[BL] Oops! Guiding The F Class Villain Esper Gone Wrong!
Chapter 195: REPORT
While June sat there thinking through the incident, he received a message from Nyx.
June shifted his attention to it, reading through the reminder Nyx had sent him.
[Remember our first date, this weekend.]
June smiled as he read through the time and venue the two of them had agreed on for their date. He quickly replied to the message.
[Mmm. Okie.]
Even as he smiled at the message, however, his thoughts eventually drifted back to the incident. He couldn’t help wondering if Finn had actually done it. If so, how much had the plot changed?
And how much was yet to come? Should he be worried?
—
The car pulled over right in front of the Red Dust Guild Organization. Grey removed his seat belt and turned to look at June and his squad, who were sitting behind him.
“We’re here,” he announced casually.
June pushed the door open, and they slowly climbed out of the car. Soon, the four of them stood before the organization, taking a proper look at the building.
June smiled, folding his arms as he commented, “I guess the money and support provided by the government went to good use, considering how refined this place looks…”
Grey rolled his eyes. “Whatever you say. Let’s go inside. I’m pretty busy,” he said, walking past them as they followed behind.
The four of them had come for their internship. They had all selected the Red Dust Guild Organization as their preferred destination, submitted their documents to the academy, and received approval. Now, all they had to do was take their files to the designated organization and officially report for their internship. And so, they had come today to get it done.
Grey led them inside, giving them a mini tour of the organization.
He was rather reluctant about it, merely showing them around and casually waving his hand in the direction of each place. “Over there is where we practice… I guess shooting skills?”
“And over there… we basically eat here, or something.”
“There is… you know, the restroom and all…” He continued the mini tour as the four of them followed behind in their academy uniforms.
June rolled his eyes. “You sound as though you’re being forced to give us a tour.”
“Well, I actually was forced to do it,” Grey replied, flashing him a forced smile.
June sighed. “What a terrible tour guide we have here.”
“I never studied tourism at university, though, so be grateful and keep up.” Grey continued walking before gesturing towards another area. “And this is where we keep our weapons. We’ll get into that later. Next!”
Ryan smiled as he watched the two siblings bicker. They continued their mini tour until it came to an abrupt stop when they arrived at Syll’s office.
Syll was just leaving his office when he bumped into them. He exchanged smiles with the group as soon as he saw them.
“Oh, nice to have you here.”
June smiled back. “Same here. See? I kept my little promise, didn’t I?”
Syll’s smile seemed somewhat unenthusiastic as he replied, “Thanks…” He then forced another smile and added, “I have something important to deliver, so stick around. I’ll be back soon and treat you all to something nice, okay?”
They nodded and watched as Syll walked away to attend to his work. For a moment, the four of them simply stood there, watching him disappear into the distance.
After a brief silence, Ryan tilted his head. “Was it just me, or did it feel like he wasn’t too happy to see us here…?”
Kael slowly nodded in agreement. “Yeah… I felt that too. Wasn’t he enthusiastic about having us join? Why does it look like he doesn’t give a fuck anymore?”
Grey folded his arms and scoffed at them. “He lost his father. And even if he seems like he doesn’t care, it’d still be inhuman if he didn’t feel anything…”
He glanced at them before adding, “So stop speculating and let him grieve in peace, you nosy little things.”
Ryan shrugged. “It could be… I’m just saying.”
Kael nodded, still looking thoughtful. “I wonder what his relationship with his father was really like…”
He fell silent as they continued watching Syll disappear into the distance. June said nothing, merely standing there with his arms folded as he watched.
He knew a little about the situation and could read Syll’s character to some extent, even though he didn’t particularly want to. He just could, and somehow, he felt bad about it.
“Let’s get going. You have to submit your silly little letters, right? Let’s drop them off in his office so he’ll find them when he returns,” Grey said, taking the lead as the others followed behind.
—
Syll soon returned and found them in the organization’s cafeteria. They were all seated around a table, enjoying the delicacies Grey had ordered for them from the academy.
“Well, I guess it’s an okay meal. Nothing too special,” June remarked with a shrug as he tasted the food.
Grey sighed, staring at him. “Talk again, and I’ll be sending you back home.”
Syll smiled as he watched the two continue to bicker. After a while, Ryan looked up at him. He had been observing Syll for some time before finally deciding to ask a question.
“So… how have you been feeling recently?” he asked.
Syll hesitated, staring at them with a smile before replying, “I’m fine… Why are you all staring at me like that?”
Ryan shook his head. “Nothing. We were just worried, that’s all… I mean…” He trailed off, unwilling to say the words aloud, though they all knew what he meant.
Syll smiled faintly. “We weren’t that close, so don’t worry. I mean, technically, we were practically strangers, and that’s all…”
He paused before adding, “Especially someone as despicable as him, who did all those things… Who would possibly want to be close to or associated with someone like him?”
Syll then reassured them, “So don’t worry about that at all. Enjoy the food and don’t think too much about me.”
As he spoke confidently with a smile, June stared at him. At that moment, a question surfaced in his mind. He wanted to casually slip it into the conversation and probe Syll a little further about his words.
