Bonding System: I Grow Stronger by Taming My Sect Elders

Chapter 23: Sharing conditions did not meet

"Well, I heard the Strom clan has good techniques. And that fucker’s mother is hot as fuck," Veyron said with a large, evil smile.

[You are definitely a villain... I was paired with the evil man.] Veyron laughed loudly at the System’s words, like a real villain.

After that, Veyron returned to the house and went to his room. He sat on his bed in the lotus position and began to think about what he should do next.

He had already decided on closed-door cultivation for three months, but he did not know whether he could actually break through to the Spirit Adept realm. It was extremely difficult—nearly impossible.

Aveline and Eleanor both knew this. They simply had not wanted to crush his morale, so they never said it outright. That was also why Eleanor had given him five grade-three pills, to keep his spirits up.

Things could still change, though, if he managed to make his spirit core 100x. With the cultivation technique he had obtained from Xialyn, it was possible. He could not push her bonding to 100% anytime soon, but he did not need to.

What he needed was his aunt’s bonding at 100%. That would give him one more slot to share an aspect, and he could strengthen his spirit core to 100x. The boost would be massive.

He would try it tonight with Aveline, before he entered closed-door cultivation for the full three months. Jade Mist Peak had a perfect place for it—an area where spirit energy was heavily concentrated.

Every peak had one, reserved only for its own disciples. Now that he had joined Jade Mist Peak, even temporarily, he could use it.

With that in mind, he would wait for his aunt to return, tell her his plans, and then make his move. He was completely certain he would succeed.

For now, though, he opened his eyes and pulled up the profile of Grand Elder Eleanor.

"Wait," Veyron said, just as he was about to open Eleanor’s profile. "Instead of showing me all the battle techniques she has, show me only the ones I can share with her."

[Alright... here you go.]

A revised profile of Eleanor appeared before him. Veyron focused on it intently.

++++

[Name: Eleanor Rime]

[Race: Human]

[Cultivation: Spirit King Realm — Rank 8]

[Physique: Nine Yin Frost Physique — Saint Rank]

[Bloodline: Human — Mortal Rank]

[Affinity: Ice]

[Cultivation Technique: Azure Celestial Ice Scripture — Earth Rank]

[Battle Techniques: Azure Ice Dragon — Heaven Rank, Thousand Ice Swords — Earth Rank, Absolute Zero Domain — Earth Rank, Phantom Ice Steps — Earth Rank]

[Spirit Core: Purple]

[Spirit Veins: Human — Earth Rank]

++++

Veyron looked over Grand Elder Eleanor’s profile and could not help but feel amazed. She was truly powerful, and she possessed a Saint Rank physique, just like his aunt.

He immediately checked what kind of physique it was.

++++

[Nine Yin Frost Physique]

[Rank: Saint]

[Description: An exceptionally rare cultivation physique blessed with an innate affinity for Yin energy and the Dao of Ice. It grants its wielder extraordinary cultivation talent, exceptional control over ice-based techniques, and the ability to absorb and refine Yin and ice-attributed spiritual energy with incredible efficiency. As the physique awakens and evolves, its wielder gains increasingly profound mastery over the power of absolute ice.]

++++

It was an excellent physique, perfectly suited for an ice cultivator. He had been told she did not belong to his mother’s clan, even though she cultivated ice. He did not understand why, but he would find out sooner or later.

He wondered if his mother had possessed a similar physique. The grand elder had said she was nothing compared to his mother. Had she simply been humble, or had she been telling the truth?

He did not dwell on it. He already knew no one would tell him about his parents anytime soon, for reasons he still did not know.

For now, he had a question for the System. "How are so many people born with these great physiques?"

[What do you mean, so many? I understand what you’re trying to say, but your sect, the Azure Sky Sect, is the strongest. All the geniuses of the Sunmoon Empire—and perhaps even some from outside—are part of this sect.]

[You’re seeing them one after another, which is why it feels common. But let me tell you this, only those who are heaven’s chosen, those destined for greatness, are born with physiques like these.]

Veyron was surprised. Still, he understood the System was right. Surrounded by great figures, he had started to feel as if such physiques were ordinary. They were not. The System had made that clear.

As Veyron saw that her cultivation technique was different and ranked Earth—the Azure Celestial Ice Scripture—he understood that having a cultivation technique related to your affinity, and being an elemental cultivator, could give you a huge boost.

Elemental cultivators were those whose affinity toward their elements was very strong. They only cultivated their elemental power and grew strong. This was a great advantage to them, as they only needed to focus on one path and make it the strongest.

But only those cultivators attempted it who had high affinities toward their elements, or they could not become good elemental cultivators. Apart from all these, most people of these were elemental cultivators, as it was an easy yet at the same time risky path.

But many were there who cultivated all powers, and their spirit energy did not need any element to show its power. For them, only their spirit powers were enough.

And only rare cultivatiors were there who went with all choices, so that they could cultivate all the paths they had, to become strong cultivators. If their one path was not strong, the other paths would balance them.

And this path Veyron was going to take. As he had the bonding system, he did not need to worry. What he needed to worry about was how effectively he could tame the powerful women, to reach toward the greatest of the powers.

Next, he checked what type of cultivation technique it was.

++++

[Azure Celestial Ice Scripture]

[Rank: Earth]

[Description: An ancient and powerful cultivation technique that allows its practitioner to absorb and refine ice-attributed spiritual energy with exceptional efficiency. It strengthens the spiritual foundation, enhances cultivation speed, and grants greater control over ice-based techniques. As the practitioner advances, the scripture gradually unlocks deeper mysteries of the Dao of Ice, allowing them to wield increasingly powerful ice abilities.]

++++

As he expected, it was an excellent cultivation technique for ice elemental cultivators. He had already seen how effective it was after witnessing Grand Elder Eleanor’s power today.

It had been overwhelming. And yet people still called her the Ice Fairy. She was, in truth, a rather strict fairy. Veyron chuckled at the thought. Then a notification appeared.

Ding!

[Host may now assign the bond to one of two slots: Harem or Random.]

He did not hesitate. She was powerful, and she was also a close friend of both his aunt and his mother. There was no way in hell she was going into the random slot either.

Ding!

[Third harem slot filled!]

[Bond: Eleanor Rime]

[Bonding: 10%]

[Note: She admires your courage and bravery, thinks highly of you, and has great expectations for you.]

Ding!

[Sharing conditions did not meet.]

[You cannot share any aspects of her strength.]

Veyron had expected this. How could he tame someone he had barely interacted with so easily? He did not even have a prior bond with her, unlike with his aunt and senior sister.

This one would be difficult. Still, he understood that she respected strength. He would show her what he could do. She already admired his courage and bravery, and she held high expectations for him.
