, the skull of a middle-aged man hanging from Gray Dragon Naka’s waist belonged to a previous hidden powerhouse within the Marino Duke Lorne Clan, who was the second person in Marino Duchy secretly able to wield family legacy armor and the Divine Sword to resist ordinary Legendary Power.

However, not only did Duke Marino perish along with the duchy’s downfall, but the Sacred Artifact passed down by the duke family was also shattered with one punch by the Multi-armed Giant Mogyes.

This left a peak Holy Sanctuary powerhouse unable to escape the relentless hunting by Gray Dragon Naka and Naluo, ultimately assassinating him successfully in Ella City within the Kingdom of Koria.

The dragon’s nearly inexhaustible energy turned them into deadly assassins, a nightmare for countless races and creatures.

The Golden Empire Assassin Court led by Gray Dragons Naka and Naluo rose in prominence over the past few months, leaving many nobles in the south living in fear.

The nobles were so afraid that they vigorously recruited armed personnel skilled in countering assassinations in other civilization realms across various continents, fearing being slaughtered by assassin dragons before the army of the Kings crushed them.

Aside from this deceased Holy Sanctuary powerhouse, the dragons’ waists also hung other dispatched members from annihilated noble families who went to other noble territories seeking aid.

Among them were even some who were merely loyal family servants, attendants, and guests of the nobility destroyed by the Kings.

No matter their age or gender!

This may seem cruel, but it was the effect that the Golden Empire needed to achieve; only with dripping blood could the Golden Empire instill an inescapable fear upon the nobles.

To kill is to pierce the mind because dragons hold grudges!

The two Gray Dragons entered the camp with their followers; the vast camp felt almost indistinguishable from the multi-racial cities within the Imperial, making the dragons feel a ‘homeland’ kind of atmosphere.

The guards shrank into their thick cotton coats, checking the passes of the dragons who had transformed into humanoid forms before loudly granting passage.

The temperature in the Northern Border South wasn’t very cold, but the humid and mild climate turning into a relatively cold winter made the Frost Giants, used to dry cold winds on the Frozen Plains, feel like their bones were being scraped out by icy knives.

This is the cold of Magic, the Frost Giant said.

However, such weather didn’t bother the dragons; on the path to the gigantic royal tent in the camp’s center, Gray Dragon Naluo and Naka spotted what might be the last remaining Behemoth in the Icaria World.

“Prince Achilles, where are you hurrying to?” Gray Dragon Naluo proactively greeted the Behemoth rushing across the camp.

The new generation of chicks of the Golden Empire, both dragons and Behemoths, are addressed as Prince by outsiders and the empire’s beloved, a prestigious title enjoyed by all dragon hatchlings, not representing any power.

No one knew why the Emperor of the Imperial, Karon Gogomola, did this, guiding public opinion externally, but no one doubted the dragon’s wisdom, as it had already been tested.

“Ah, Lord Naluo and Naka,” the gold-haired Behemoth politely replied, now somehow resembling those obedient students among humans after its beastly nature was sealed.

“Those dragon kids started fighting; I need to check on these unruly creatures!”

Several dragons laughed simultaneously, their cold dragon faces instantly softening. After bidding the Behemoth farewell with smiles, they turned and headed towards the Emperor of the Imperial’s tent.
