Chapter 386: Chapter 386: Staking His Claim.

And for all his intentions, tomorrow doesn’t turn out to be so much tomorrow as a few days later because for as much as his body had ached something terrible after the fact, the morning after was so much worse, and Drogger had still insisted on running him to the point of collapse.

So by the time he’s got enough energy left over after training for anything else, both he and Loac are so pent up that it’s a wonder they even make it back to the bedroom at all before they’re on each other.

It’s a close call though; Loac gets his teeth on his neck and his fingers stretching him open with practiced ease the moment the door closes behind them.

They don’t even make it all the way out of their clothes before Loac’s fucking him up against the door so hard it quakes in its hinges.

Without the guards posted on the other side of the door, for the first time since that first night Khobi doesn’t bother with trying to keep his voice down.

His voice is hoarse by the time he comes, but it’s worth it to learn that Loac’s been keeping his voice down this whole time.

It so happens that Khobi likes hearing him, too.

And while sex is always intense with Loac, it’s particularly so when it’s been a few days; when the anticipation has them both wound tight and that demanding little itch of Khobi’s starts to set in.

And as good as it feels when he finally gets his fix –when he’s finally got Loac pressed up against him and his cock buried impossible deep inside him; fucking him just the way he likes it and as many times as he wants it, he certainly feels it the next day.

From the knowing looks he catches some of the soldiers exchanging and the way they raise their eyebrows as he passes them by, he’s not nearly as good at hiding it as he thought.

(He really should have remembered how quickly they figured Rogard out.)

They don’t say anything, but they don’t need to. They know and Khobi knows they know and worst of all, Loac knows that they know.

And the asshole has the audacity to look pleased about it. Khobi makes sure to really kick his ass for that but no amount of knocking him into the dirt is enough to fully wipe the smug smirk off his face, and he winds up with the distinct feeling that he’s going make sure it’s even more obvious tomorrow.

He’s right, and Drogger nearly kicks him out of the training ground because of it; thinking that Khobi’s gone and injured himself and is trying to cover it up.

Which, given his track record for attempting just that, would be a fair enough assumption except that this time he really isn’t injured, and his knee is fine.

"You really expect me to believe that?" Drogger’s expression doesn’t change, but his tone gives off a definitely air of disbelief.

And long-suffering at that.

"...Yes?" Khobi offers, hoping that he sounds sincere enough to be convincing.

And when that fails miserably, he desperately starts scanning for a lifeline so Drogger doesn’t have him forcibly removed.

Ideally one that doesn’t involve telling his Captain to his face that the reason he’s stiff today is because he spent half the night getting ploughed to within an inch of his life.

It’s not fair; he’s only limping a little .

Rogard owes him one, surely?

"Oh, are you not done yet?" Rogard teases playfully, when Khobi waves him over with utmost urgency.

"Morning, master~"

"Morning, Rogard." This time it’s Drogger’s tone that stays even but his face that gives him away.

And Khobi’s happy for them and all, but there are more important matters at hand.

"Tell him my knee’s fine," Khobi grinds out emphatically, tone dipping meaningfully as he supplies Rogard some context, "He thinks I’m... injured ."

The word looms large in the silence that follows, and it’s excruciating watching understanding unfold across Rogard’s face.

" Oh ." It’s not quite a laugh, but it sounds a lot like it almost was, and from the way Rogard has to take a moment to center itself, it still might be. "...His knee’s fine, master."

" See ?" Khobi heaves, like Rogard isn’t in the least bit biased and his tacit compliance isn’t equally suspicious.

" –Explain this, then," Drogger states with a sweeping gesture down Khobi’s lower half, where his discomfort has been most evident.

Another muffled, strangled sound escapes from Rogard when Khobi –somewhat inadvisably –declines with a grave, "...I’d rather not."

This is clearly not an answer Drogger has ever received to this question before.

Trying to figure out what exactly it is that he’s missing, and annoyed that he even has to figure it out for himself, he swings his gaze from Khobi to Rogard, and then back again.

Struggling to keep his expression neutral, Rogard stuffs a hand over his mouth.

" Master ," he whispers meaningfully, through the cracks in his fingers, " Please don’t make him say it ."

"Say wha –" Drogger starts to demand, and there must be something in Rogard’s face that suddenly makes everything make sense because he abruptly cuts himself short.

" Oh ."

Funny how much you can say with one little not-quite-a-word.

The silence shifts from confrontational to uncomfortable in two seconds flat.

"Right," he says flatly, and Khobi drags a hand down his face, cringing as Drogger clears his throat. "...Don’t let it interfere with your training."

"He won’t," Rogard assures him quickly, and then winks conspiratorially.

"I don’t." That leaves Drogger looking embarrassed, which makes two of them. Really, it should be all three , but Rogard can be surprisingly shameless.

"Captain?" Khobi says evenly. He knows he’s got laps to run, and he’ll get to them, but he’s suddenly got something more important to attend to first, "Can I punch Rogard? Please."

"...You know what?" Drogger remarks stonily, looking Rogard dead in the face. "Go right ahead."

...

Khobi’s missed this.

All of it.
