Chapter 120: Chapter 120: The Beginning of Something Beautiful

~Third- POV~

Reynold couldn’t help feeling special knowing he had that side of Frederick all to himself.

"Shall we, sweetheart?" Frederick murmured.

"Yes, Daddy," Reynold replied with a sweet smile.

Frederick gently took his hand and led him up the illuminated airstairs to the open cabin door, where the flight crew stood in pristine uniforms, ready to welcome them aboard.

"Welcome aboard, Mr. Corvin. Welcome, Mr. Blake," the chief flight attendant greeted them with a warm, respectful bow.

"Thank you," Frederick replied smoothly.

They stepped deeper into the jet’s magnificent main cabin. Soft, warm lighting illuminated the plush cream leather seats, rich mahogany paneling, and polished gold accents. The luxurious interior offered comfort and privacy, perfect for their journey to Paris.

Frederick and Reynold made their way to the spacious lounge area and settled into wide, plush leather chairs facing each other across a polished table.

Just as they settled into their seats, a flight attendant approached, carrying a gorgeous bouquet of long-stemmed red roses wrapped in elegant black silk paper, with a small white card tucked among the flowers.

The moment Reynold noticed her approaching his chair, his eyes widened in surprise. He instinctively glanced at Frederick, but Frederick turned his attention toward the window, a faint, knowing smile playing on his lips as he pretended to be preoccupied.

The flight attendant stopped beside Reynold and presented him with the bouquet.

"From your partner, sir. I hope you enjoy your flight," she said warmly before stepping away.

Reynold’s face flushed as a wide smile spread across his lips. He looked down at the card, his fingers trembling slightly with excitement as he carefully took it out and read the handwritten message.

My little angel, every day with you gives

another reason to smile. I can’t wait

for all the beautiful moments

waiting for us.

This is only the beginning. ??

— Daddy

It was a simple, heartfelt note, but it struck a deep, emotional chord in Reynold’s chest. He had never received a bouquet from anyone in his entire life. Holding the beautiful roses in his lap, he reread the card three times, giggling softly to himself as pure happiness radiated from his very soul. He couldn’t stop staring at the card, clutching it close to his chest like a priceless treasure.

Across from him, Frederick sat back comfortably in his leather chair, one leg crossed over the other as he watched Reynold. Seeing how delighted the younger man was made warmth spread through his chest. A fond smile settled on his lips as he admired Reynold’s happiness, quietly pleased that such a simple gesture had meant so much to him.

After reading the card for the fourth time, Reynold finally lifted his head. His eyes sparkled with emotion as he looked from the bouquet to the card, then met Frederick’s gaze.

"Thank you, Daddy..." Reynold whispered, his voice thick with emotion.

Frederick’s expression softened even further. "You deserve it, sweetheart. It’s just a small gesture to put a smile on your face. I haven’t even done anything that special yet."

"No, Daddy," Reynold protested gently, shaking his head as he held the roses close. "This is special. Maybe it’s not a big deal to you, but it means so much to me. No one has ever given me a bouquet before. I’m so glad my very first one came from you. I love it so much."

Frederick smiled warmly. "I’m glad you love it, baby. Get used to it, because you’ll be receiving plenty more from now on."

Just then, the flight crew secured the cabin door, and the captain’s voice came over the intercom, confirming that they were ready for departure.

Frederick and Reynold fastened their seat belts as the engines powered up with a low rumble. The jet began taxiing toward the runway, and the airfield lights slipped past the windows.

As the aircraft turned onto the runway, Frederick reached across the table and held out his hand. Reynold placed his smaller hand in Frederick’s palm, intertwining their fingers as they waited for takeoff.

A moment later, the engines roared louder, and the jet accelerated down the runway. Reynold leaned back in his seat, holding the bouquet securely against his chest with one arm while keeping Frederick’s hand clasped in his other. Soon, the wheels lifted off the ground, and the aircraft climbed into the night sky, beginning its journey to Paris.

Reynold gazed out of the window as the city gradually disappeared beneath them. Beside the window, the cabin lights cast a warm glow over the roses in his lap, and he couldn’t help smiling as he glanced at the card once more.

A few minutes later, once the jet had reached a stable cruising altitude, the seatbelt sign switched off. The flight settled into a smooth, steady glide through the night sky.

Frederick unfastened his seat belt and leaned back comfortably in his chair. Remembering that Reynold had mentioned being hungry earlier, he picked up the cabin phone beside his seat and contacted the crew.

"Please ask the chef to join us in the lounge," he said before setting the phone down.

A short while later, the chef arrived in a crisp uniform, carrying a menu. He greeted Frederick and Reynold with a respectful bow before asking, "Good evening, Mr. Corvin. Good evening, Mr. Blake. What would you like me to prepare for you tonight?"

Frederick turned to Reynold, gently stroking the back of his hand with his thumb.

"Alright, sweetheart. You said you were hungry earlier. Tell the chef what you want, and he’ll prepare it for you right away."

Reynold’s face brightened as he turned to the chef and eagerly began listing the dishes he wanted. Frederick watched him with a warm smile, pleased to see how happy and comfortable Reynold was around him.

While the private jet soared smoothly through the night sky toward Paris, a very different scene was unfolding at the grand Corvin estate.

Humiliated by what had happened at Corvin Enterprises, Eva rushed straight to the estate, desperate to find someone who would take her side. She believed Frederick’s grandparents were her best chance. Given their traditional values and their love for their great-granddaughter, Lily, Eva was convinced they would sympathize with her. After all, she was the woman who had carried and given birth to their precious great-granddaughter.

She hurried through the estate’s grand wooden doors and into the main drawing room, her hair disheveled and her injured hand still lightly bandaged.

"Grandfather! Grandmother!" Eva cried, her voice trembling as she rushed toward the two elders seated by the fireplace. "Please, you have to help me! Frederick had his security throw me out of the company today! He’s been blinded by that little nobody, that boy! He’s throwing our family away for trash!"

Neither elder reacted as she had expected. Frederick’s grandfather slowly set down his teacup, his weathered face marked by deep disappointment. Beside him, Frederick’s grandmother regarded Eva with a cold, weary expression rather than the sympathy she had hoped to receive.

"Sit down, Eva," his grandmother said firmly.

"Grandmother, didn’t you hear what I just said?" Eva sobbed, remaining on her feet. "He humiliated me in front of the press! I’m the mother of his child! How could he do this to me?"

"You brought every bit of this upon yourself, Eva," Frederick’s grandfather replied bluntly, his stern voice cutting through her theatrics.

Eva froze, her tears halting in shock.

"What... what did you say?"
