Chapter 101: The Black Dragon Guild’s Office in Dong-San City

Kang Ian was escorted straight out of the shop by Kim Sora.

"Kei doesn’t want to see you anymore. Go home for today!"

Sora stood blocking the door, wearing a very bright smile, but the hand resting on the door handle showed no intention of letting go.

Kang Ian turned his head to look inside.

Kei’s private room door was still tightly closed. Ever since the kiss in the storage room ended, Kei had hidden himself in there, refusing to come out even once.

"Kei."

Kang Ian called out once but received no reply. He waited a few more seconds and called again:

"Kei, I have to go now."

Inside, there was still silence.

Kim Sora coughed softly.

"He definitely heard you, he just doesn’t want to answer. Come back tomorrow, for now just let Kei have some time alone."

Kang Ian narrowed his eyes at the tightly closed window on the second floor of Kei’s room. His face, which was usually always drowsy, briefly showed a look of irritation.

"How long does he plan to hide in there? Like a child!"

"Probably until he gets over his embarrassment."

Sora answered very naturally.

Kang Ian fell silent.

Actually, he didn’t know what to say to Kei either. That kiss happened too suddenly, even though he didn’t understand why he had lost control like that.

But if he could do it all over again... Kang Ian slowly moved his gaze away from the door.

Perhaps he would still kiss Kei one more time.

"Go home." Sora gently patted his shoulder. "When Kei calms down, I’ll let you know, Guild Master Kang."

Kang Ian looked at her with a doubtful expression.

"Will you really tell me?"

"Of course."

Sora smiled, then immediately slammed the door shut right in front of him.

Kang Ian stood outside the door for a while longer.

Hearing no sound from inside, he had no choice but to turn and leave.

On the way back to the Crying Ghost Guild’s new headquarters, Kang Ian’s expression grew increasingly grim. He had originally intended to see Kei to ask about things, but in the end not only did he fail to get an answer, he was also kicked out like a troublemaker.

What bothered him even more was that Kei had avoided him.

Kang Ian frowned, his footsteps heavier than usual.

The Crying Ghost Guild’s new headquarters had been rebuilt after the previous chaos, quickly and conveniently thanks to the power of the hunters. Most of the construction was complete, with a few groups of workers still adjusting the final walls outside.

As soon as he stepped up to the gate, Kang Ian saw Do Ae Young standing and talking with Moon So Yeon.

He stopped.

Then, Kang Ian walked straight over, his cold gaze landing on Do Ae Young.

"What are you doing here?"

Do Ae Young, who had been chatting happily, immediately stiffened. She turned her head to look at Kang Ian, then awkwardly raised a hand to scratch her nose.

"I came today to bring money and materials to compensate for the Crying Ghost Guild’s damages."

She pointed to several metal boxes placed nearby.

"What happened last time was Kai’s fault. He lost control and your headquarters was destroyed because of him. I sincerely apologize on Kai’s behalf."

Do Ae Young bowed deeply.

Kang Ian glanced at the boxes indifferently.

"Is there anything else?"

"Ah..."

Do Ae Young looked up, her expression turning slightly awkward.

"There’s one other thing. Kai will probably be coming to Dong-San City frequently in the coming days, so I’d like to ask the Crying Ghost Guild for permission for the Black Dragon Guild to open a small office here."

Kang Ian immediately answered without even thinking:

"No!"

Do Ae Young was taken aback. Moon So Yeon also stiffened, slowly turning to look at Kang Ian with a bewildered expression.

"Wait, Guild Master..."

"I said no, so no."

Kang Ian crossed his arms in front of his chest, his expression indifferent but his tone extremely firm.

Do Ae Young swallowed a breath.

"According to the Association’s rules, SS-rank Guilds have the right to set up offices in any city. Besides, we only need a small place, we absolutely won’t cause any trouble for you."

"No."

"This isn’t about whether it causes trouble or not. Our Black Dragon Guild will bear all the costs ourselves, and we won’t use any of your manpower either."

"No."

Do Ae Young began to lose patience."So why exactly can’t it be done?"

"Because I said it can’t be done."

Kang Ian answered extremely unreasonably.

Moon So Yeon stood beside him staring intently. She was used to Kang Ian’s gloomy face and erratic temper, but today his demeanor was clearly even more unpleasant than usual.

"You’re being unreasonable." Do Ae Young frowned. "We already got permission following the proper procedures. You just need to sign to confirm it."

"Not signing."

"You..."

"There’s no room for negotiation, go back."

Kang Ian turned his face away, completely ignoring all her attempts at persuasion.

Moon So Yeon finally couldn’t hold back any longer. She walked up, grabbed Kang Ian’s collar and dragged him into the headquarters.

"Hey! What are you doing?"

Ignoring Kang Ian’s weak resistance, Moon So Yeon threw him inside without hesitation.

"Get inside!"

"Let go..."

Moon So Yeon dragged Kang Ian along despite him still keeping his unpleasant expression. Before disappearing behind the door, she turned back and said to Do Ae Young:

"Don’t mind him. Guild Crying Ghost agrees to this."

Do Ae Young blinked.

"Really?"

"Of course. Having the Black Dragon Guild office here is also convenient for supporting the city. I believe Miss Do Ae Young will handle it well."

Moon So Yeon smiled and asked:

"Have you found the land to build the office yet?"

Do Ae Young immediately broke into a radiant smile.

"Found it long ago!"

"That’s good then. When you need to do the paperwork, just come find me."

"Thank you so much!"

Do Ae Young bowed in gratitude, then happily left the Crying Ghost Guild headquarters.

Moon So Yeon stood at the door waving to see her off. Only after Do Ae Young’s figure disappeared at the end of the road did she turn back inside.

She wanted to find Kang Ian to ask what was wrong with him today. Just because Do Ae Young wanted to open a small office, he reacted as if she was planning to take over the entire Crying Ghost Guild headquarters.

However, Moon So Yeon searched the entire lower floor and still couldn’t find him.

"So troublesome..."

She muttered, then pushed open the door to the lounge.

Kang Ian was lying on the sofa.

His hands were placed on his chest, his eyes tightly closed, his expression calm as if he had never been angry with anyone. If he weren’t still fully dressed in his outer clothes, Moon So Yeon might have thought he had been lying there since last night.

She walked over, bent down and gently shook his shoulder.

"Kang Ian?"

No response.

Moon So Yeon shook harder.

"Guild Master?"

Kang Ian furrowed his brow slightly, but still didn’t wake up.

Moon So Yeon looked at him for a few seconds, then blurted out:

"Again... asleep again!!?"

She looked at Kang Ian’s sleeping face, and in the end could only helplessly hold her head and mutter:

"What on earth is going on with you Kang Ian, you’re really being very strange!"
