Both were currently at zero, and he still had no idea how Bond Points worked.

He pushed the thought aside for now as he entered the territory of the Azure Sky Sect. The familiar sight of the sect appeared ahead as he continued walking toward its entrance.

As he walked, Vey slowly began thinking about what he would say when he reached the sect. For now, he understood that there would be two Inner Sect disciples standing guard at the entrance.

While he was thinking about it, the system explained the last thing he had been wondering about, bringing his attention back to the topic.

[Bond Points are points you will earn by completing the quests I give you. Of course, those quests will be related to bonds and the women you form them with.]

"Is that so? And what will I be able to do with these Bond Points?" Vey asked, growing curious.

[You can use them for two main purposes. First, you can purchase techniques from the System Store that will help you form and strengthen bonds.]

[And if you accumulate enough Bond Points, you can even use them to achieve a breakthrough. Of course, this will only work for minor realm breakthroughs.]

Vey’s eyes widened. So, he had a System Store where he could purchase techniques that would help him form and strengthen bonds.

And he could actually use Bond Points to make breakthroughs? Wasn’t that amazing?

But then another thought crossed his mind. It would probably require a huge number of Bond Points to use them for a breakthrough.

[Of course. And don’t ask how many points you’ll need yet. It’ll be better for you to understand that through experience. The same goes for the techniques in the System Store.]

[And keep this in mind: those techniques will only be able to help you to a certain extent. Most of the effort will still have to come from you. After all, such techniques may not work as effectively on women with powerful cultivation.]

After that, Vey kept walking and finally reached the sect after nearly half an hour. The territory of the Azure Sky Sect was enormous, and even reaching its entrance from the edge of the sect’s territory had taken considerable time.

Standing before him was a vast mountain range known as the Azure Sky Mountain Range, from which the sect had taken its name.

The sight before Vey was grand.

He had never truly understood how enormous the Azure Sky Sect was. As an Outer Sect disciple, he had spent most of his time within the Outer Court and had rarely ventured beyond it.

But judging from what he remembered from Earth, the sect was certainly no less impressive than the grand sects he had read about in cultivation novels.

Perhaps it was even more magnificent.

Unfortunately, Vey couldn’t see the entire sect from where he stood. A thick layer of white mist covered the distant mountains and structures, hiding them from view and making the entire place appear even more mysterious.

In front of him stood a massive set of white walls, built from smooth, beautiful stone. Intricate patterns had been carved across their surface, giving the walls an ancient yet elegant appearance.

A wide staircase stretched from the foot of the walls toward the entrance, with countless broad steps leading upward.

At the top stood a gigantic gate, tall enough to make ordinary people feel insignificant beneath it.

The entire structure radiated an imposing presence, making it immediately clear that this was the entrance to one of the most powerful sects in the Sunmoon Empire.

Vey began climbing the stairs. After reaching the top, he approached the massive gate.

But before he could step through, two figures dressed in the robes of Inner Sect disciples stepped forward and blocked his path.

Both Inner Sect disciples immediately recognized him. They had once been Outer Sect disciples alongside Vey, but while they had managed to advance and become Inner Sect disciples, Vey was still the same useless cripple in their eyes.

A mocking glint appeared in one of their eyes.

"Hey, isn’t that the crippled Veyron?"

"Seems like it," the other disciple replied. "Tell us, cripple, are you returning from a mission?"

Vey felt a surge of anger.

He wanted nothing more than to beat the crap out of these two, but he knew better. Both of them were releasing the aura of the Spirit Adept Realm.

He was only at Spirit Initiate Rank 4. There was no way he could fight them right now.

"I am. I went to collect some herbs in Whispering Cloud Forest," Vey replied calmly.

Both disciples looked Vey up and down.

His white sect uniform was torn in several places, while scratches and wounds covered parts of his arms and body.

"How pathetic. It was only a herb-collecting mission, yet you ended up in this condition..."

The other disciple shook his head with disdain.

"Sigh... You should just leave the sect instead of dragging its name down. Just go. We don’t even need to check you. There’s no way a useless idiot like you could possibly be a threat."

With that, the disciple waved his hand, allowing Vey to enter. Vey clenched his fists tightly, doing his best to suppress his anger.

Still, he was relieved that he had managed to enter without any trouble.

Last night, he had slipped out by tagging along with a group of Outer Sect disciples who were heading out on a mission. He had paid them quite a few Spirit Stones to let him pretend to be a member of their group.

But the guardian shift had changed since then, making things more troublesome.

[It’s a good thing these two were idiots. You managed to get inside without any trouble.]

Vey silently agreed with the system.

As he walked away, he turned his head and glanced back at the two disciples. I’ll remember you two motherfuckers.

With that thought, Vey continued deeper into the sect.

The Azure Sky Sect had its own residential areas for its disciples and elders. However, since his aunt, Aveline, was one of the Grand Elders, her residence was located on a separate peak where she lived, cultivated, and taught her disciples.

Noble disciples were allowed to live with their families, but Vey had repeatedly told his aunt that he wanted to live in the disciple residential quarters instead.

She had always refused, saying it would be dangerous for him for some reason Vey never quite understood.

He didn’t know what could possibly be dangerous for him inside the sect.

As he climbed the stairs leading up the peak known as Jade Mist Peak, Vey remembered that his aunt only accepted female disciples.

And all of them were breathtakingly beautiful, with a few even being core disciples of the sect.

He climbed the seemingly endless stairs quickly. There were far too many of them, but he was already used to the journey.

Soon, he finally reached the grand residence of one of the most powerful Grand Elders of the Azure Sky Sect—his aunt, Aveline.

Vey stopped for a moment at the entrance, feeling slightly nervous.

He knew she had probably already discovered that he was missing. She might have even gone to the Mission Hall to check whether he had accepted any mission before leaving.

For some reason, his aunt had always been extremely protective of him. Even though he was already twenty years old, she still treated him like a little child.

Vey entered the residence and crossed the large, beautiful courtyard. The courtyard itself was peaceful and elegant, with a small pond in the center where clear water gently rippled beneath the sunlight.

A few smooth stones surrounded its edges, while delicate cherry blossom trees stood nearby, their branches covered in soft pink flowers.

Beautiful flowers and various spiritual herbs grew throughout the courtyard, carefully arranged along the pathways and around the pond. Their faint fragrance filled the air, giving the entire place a tranquil atmosphere.

Despite being the residence of a powerful Grand Elder, there was nothing overly extravagant about it. Instead, it carried a quiet elegance that made Vey feel strangely familiar and comfortable.

He eventually stopped in front of the entrance of inner building. Before he could knock, a beautiful and elegant voice came from inside.

"Come inside."

Vey shuddered. The voice he had always associated with warmth and affection now carried a faint hint of anger.

He knew there was no going back now. Taking a small breath, Vey slowly slid the door to the side. And there, sitting calmly inside, was his aunt.
