Chapter 396: Free Love

Xiao Yue was sitting in her study over on the 31st floor—she was writing something with a fountain pen on an empty book in front of her.

The book's pages were empty. She was just writing stuff on them to fill it up.

The study was luxurious.

It had floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the city, plush leather furniture, and a grand mahogany desk.

A bookshelf was pressed against the wall. It had many, many magical books. They were all expensive and hard-to-find.

"Hmm…"

Xiao Yue tapped her chin with the fountain pen as she looked at the open and empty book in front of her.

She was writing a romance novel.

It wasn't something that she would allow anyone to read—especially not her guild members—as it would be far too embarrassing.

She always made it seem like she was a cold young woman who did not care about romance or the opposite gender.

It was actually quite opposite.

She was very much interested and imagined her life to be like some kind of romantic movie.

"Yes, that is good…"

Xiao Yue thought out loud and continued scribbling on the book with the fountain pen with beautiful handwriting.

She was writing about a princess being captured by an evil sorceress and then saved by a brave knight.

It did mirror her own experience in a way—about what happened with Devon—very closely as a fact.

Knock! Knock!

In that moment, someone knocked on her door, and she quickly slammed the book shut and put it inside her drawer.

Then locked it tightly with a key.

"Come in."

Xiao Yue gathered herself as well as she could, and she hid the key inside a cup with many fountain pens.

The door opened.

A young woman opened the door—she was one of the newer members of the guild—and she looked like she was eager to please Yue.

"There is someone downstairs wanting to talk to you. Two people, actually. They said that they're here to talk about… Fang Raon, I think the name was."

She said.

'About Fang Raon? Did something happen to him?'

Xiao Yue frowned and then nodded at her and said, "Bring them over," and she quickly opened the window slightly to let in some fresh air.

In that moment, through the door, two women entered—they were Chaewon and Della—very gorgeous women.

When they saw Xiao Yue, their eyes narrowed, as she was definitely prettier in person than in the photographs.

"Welcome to my guild. My name is Xiao Yue, and I am the guild master of the Dämonenköniginnenheer Guild."

Xiao Yue said.

"I am Della Rose—the guild master of the Rose Records—and this is Song Chaewon, a member of my guild."

Della said.

"…Rose Records?"

Xiao Yue said in surprise.

It wasn't a guild that she was overly familiar with, but she knew that Fang Raon was part of them, and therefore, she looked directly at Della.

She was the young woman that recruited Fang Raon, and he, for some reason, was really loyal to her.

"Please, sit."

Xiao Yue said, and then all three of them sat down, and the young woman who took them here was still standing by the doorway.

"Want some tea?"

Xiao Yue asked.

The two girls thought about it for a while, and then they nodded and said, "Sure," and then Xiao Yue sent the young woman to brew some tea.

"You wanted to talk about Fang Raon."

Xiao Yue said.

"I don't like circling around a bush. I'd like to go straight to the point. We are dating Fang Raon—he is our boyfriend."

Chaewon said immediately.

"…What?"

Xiao Yue thought she was imagining it, but then her words kept circling in her mind, and she was certain that she said that the two of them were.

Not just one.

But both.

"Yes, the both of us."

Chaewon said with a smile.

She had a feeling that Xiao Yue was most confused about that part, as while polygamy was popular in some parts of the world, it wasn't something that Xiao Yue was familiar with.

'He is not dating only one person. But two? I didn't know that he was such a person… I don't know what to feel about that.'

Xiao Yue thought with a frown.

She had always thought that dating someone was a sacred act—that love between two people was always pure—it was something she wanted to experience at least once.

"We wanted to approach you because it looks like you've been in contact with him for a while now.

"It's important for us to understand the nature of your relationship."

Della said.

"Ah… It's just friendship…"

Xiao Yue said.

It didn't sound really all that convincing, as even she wasn't really sure whether they were even friends.

She was still busy thinking about the fact that Fang Raon was in a relationship with two crazy beautiful women.

'There must be a reason why the two of them are willing to share him. I shouldn't be all that surprised that he is in a relationship.

'I do understand why someone would feel attracted towards him.'

Xiao Yue thought.

"We just wanted to let you know. I am not sure what your intentions with him are, but he is already taken."

Chaewon said.

"…I am just curious about one thing."

Xiao Yue said.

The two girls looked at her.

"Who started dating him first?"

Xiao Yue asked.

"I did."

Chaewon said.

"…Then, why did you want to share him with somebody else? If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't want to share him with anybody."

Xiao Yue said.

"I wanted Raon to be happy. I knew he had feelings towards Della, but he buried them deep inside because he was with me.

"I also like Della.

"At first, sure, I wanted him to be only mine and nobody else's. I am still very possessive about him, as you can see.

"But I've come to realize that love should be free, and I want him to be happy above all else."

Chaewon said.

"…I see."

Xiao Yue had a lot to think about—she looked to be deep in thought—and the two girls saw that.

"That's all."

Chaewon said, and then the two of them stood up and left the room while the young woman just came back with the tea.

"…The tea?"

She asked, but it looked like the two girls were already leaving without drinking the tea.

"I'll drink them."

Xiao Yue said with a thoughtful look on her beautiful face.
