Breeder To The Brutal Alpha King

Chapter 131: In Pains

Chapter 131: In Pains

Kaden’s POV

"What?!" I roared, the word tearing out of my throat like thunder.

The entire grand hall froze. Stephanie took a shaking step back, her whole body trembling as she held her chest, struggling to talk through her heavy tears.

"She... she is in great pain, Alpha!" Stephanie screamed through her tears, her voice frantic and broken. "Please, send for the healers! She collapsed out of nowhere, and her body is burning up!"

A wave of ice-cold fear washed over me, instantly freezing the anger in my blood. I snapped my head toward Logan, my green eyes wide with a fear I had never felt before.

"Logan! Send for the healers right now!" I ordered, my voice booming with authority. "Get the doctors, get everyone to her room immediately! Go!"

"Right away, Alpha!" Logan yelled, already using his mind link to call the medical wing.

I didn’t waste a single second waiting for him. I turned around and sprinted out of the grand hall.

My heart was racing against my ribs like a trapped animal. My heavy boots slammed against the marble floors, the sound echoing through the long, dark hallways as I ran as fast as I could. My inner wolf was wild with panic, screaming at me to run faster.

I reached the servants’ wing in no time. I didn’t bother knocking; I lunged forward and pushed the heavy wooden door open so hard it slammed against the wall.

The sight inside made my heart sink completely into a dark hole of pain.

Rebecca was on the floor. She was curled up into a tight, little ball, crying loudly as she held her belly tightly with both hands. Her pale face was completely soaked with sweat and tears, and her body was shaking from the sharp pain ripping through her.

"Rebecca!" I choked out.

I rushed across the room and fell to the ground beside her, completely forgetting my own pride. I gathered her small, shaking body into my arms, pulling her chest against my bare chest. I could feel the burning heat coming from her skin.

"What happened? What’s wrong?!" I asked quickly, my hands brushing the damp hair away from her face. My voice was shaking, a sound I barely recognized as my own.

Rebecca couldn’t answer me. She couldn’t even speak. She could only close her eyes tightly, groaning in pure pain as she squeezed her stomach even harder. Every breath she took was a rough, painful gasp.

Panic completely took over me. I looked toward the empty doorway and yelled at the top of my lungs, "Where are the damn healers?!"

I looked back down at her tear-stained face, my chest aching so badly it felt like it was breaking apart. "Rebecca, hold on," I begged, my voice dropping into a desperate whisper. "Look at me, please. Hold on. They will be here. They are coming, please..."

She kept crying in my arms, her soft, heartbreaking whimpers going straight through my soul. Every single cry felt like a sharp needle stabbing directly into my chest, twisting deeper and deeper. I had never felt so completely helpless in my entire life.

Finally, the doors burst open again. The pack healers walked in quickly, followed closely by the head doctor.

"Move! Give them space!" I ordered, though it killed me to let her go. I carefully lifted Rebecca from the dirty floor and laid her gently onto the middle of the bed.

The healers didn’t waste a moment. They rushed to the side of the bed and placed their hands flat over her bare stomach. A soft, glowing green light began to pour out of their hands, sending a gentle warmth as they used their magic to check the damage and stop the internal bleeding.

Even with the healing light, Rebecca cried out in pain, her back arching slightly against the bed.

I just stood there and watched, my heart breaking into a million pieces. Seeing her suffer was suffocating. For the first time, a strange, overwhelming thought crossed my mind—I wished I could take the pain myself. If I could take the agony away from her and put it into my own body, I would have done it without a single second of hesitation.

Slowly, under the touch of the healers’ magic, Rebecca’s loud cries began to stop. Her breathing grew quiet, but her pale face was still deeply twisted in pain, her eyebrows pulled together as she fell into a restless sleep.

The doctors stepped back, checking her pulse and looking over the magical readings.

Out of pure, raw impatience, I stepped forward, my fists squeezed tightly at my sides. "What is going on?!" I demanded, feeling restless.

The head doctor, Doctor Thomas, sighed heavily and looked up at me with a serious face. "Alpha, it seems that the pregnancy control drug was mixed with highly toxic herbs. The poison is currently attacking her womb. It is trying to destroy her ability to have children completely."

My blood ran cold, but Thomas quickly continued before I could explode.

"The womb is not permanently damaged yet, Alpha King," he explained quickly, sensing my deadly mood. "But it is at extreme risk. If we do not act right now, she will become completely barren. We must start the treatment immediately before it becomes too late."

A dark, terrifying rage flared back to life inside me.

"Then start the damn treatment! What are you all waiting for?!" I roared, my voice shaking the entire bedroom.

In my frustration, I lashed out, kicking a heavy wooden stool away. It crashed violently against the wall, breaking into pieces.

I turned my eyes back to the bed, staring down at Rebecca. Her eyes were closed, a single tear slipping down her pale cheek even in her sleep. She looked so small, so innocent, and so deeply hurt by the monsters hiding inside my own walls.

I couldn’t stand to look at her like this any longer. The sight of her pain was choking me, driving my wolf to the absolute edge of madness.

Without another word, I turned around and stormed out of the room, the heavy door slamming shut behind me. I needed to find Lily. And when I did, I would make her and whoever sent her beg for death.
