Chapter 135: Furious
Chapter 135: Furious
Rebecca’s POV
"Open it before the count of three, Rebecca, or I will break it down!" Kaden roared from the other side. His heavy fists slammed against the door, making the wood vibrate. "One! Two!"
I couldn’t take the terror anymore. Knowing he would tear the door off its hinges anyway, my shaking hands flew to the lock. I turned it quickly, and the moment the bolt clicked, the door flew open.
I let out a sharp cry as Kaden exploded into the room like a beast that had finally found its prey. Before I could even step back, his huge hand grabbed my shoulder. He spun me around and slammed my back hard against the wooden door. The impact knocked the breath right out of my lungs.
He pinned me there, using his massive body to trap me completely. His chest heaved wildly, and his dark green eyes were pitch-black with a terrifying rage. The heavy, suffocating pressure of his Alpha aura flooded the small room, making it hard to breathe.
"What were you and Kane doing alone in your room?!" Kaden spat, his voice dropping into a deadly growl right against my face. "Answer me, Rebecca! Why was my brother in your bedroom?!"
"Nothing!" I gasped out, my voice shaking as tears of pure terror ran down my cheeks. "We were doing nothing, Alpha Kaden! He just—he just came to check on me!"
"Don’t lie to me!" Kaden roared, his grip tightening on my shoulders until it bruised. A cruel smile twisted his face. "Because I refused to touch you, now you are running to my brother?! Is that it?! You couldn’t even wait before throwing yourself at another Alpha?!"
His words cut through me like a knife. But before I could even process the horror of his accusation, Kaden’s eyes darkened with a wild madness.
With a brutal yank, his hand grabbed the collar of my simple dress and ripped it downward. The fabric tore open with a loud RIP, exposing my bare chest and shoulders.
"Are you that desperate?!" he sneered, his hot, angry breath fanning over my shivering skin. "Is that why you invited him into your bed?!"
The humiliation and pain inside me suddenly snapped. The fear that had kept me quiet for days turned into pure rage. I looked him straight in his bloodshot eyes and screamed right back into his face.
"Yes! I am desperate! I am desperate to feel like a human being instead of a piece of trash!" I sobbed, my chest heaving against his hands. "You called me worthless, Alpha Kaden! You treat me like an object, a broken vessel to be thrown away! At least your brother looked at me like a person! Like I was a woman instead of a womb!" I spat out. "If you hate me so much, why do you even care who touches me?!"
The words tore out of my throat with all the pain of the last three days.
Kaden froze. My words seemed to hit him hard. His jaw tightened so much the muscle ticked violently. For a split second, a flash of raw emotion crossed his eyes. But his dominant wolf couldn’t handle my defiance.
With a low, possessive growl, he cut off my breath by slamming his mouth down onto mine.
The kiss wasn’t gentle. It was a violent, punishing clash of lips and teeth, driven by pure jealousy and dark hunger. He was marking his territory, claiming what he had just called worthless.
A wave of rebellion flared inside me. I twisted my head, fighting his strength, and bit down hard on his lower lip.
The sharp taste of blood filled my mouth.
Kaden let out a deep grunt as blood pooled on his lip. But instead of pulling away, the pain only seemed to drive him completely insane. He groaned into my mouth, kissing me even harder, his tongue invading and devouring me until I was completely breathless.
Suddenly, he wrapped his strong arms around my waist and lifted my weak body completely off the floor. He pulled me away from the wall and crushed my chest tightly against his hard torso, holding me so close there wasn’t an inch of space left between us.
"You are mine," he growled against my lips, his voice rough and completely feral. "Don’t you dare look at another man. Never."
Before I could think, his lips left my mouth and slid down to my neck. He buried his face in my shoulder, his sharp teeth scraping against my sensitive skin right next to the heavy magic collar. He began biting and sucking at my neck with a wild, desperate hunger, leaving dark marks all over my pale skin.
"Alpha Kaden... stop..." I whimpered, my hands weakly pushing against his shoulders. But my body was betraying me. The heat radiating from him made my legs melt, and I could feel his wild, racing heart beating right against mine.
His lips slid lower from my neck, moving down to my exposed chest. I let out a soft cry as his mouth clamped onto my breast. He sucked hard, a desperate hunger driving him, sending a strange shock of heat straight to my core. I gripped his shoulders, torn between the fear of his strength and the wild warmth blooming inside me. He was completely out of control, claiming every inch of my skin as if he wanted to leave his mark on me forever.
Suddenly, a loud hand slammed against the ruined doorframe.
"Alpha King!"
Kaden did not stop. He groaned against my skin, his mouth staying glued to my breast. He ignored the voice completely, too lost in his dark anger to care about anything else.
Another loud knock shook the door.
"Alpha! Beta Logan is here! We’ve found Lily!"
The name Lily felt like a bomb.
Kaden froze instantly. His body went completely stiff, turning as hard as stone against me. I could feel his heart hammering a fast, crazy beat against my chest. His breath was hot and shallow against my skin. His wolf was still fighting to stay in control, but the words from the hallway had finally broken through his madness.
Slowly, his head lifted.
When his eyes met mine, the pitch-black color of his wolf was fading away. His dark green eyes were wide, looking shocked and confused.
He looked down at me, and it was like he was finally seeing what he had done. His eyes moved to my torn dress, showing my bare, shaking body. He looked at the tears wet on my cheeks, felt how hard I was trembling, and saw the dark bruises his hands and teeth had just left on my skin.
For a second, the scary Alpha was gone. His jaw dropped, and a look of deep shame washed over his face. He looked horrified by his actions.
Before I could even move, his hands dropped. He let me go so fast that my knees gave out, and I slid down the wall a little bit before catching myself.
Kaden did not say a word. The room was completely quiet, but with quick, shaky movements, he pulled his heavy jacket off his shoulders. He did not look me in the eye as he threw it over me. The big, warm jacket covered my cold skin, wrapping me completely in his scent.
Then, without looking back, he turned around and walked out of the room.
