Chapter 284: Undercurrent

Chapter 284: Undercurrent

"Right, when I made my move earlier, why didn’t the Disaster Will notice me?" Noah thought for a moment before asking.

Back in the Outer Sea, even moving a little faster would attract the Disaster Will’s attention. When he rescued Freya and the others, it had immediately reacted by teleporting several 6th Order Demonized Monsters to surround and sneak attack them.

Compared to the chaos he had caused on the battlefield just now, those actions were insignificant.

Originally, Noah had expected the Disaster Will to notice him immediately and perhaps even send a large number of 7th Order Demonized Monster to surround him.

Unexpectedly, nothing happened.

"Because areas like Royal Demon City and Demon Subduing City are already under our control," Sylvia explained with a smile. " The Disaster Will’s influence in these regions were severed long ago.

’Otherwise, if it could freely send 7th Order monsters into our territory, we would have been wiped out long ago. How could the Demon Subduing Alliance have survived until today?"

Noah nodded thoughtfully.

That was true.

Considering the power of the Disaster Will in the Remnant World, organizations like the Demon Subduing Alliance never had the chance to grow if it had been operating at full strength.

Under Sylvia’s explanation, Noah quickly understood the situation.

After portions of the Remnant World were transformed and integrated into their respective worlds, the World Will and Heavenly Doa extended their influence into those territories as well. As a result, the Disaster Will was gradually pushed out.

At present, the territory controlled by the Demon Subduing Alliance was no smaller than a star comparable in size to the sun.

Within this vast region, they did not need to worry about being targeted by the Disaster Will.

However, the moment they stepped outside this territory, the situation changed completely.

Beyond the Alliance’s borders, they would once again be subjected to the suppression of the World while simultaneously being targeted by the Disaster Will.

One was passive.

The other was active.

Under this double burden, even the strongest experts would find their strength greatly restricted.

-----

The high-level meeting of the Demon Subduing Alliance did not last very long.

After all, the outcome of the discussion had already been decided the moment Noah displayed strength capable of overwhelming multiple 7th-Order experts.

Not long after the meeting ended, Sam personally came looking for Noah.

There was a smile on his face that he could barely suppress.

Clearly, the results of the meeting had exceeded even his expations.

"Mr. Aryan, I have some good news for you," Sam said as soon as he arrived.

"Oh?"

Noah looked at him with interest.

"My proposal has been unanimously approved."

Sam’s smile widened.

"The Alliance has agreed to open its treasury to you. You may enter at any time and take whatever resources you need."

"Whatever I need?" Noah raised an eyebrow.

"That’s right."

Sam nodded firmly.

"Not a single person objected. Everyone recognizes the value of your contribution during the battle. More importantly, everyone understands what someone with your potential represents."

A trace of admiration appeared in his eyes.

"To be honest, if not for your appearance, Royal Demon City would have suffered catastrophic losses this time. The Alliance owes you a tremendous favor."

"Now, as long as you are willing, you can freely access the Alliance treasury."

Noah smiled faintly.

The treasury of a force that controlled multiple territories and had existed for countless years was naturally tempting.

However, he was not in a hurry.

Resources would not run away.

Compared to treasures, he was more interested in the Alliance’s future plans.

"What about the other matters?" Noah asked. "What are your plans moving forward?"

The smile on Sam’s face gradually faded.

His expression became serious.

"The Alliance has already reached a decision."

"We will launch a full-scale offensive against the Gray Demon Clan and the Mountain Ridge Giant Beast Race."

A cold glint flashed through his eyes.

"This battle has already proven that coexistence is impossible."

"If we don’t eliminate them now, they will continue causing trouble in the future."

Noah nodded slightly.

That was a reasonable conclusion.

After suffering such losses, no force would simply let the matter rest.

"Of course..."

Sam suddenly smiled bitterly.

"Everything depends on whether Mr. Aryan is willing to help."

"If you choose not to participate, our plan will become much more conservative."

"We would only occupy some of their territories and gradually convert those regions into our own."

The difference between the two strategies was enormous.

One aimed to cripple the enemy.

The other aimed to destroy them completely.

And the deciding factor was Noah.

After all, the current balance of power between the two sides was relatively equal.

Both factions possessed several 7th-Order experts.

Without Noah, completely annihilating the two races would be nearly impossible.

With Noah, however, the situation was entirely different.

A monster capable of suppressing multiple 7th-Order opponents alone was enough to change the outcome of an entire war.

"Alright."

Noah nodded without hesitation.

"I’ll participate."

The answer came so quickly that Sam was momentarily stunned.

Then his eyes lit up.

He had prepared countless arguments and persuasion tactics before coming here.

Unexpectedly, none of them were necessary.

Noah had agreed immediately.

In reality, Noah had his own reasons.

He still needed a large amount of war merit.

The battle at Royal Demon City had given him quite a bit, but it was far from enough for his future plans.

If a larger war was about to break out, there was no reason for him to refuse.

For Noah, the battlefield was the fastest place to accumulate resources and merit.

Seeing Noah agree, Sam’s mood instantly improved.

"Excellent!"

He laughed.

"Since Mr. Aryan is willing to help, the Alliance certainly won’t let you suffer any losses."

"We will provide whatever resources you need to the best of our ability."

His words were sincere.

This was not merely a polite promise.

Everyone knew Noah’s importance.

The Alliance treasury itself represented only a portion of their total wealth.

Behind the Alliance stood several Second-Level Civilizations and Small Thousand Worlds that had existed for countless years.

The combined resources of those forces were staggering.

Noah naturally had no intention of refusing free benefits.

However, he planned to inspect the treasury first before making any requests.

"When do we begin?" Noah asked.

Sam thought for a moment.

"That depends on you, Mr. Aryan."

"However, if we delay for too long, the Gray Demon Clan and the Mountain Ridge Giant Beast Race may seek assistance from other 7th-Order races."

A trace of concern appeared on his face.

"The longer we wait, the more variables there will be."

Noah nodded.
