Chapter 53: Two... magnificent creations!

At that moment, Do Ae Young truly thought her entire team was about to die. They had wandered into the worst possible room.

In Dungeons, stone coffins were never a good sign. According to old records, they were often the sealing place for undead Bosses with destructive power. Teams that had been curious enough to open the coffins never came back.

"No one is to approach it on their own." Do Ae Young said sternly. "And absolutely do not open the lid. If you do, we will get everyone killed."

The members immediately nodded. No one dared to oppose their guild leader’s words. They had just gone through a sudden Dungeon promotion from rank B to rank S, and the casualties had already been too great. Just by looking at the runes glowing red on the stone floor, they could understand how dangerous that coffin was.

However, at that very moment, a member standing behind Do Ae Young suddenly widened his eyes.

He tremblingly raised his hand, pointing behind her, stuttering as he spoke, his eyeballs nearly popping out of their sockets.

"Noona... Noona! Look... look!"

"What is it?"

Do Ae Young asked in confusion.

"The coffin... the coffin..."

Do Ae Young’s entire body stiffened.

A cold chill crept up her spine. She didn’t want to turn around. Only one thought ran through her mind: run.

But if she ran, the people behind her would surely die first. So Do Ae Young had no choice but to slowly turn and look toward the stone platform where the coffin rested.

The coffin lid had already opened at some point.

A wisp of black smoke slithered out from the gap, dripping onto the stone floor like living liquid. The runes that had been glowing around them all went dark at once. The entire Dungeon fell silent, and even the sound of everyone’s breathing became terrifyingly clear.

Then, a pale white hand rested on the edge of the coffin.

A naked body slowly sat up.

No one on the team could move. Some wanted to draw their weapons, but their stiff fingers couldn’t grip the sword hilt. Some wanted to run, but their legs had gone limp as if all strength had been drained.

The creature stood up.

In the dim light of the Dungeon, what the entire team saw before them was a body so beautiful, so majestic as to be absurd.

The man had black hair, pale skin, and a face so perfect it seemed carved by a god. His tall, well-proportioned body radiated overwhelming power in every line. Yet that human-like appearance only made the abnormality all the more evident.

His pupils were golden, slit vertically like the eyes of a predator.

The vice guild leader standing behind Do Ae Young looked down, his entire body trembling.

"Two... two..."

Do Ae Young gritted her teeth.

"What are you mumbling about?"

"Why are there two of them!?"

His shout echoed throughout the room, and it was exactly what everyone else was thinking at that moment!

Another member looked more closely, then swallowed hard.

"Impressive, really..." he whispered to Do Ae Young. "Not only are there two, but each one is twice the size of mine!"

"Shut up!" Do Ae Young snapped in a low voice, her face flushing red with a mix of anger and panic. "This is not the time for you to be concerned about that!"

Indeed, she was in no mood to admire that extraordinary creation.

From the moment the man stepped out of the coffin, the hairs all over Do Ae Young’s body had stood on end.

Her rank S danger-sensing skill was screaming.

Not an ordinary warning.

It was like a survival instinct pounding against her skull, forcing her to kneel, to bow her head, to run as far away as possible before that creature laid eyes on her.

The man stood in the middle of the room, making no attempt to hide his body, showing no sign of shame either. He lowered his head to look at his own hands, slowly moving his fingers like someone who had just woken from a long sleep.

Every small movement caused the energy permeating the Dungeon to tremble.

A crack spread beneath his feet.

Crack.

The sound was very faint, but everyone heard it.

Do Ae Young felt as if her heart had just been squeezed.

That human-shaped being didn’t need to attack.The mere existence of him made the whole room unbearable.

He slowly lifted his head.

His golden eyes swept across each member of the team.

When that gaze stopped, one member immediately collapsed. The other bit their lip so hard it drew blood, struggling not to let out a fearful whimper.

Do Ae Young stood blocking in front of her teammates, lightning beginning to run along her arm.

She knew she couldn’t defeat the opponent.

Her rank S danger-sensing skill had told her all too clearly that the one before her... was extremely, extremely dangerous.

But she still clenched her fists, ready to fight.

If she had to die, she would be the first to stand in front of him.

The man in the coffin tilted his head, seemingly not understanding why the tiny creatures before him were trembling so much.

Then he opened his mouth, a hoarse, rusted voice as if he hadn’t spoken a word in a long time echoing through the stone room:

"Where is this? Who are you?"

No one answered, and no one dared to respond to the words of a strange being who had stepped out of a coffin in a Dungeon.

Do Ae Young looked at those golden eyes, the unease in her heart growing stronger and stronger. She was afraid, truly, utterly afraid.

It wasn’t that Do Ae Young had never encountered a humanoid Boss, but most of them, when they opened their mouths, spoke hollow programmed lines of hatred and only demanded to slaughter humans.

An undead Boss couldn’t speak like a human and have such an outstanding appearance. A destructive monster couldn’t have such a dazed and bewildered expression.

But no matter what he was, Do Ae Young’s instincts never changed their warning to her. The opponent was strong enough to kill all of them before anyone could even react.

No one in this small Guild knew that, from the moment the coffin opened, their fate had completely changed.
