Above Candle Island.

Luo Ge had rapidly lifted the original Candle Island high into the sky, while Noxia and Xiaoluo watched everything unfold before them in shock.

‘Candle Island… it seems to be expanding?’

“Flying high, flying high!”

Xiaoluo’s eyes sparkled. She was delighted by the change and swam around happily in the air.

“Stay still.”

After speaking to Noxia, Luo Ge shot upward, ascending rapidly until the entirety of Candle Island and its surrounding waters came into his view.

After a moment of contemplation, Luo Ge made his decision.

The expansion of Candle Island stopped.

The Power of the Spirit Candle began to flow, and countless tons of sand, soil, and hard ore rose from the seabed, swirling in the air.

Then, with immense precision, the materials began to reassemble, taking shape and arranging themselves to form one magnificent, intricate building after another, with no waste whatsoever.

Finally, everything gradually settled into calm.

On the highest Floating Candle Island, an exquisite and towering hall was particularly conspicuous, its interior filled with numerous spacious rooms.

At its center was the original Spirit Candleholder.

Below the hall, the Spirit Candle Buildings of Candle Island were all divided into distinct zones.

However, the Spirit Fire Port was not among them, having been placed on the island directly beneath Candle Island.

Surrounding the Spirit Candle Buildings were perfectly uniform streets lined with quaint stone houses, arranged with a precision that was immensely satisfying.

Furthermore, surrounding the Floating Candle Island were several sealed stone structures floating silently in the air, encircling it like a cluster of stars.

After finishing all this, Luo Ge stroked his chin and surveyed his work, a slight frown on his face.

‘It seems… something is still missing?’

A moment later, he raised his hand and waved. The bright sky vanished, replaced by an oppressive gloom.

Then, Luo Ge willed it so.

All over the Floating Candle Island, countless candles made from the Power of the Spirit Candle materialized.

Amid the surrounding darkness, the soft glow of the Spirit Candles on Candle Island became remarkably conspicuous, providing a sense of comfort and peace.

Seeing this, Luo Ge nodded slightly.

‘Yes, this is it. A dark and gloomy atmosphere fits the setting of the game, *Spirit Candle*, and it will also temper the Will of the new arrivals.’

At this thought, Luo Ge glanced at the surrounding floating structures.

Those were the “Beginner’s Tutorial” he had tailor-made for the new players. Once they cleared it, they would be familiar with the game’s basic mechanics.

That way, the new players wouldn’t be completely clueless when they first started.

And…

A slight smile touched Luo Ge’s lips as he thought about the challenges he had designed.

‘This should weed out the players who aren’t cut out for this game.’

After finishing all this, Luo Ge stood at the entrance to the great hall. After a moment’s thought, he added a location display that would only appear when a Candle Spirit approached.

Candlefire Hall.

He then brought Noxia and Xiaoluo back over.

Holding Xiaoluo, Noxia stared at her surroundings in disbelief.

“Lord Luo Ge, this is truly incredible…”

“Bloop! Bloop!” Xiaoluo flew excitedly to Luo Ge’s shoulder and said happily, “Flying high! Let’s do it again! Pleeeease!”

The little creature had clearly gotten addicted to that elevator-like ascent.

Luo Ge couldn’t help but chuckle as he patted her small head. “After I’m done with my work.”

“Okay! Xiaoluo will wait for you!” Hearing Luo Ge’s words, she grew even happier and swam joyfully through the air.

“There are rooms inside. Go pick one out. I still have some things to do,” said Luo Ge.

“Thank you, Lord Luo Ge.” Noxia snapped back to her senses and quickly bowed to him.

“Don’t be so formal.”

Luo Ge nodded, then turned and vanished.

‘Lord Luo Ge’s Power is getting stronger and stronger…’

Noxia gazed at the spot where Luo Ge had vanished, her lips pursed. A faint smile appeared on her face. She let out a soft breath and headed into the hall.

…

“Burton Mage.”

“Luo Ge.”

The two exchanged greetings at the Jinghai Islands.

Luo Ge glanced at the remains of the dear friend beside him and said, “Would you like me to help you bury him?”

Burton Mage was taken aback, his heart filled with a complex mix of emotions.

He knew without needing to ask that Luo Ge was referring to a final burial, one that wouldn’t require him to repeat this process over and over as he was now.

He was stunned by Luo Ge’s Power, and this only added to the turmoil of his emotions.

“…Then you have my thanks.”

Burton Mage nodded.

With the man’s consent, Luo Ge stepped forward, and the Power of the Spirit Candle began to reshape the now-anchored Jinghai Islands.

Reshaping these outer Anchor Islands required more Power of the Spirit Candle than Candle Island had, which was why Luo Ge hadn’t transformed them all at once.

In a short time, the body of Burton’s dear friend was buried, and Luo Ge even carved a headstone for him.

“I’ve arranged a room for you up there,” Luo Ge reminded him. “As for the matter of the Curse Masters, I’ll be counting on you.”

Burton drew his gaze away from the headstone. Composing himself, he replied, “Alright. I’ll head up in a bit.”

“For now, please… allow me to stay here for a little while.”

Seeing this, Luo Ge quietly took his leave.

Burton remained, gazing silently at the headstone, not saying a word for a long, long time.

…

“My Lord.”

Qing Jian lowered his head and spoke respectfully.

Luo Ge nodded. As he used the Power of the Spirit Candle to construct houses from sand, he said, “From now on, every one of you will have a job to do.”
