Chapter 111: His Possessive Little pet
Chapter 111: Chapter 111: His Possessive Little pet
~Third- POV~
Reynold stared at the glowing screen, his eyes widening in confusion and unease. His thumb hovered over the message as his mind raced.
What could Eva possibly want to tell him in secret? Was this another malicious trap, or did she actually know something he didn’t?
He shook his head, wondering what Eva could possibly know. After everything she had done and her failed attempt to ruin things between him and Frederick, had she decided to try a different approach?
He stared at the message for a few more seconds, his chest tightening as memories of Eva’s past cruelty flashed through his mind. Then he glanced through the balcony’s curtains and saw Frederick standing outside, his tall silhouette unmistakable as he calmly finished his phone call.
Reynold remembered Frederick’s firm words from earlier: I told you to trust me, didn’t I?
He wasn’t going to hide anything from the man who had given him the world.
Without hesitation, Reynold gripped his phone and slid open the glass door leading to the balcony.
Frederick turned at the sound, his eyes softening as soon as they landed on Reynold. "All right. Call me again once you have the information," he said into the phone before ending the call and slipping it into his pocket.
"Finished getting ready, sweetheart?"
Reynold didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he walked straight over to Frederick and held out his phone, making sure the message was clearly visible on the screen.
"Eva just sent me a message," Reynold said softly, looking up into Frederick’s eyes with unwavering trust. "She told me to keep it a secret from you and meet her alone... but I don’t keep secrets from my baby."
Frederick’s jaw tightened as he took the phone from Reynold’s hand and lowered his gaze to the screen, his dark eyes scanning the message from Eva.
"As he read, Frederick’s expression hardened, his jaw tightening as his eyes moved over Eva’s message. The warmth in his gaze disappeared, replaced by the cold, intimidating look that often made even high-ranking executives think twice before crossing him. Yet when he looked at Reynold, his expression softened."
He wrapped an arm around Reynold’s waist, pulled him firmly against his chest, and cupped his cheek with his free hand.
"You did the right thing, sweetheart" Frederick murmured. He leaned down and pressed a long, lingering kiss to Reynold’s lips. "Good boy. Never let anyone manipulate you into keeping secrets from me."
Reynold leaned into his touch, wrapping his arms around Frederick’s broad waist. "I won’t, Daddy."
Frederick looked down at Reynold, studying his face. "But if you really want to meet her, you can. If you’re curious about what she has to say, I’ll have my guards accompany you, and the meeting will be entirely on your terms."
Reynold shook his head without a second thought, snuggling closer. "What’s the point? I don’t want to meet with her. She’s just trying to cause trouble."
Frederick smiled. "Alright. If that’s what you want, then we will keep it that way. Now, let’s go downstairs and have dinner. We have a long night ahead of us, and I intend to keep my promise to you."
Reynold’s cheeks turned a deep, burning pink. His heart fluttered with excitement as Frederick took his hand and led him out of the bedroom, walking side by side down the grand upper hallway toward the staircase.
As they strolled down the quiet corridor, Reynold tilted his head, a curious thought crossing his mind.
"Daddy... why don’t you have a personal assistant living at the estate or following you everywhere?"
"I do have assistants," Frederick replied casually. "I just let them come around when I need them or when something urgent comes up."
Reynold blinked, looking up at him. "Why?"
A dark, amused smirk tugged at Frederick’s lips. "Because they always try to get into my bed. All of them want a taste of my cock."
Reynold’s footsteps instantly hit a dead stop in the middle of the hallway.
Never! Reynold screamed internally, his possessive instincts flaring up like wildfire. This dick is mine alone! There is no way on earth I am sharing Frederick with anyone!
He whirled around to face Frederick, his eyes wide with jealousy and his lower lip pushed into a pout.
"You don’t have to let them get close to you!" Reynold declared. "And you seriously don’t need them anywhere near you! That’s completely unprofessional. Why would anyone want to sleep with their boss? That’s totally unacceptable! Let them keep working from afar, okay?!"
Frederick stared at Reynold’s flushed face and struggled to contain his amusement. Seeing his sweet boy so fiercely jealous was simply too much for him.
He burst into laughter, his broad shoulders shaking.
Reynold huffed and stamped his foot. His face grew even redder. "It’s not funny, Frederick! I’m serious!"
"Alright, alright, sweetheart," Frederick chuckled, leaning down to kiss his pouting lips. "I hear you. No one gets close to me but you."
Satisfied, though still giving Frederick a suspicious look, Reynold let him guide him down the marble staircase.
They entered the grand dining room, where the long table was already set beneath the chandelier. Frederick pulled out a chair for Reynold, helping him settle into his seat before taking the one beside him.
The maids stepped forward to serve their dinner. Once the dishes had been placed on the table, they bowed and quietly withdrew.
Reynold picked up his fork, occasionally shooting Frederick a pointed glare over his glass of juice, as if reminding him that he belonged to Reynold alone.
Frederick noticed every glance but said nothing, merely smiling to himself as they enjoyed their meal. Reynold gradually relaxed, his attention returning to the delicious food in front of him, though he still kept an eye on Frederick from time to time.
By the time they finished eating, the earlier teasing had left Reynold’s cheeks warm. The maids stepped forward to clear the table, quietly removing the empty plates and glasses before leaving the two men alone.
Frederick leaned back in his leather chair, crossing his arms over his broad chest as he looked at Reynold with a playful smirk.
"I didn’t know my little angel could get so fierce," he teased. "Demanding where my assistants work, making sure no one else gets close to me..."
Reynold’s face flushed pink, and he set his glass down a little louder than intended. "I’m not being fierce! I’m just setting rules. It’s completely unprofessional for anyone to think they can get close to you like that."
"Mhmm," Frederick hummed, clearly pleased. "And here I thought you just wanted my cock all to yourself."
Reynold gasped, his blush spreading down his neck. "Frederick! Stop teasing me. It’s not even funny!"
Frederick let out a low laugh, thoroughly entertained by Reynold’s flustered reaction. He was about to tease him again when the doorbell rang, interrupting them.
One of the maids hurried to the main entrance and opened the door, finding Damian and Elias standing outside. She greeted them politely and led them to the main living room.
"Please make yourselves comfortable. I’ll inform Mr. Corvin that you’ve arrived," she said.
"All right," Damian replied.
The maid then returned to the dining room, where Frederick and Reynold were still seated.
"Excuse me for the interruption, sir. Mr. Damian and Mr. Elias are here. They’re waiting for you in the main living room."
"All right. Thank you," Frederick replied.
He turned to Reynold, his expression softening. "Do you want to come with me, sweetheart?"
Reynold shook his head with a gentle smile. "No, Daddy. I’ll go upstairs and wait for you in the bedroom."
"Alright," Frederick agreed.
They both stood up from the dining table. Frederick walked over to Reynold and pulled him into a warm, heavy embrace. He wrapped his arms securely around Reynold’s waist, leaning down to press a deep, lingering kiss against his soft lips.
When they pulled back, Frederick smoothed a stray lock of hair away from Reynold’s forehead. "I won’t be long. Go rest up."
"Okay," Reynold murmured happily.
He gave Frederick a cute little wave before turning around and walking gracefully toward the grand staircase. Frederick watched him until he reached the upper landing before turning on his heel and making his way toward the main living room to meet his friends.
Frederick walked into the lavish living room just as the maids finished serving Damian and Elias their drinks before leaving the room.
The moment his two closest friends spotted him, they stood to greet him, exchanging brief, respectful nods and firm handshakes before settling back onto the leather couches. The maid returned with an extra crystal glass, poured Frederick a measure of aged whiskey, then bowed and quietly exited the room, leaving the three men in private.
The moment the double doors clicked shut behind her, the atmosphere in the room shifted.
Frederick swirled the whiskey in his glass and took a slow sip, his eyes moving between his two longtime friends. "Seeing both of you at this hour in my house... is everything okay?"
Elias leaned back against the couch, his expression grim. "Good thing you realize we aren’t here just for a friendly drink."
