Chapter 244: Chapter 153: Sweeping the Camp, a Bumper Harvest

After all, they were two to three kilometers away, and the Fog in this world greatly interfered with one’s Perception Ability.

Even if the opponent was an Expert Level powerhouse, they couldn’t possibly have such a vast perception range.

Blood Roar turned his head and asked, "What should we do now? I feel like they’ll definitely detect us if we try that again."

Now, he would almost subconsciously ask Hellish Roar before making a decision.

Before Hellish Roar could reply, Reina, who was standing nearby, spoke first. "Stop wasting time."

"They’re just a bunch of Tier Two Mixed-blood Species. Let’s move out and annihilate them all."

"Reina..."

Hellish Roar was about to offer a few words of caution, but he saw the crimson figure had already charged out, Horse Lantern in hand, like a fiery meteor.

He quickly relayed the intel to Shen Xing, then gave a slight wave of his hand. "Let’s go. Follow her."

With that, he and Blood Roar led over two hundred combat units in a great procession toward the camp.

...

...

Meanwhile, the gray-robed expert had returned to the camp.

His eyes were filled with confusion and doubt, along with a hint of coldness. He had clearly sensed something was amiss.

’But the strange thing is, I just scouted the area and didn’t sense any suspicious auras.’

Fearing it was a ploy to lure the tiger from the mountain, the gray-robed man abandoned his search.

Still, he knew their position had likely been exposed.

The priority now was to relocate their base and find a new hiding spot.

"Everyone, get up and pack your things. We’re leaving," he ordered in a low voice.

The Skinners scrambled to their feet. Though their bloodshot eyes still burned with anger, none of them disobeyed the gray-robed man’s command.

Just then, they suddenly sensed a scorching aura rapidly approaching.

The Skinners all spun around at once, only to see a crimson figure treading on flames, approaching through the air amidst waves of intense heat.

"So there really was someone nearby! You’re the one who’s been targeting us from the shadows!?"

The gray-robed man stared at the crimson figure in the sky. After carefully gauging her power, a look of contempt surfaced in his eyes. "A Tier Two Mage, daring to serve yourself up on a silver platter. You’ve got some nerve."

The other Skinners also raised their weapons, glaring menacingly at the red-haired woman in the air.

"Deacon, I recognize this woman," said the tentacled man in black. "She’s the Mage from that territory."

"Oh?" The gray-robed man’s brow twitched. "They sent this woman out? It seems they’ve detected our presence after all."

"Fine by me. I was just about to move the plan up and strike tonight."

He turned his head and sized Reina up and down, a flash of admiration in his eyes. "She’s quite a looker. I never thought I’d find such a gorgeous flower in this barren land."

"If I offer you to the Elder Council, perhaps their lordships will grant me another drop of the Blood of Origin..."

Reina said nothing. She merely gave him an indifferent glance, the kind one reserves for a dead man.

The next moment, she raised her Magic Staff, and the surrounding Fire Elements gathered furiously at its tip.

In the blink of an eye, a Fireball over half a meter in diameter coalesced, and it was still expanding.

One meter...

Two meters...

Three meters...

In an instant, the Fireball’s diameter surpassed five meters, its terrifying, destructive fluctuations becoming almost tangible.

The sight made the gray-robed man’s heart pound. The composure in his eyes vanished, replaced by sheer horror.

’This woman is clearly only Tier Two, but even I can feel a lethal threat from the spell she’s casting.’

"You despicable mongrels. You’ve kept me from my Lord’s side for a whole hour. A thousand deaths would be too good for you."

Reina’s ruby lips parted. In the softest of tones, she uttered the most venomous of words. "Now, all of you can just die."

As her voice faded, the massive Fireball plummeted from the sky.

"You dare act so brazenly in my presence!"

Snapping out of his shock, the gray-robed man quickly raised his right hand. A gray Energy Ball coalesced and he hurled it violently into the air.

The gray Energy Ball spun toward the Fireball, carrying an aura that seemed capable of Devouring all things.

"BOOM!!!"

It was as if two meteors had collided in midair, unleashing a terrifying shockwave that sent the tents throughout the camp flying.

The gray-robed man was a Tier Three Expert, after all. As terrifying as Reina’s attack was, he had managed to block it.

The Skinners below were unharmed.

"Heh, just a Tier Two ant after all." The gray-robed man sneered. "Did you really think you alone could—"

Before he could finish, the Fog-shrouded sky suddenly brightened.

Directly above the Skinners’ heads, smaller but shockingly numerous Fireballs began to appear.

One, three, five...

In the blink of an eye, dozens of densely packed Fireballs filled the sky.

—Meteor Fire Rain!

The smile on the gray-robed man’s face froze, his pupils contracting violently.

Before he could react, the sky full of Fireballs came crashing down.

"BOOM! BOOM BOOM BOOM!"

The Fireballs crashed into the ground one after another, exploding like a shower of fiery meteors. Flames and shattered rock flew in all directions.

The combined impacts triggered a chain reaction, and a scorching shockwave swept across the area, sending the Skinners flying.

More than half the Skinners in the camp were killed or wounded in an instant. The few who were lucky enough to survive were now engulfed in crimson flames, screaming and rolling on the ground in agony.

This was the destructive power of a Mage—and a Flame Mage, renowned for having the highest Attack Power, at that. She was putting her ability to dominate a battlefield on full display.

But she wasn’t finished.

High in the air, the red-haired woman continued to cast, unleashing a relentless barrage of destructive spells as if they cost her nothing.
