Breeder To The Brutal Alpha King

Chapter 149: Interrogate

Chapter 149: Interrogate

Kaden’s POV

"Arrange the jet. I am leaving for the Blood Moon Pack immediately."

I cut the mind-link with Logan before he could even reply, slamming both of my palms against the steering wheel. The leather groaned under my grip. I shook my head violently, the walls of the sports car suddenly feeling like they were closing in on me.

Please, no... I begged the empty air, my voice cracking. She can’t be innocent. She can’t be.

But deep down, a terrible, freezing weight settled in my gut. Even my wolf, who usually roared for blood, was dead silent. He knew. We both knew. But I refused to accept it. I couldn’t.

Accepting that Rebecca was innocent meant accepting that I was a monster. It meant I had chained, starved, broken, and tortured an innocent woman. And the absolute worst part? It meant I was going to lose her. If Rebecca was innocent, I would have no right to hold her. She would be set free from me forever.

"No... no, no!" I roared, the sound tearing from my chest as weeks of hidden fear finally gathered in my eyes. I slammed my fist into the dashboard. "Moon Goddess, please! She has to be lying! She can’t be innocent! Please!"

I gripped my head in my hands, my breathing ragged. "She’s lying, I told myself, desperate for any loose thread to hang onto. Don’t be scared, Kaden. She’s just trying to save herself. She’s lying.

An hour later, I tore into the Full Moon Pack’s private airfield. My private jet was already on the tarmac, its engines roaring as it prepared for takeoff. Beta Logan was waiting outside the boarding stairs along with three of my personal, elite guards.

I threw the car door open and stepped out, my aura so dark and suffocating that the guards immediately bowed their heads, trembling.

"Alpha Kaden, what the hell is happening?" Logan asked, rushing toward me with a deeply worried look. "You mind-linked me sounding like—"

"Did you bring what I asked for?" I interrupted, cutting him off completely.

Logan nodded quickly. He reached into his coat and handed me a heavy, polished mahogany box. I flipped the latch open. Inside lay a sleek, custom-made pistol. It wasn’t an ordinary weapon; it was one of a kind, a masterpiece forged with a silver-wolfsbane alloy. A single scratch from its bullets could kill a Lycan or a wolf within seconds.

I grabbed the gun, shoved it into my waistband, and marched up the stairs into the jet. Logan and the guards followed closely behind, the heavy doors sealing shut. Within minutes, the jet tore into the sky.

Inside the cabin, Logan stared at me, trying to gauge the panic behind my eyes. "Kaden, talk to me. What’s wrong?"

I didn’t respond. I couldn’t. I just closed my eyes and leaned my head back against the leather seat, but the silence only made it worse. Rebecca’s broken voice began to ring through my head, repeating every single word she had said to me.

Thirty agonizing minutes later, the jet touched down at the Blood Moon Pack’s territory. Two black SUVs were already waiting on the tarmac. Logan had already informed Alpha Kelvin that the Alpha King was paying an unannounced visit to their pack.

The drive to the packhouse was a blur, but the moment the SUV pulled up to the grand entrance, a sharp, bitter memory played in my mind. Right here on these grounds, Rebecca had been publicly stoned. She would have died that very night if she hadn’t made that desperate bargain with me to become my breeder. I swallowed the thick emotion rising in my throat and stepped out of the car.

Alpha Kelvin and his family stood waiting on the porch, their faces pale and terrified. Standing right behind them were Brandon and Monica—the two idiots I had traveled across the territories for.

As I approached, Kelvin and his pack members instantly dropped to their knees, bowing their heads in submission. I didn’t even look at them.

"Make Brandon and Monica get on their knees," I commanded flatly.

My guards moved instantly. They grabbed Brandon and Monica by their shoulders, forcing them to their knees right before me.

"Alpha... King... what is wrong?" Monica stammered, her voice shaking as she looked up at me with wide, fearful eyes.

Alpha Kelvin looked up nervously. "Alpha King, please, what is wrong? What have they done?"

I stepped closer, my heavy boots thudding against the stone, my shadow completely covering them. "The CCTV records from the night of the festival. The ones inside and outside the library. Where are they?"

Alpha Kelvin instantly froze. He began to stammer, his heart skipping a panicked, guilty beat. The sudden wave of fear in his scent was loud and clear.

The rage inside me boiled over. It was obvious. This man knew the truth. He had known all along.

Without a single word, I pulled the custom pistol from my waistband, aimed, and shot Alpha Kelvin straight through the arm.

BANG!

A loud scream echoed across the courtyard as Kelvin collapsed onto the ground, clutching his bleeding arm as dark blood rushed through his fingers. The pack members gasped in terror, but nobody dared to move.

"The next shot will go directly through your head," I whispered, my voice chillingly calm as I turned the smoking barrel toward Brandon and Monica.

They were shaking so hard their teeth were chattering, their eyes locked onto the weapon in my hand.

"This gun is forged from a rare silver and wolfsbane alloy," I said, leaning down so my face was inches from theirs. "One shot to your heart, and you die in seconds. No healing. No surviving. So don’t you dare lie to me... because Rebecca has already told me everything. I mean absolutely everything."

I clicked the safety off, my finger slowly pressing against the trigger.

"Speak," I growled, "before I paint these floor with your blood."
