Building a Perfect Territory in the Mist
Chapter 248 - 155: Soul Communication, Reina’s Feelings
Chapter 248: Chapter 155: Soul Communication, Reina’s Feelings
Reina turned her head slightly, took the collar of her Magic Robe in her left hand, and slowly pulled it down...
A fair, rounded shoulder was exposed in the candlelight, her collarbone exquisite and well-defined.
Lower, the swell of her full, pale breast was faintly visible.
Shen Xing stared, momentarily stunned, then quickly shook his head to refocus.
On her shoulder, near her neck, was a gray wound, its surface still emitting wisps of mist.
The dying blow from that gray-robed man was lethal enough to easily melt a Tier Two Extraordinary Level expert into a puddle of blood.
But thankfully, Reina’s Constitution happened to counter this corrosive Power.
The residual Energy in the wound was being vaporized by the Flame Power in her body, causing wisps of smoke to rise as the wound slowly shrank.
"It doesn’t look too serious."
Shen Xing averted his gaze and admonished her, "Don’t be so reckless next time. Your Attack Power may be enough to threaten a Tier Three expert, but your body is still only Tier Two."
"Remember, you can win ten times, a hundred times, but a single mistake will leave you in a Passive position, and you could even pay for it with your life."
Reina hummed softly. "I’ll remember, Lord."
Shen Xing took out a bottle of [Moon Well Water] from his backpack and handed it over. "Take this. Apply some to the wound when you go to sleep tonight. It should heal faster."
"Okay."
Reina nodded obediently again, as if she would earnestly heed whatever Shen Xing said.
She was a completely different person from the cold, ruthless Destruction Goddess at the Skinners’ camp who had looked ready to blast her enemies to smithereens.
Shen Xing gazed at her demure, downcast expression. ’For some reason,’ he thought, ’in this State, Reina seems even more captivating.’
"Oh, and this is for you too."
He held out his right hand. A red light flashed, and an exquisite little ring materialized in his palm.
Reina stared at the ring, her gaze wavering. "Lord, is... is this for me?"
"Of course. No one in the entire territory is more suited for this ring than you."
Hearing this, Reina’s face grew redder, and she couldn’t help but lower her head.
"Here, put on the ring." Shen Xing handed the ring over.
However, the red-haired beauty didn’t take it. Instead, she asked tentatively, "Lord... could I ask you... to put it on for me?"
Shen Xing was silent for a moment, then nodded. "Alright."
’It’s just putting a ring on a subordinate. It’s no big deal. Besides, her shoulder is injured, so her movement is restricted.’
"Thank you..." Her voice held a hint of joy, and she gently extended her right hand.
Reina’s hand was very fair, with long, slender fingers and smooth, neat nails. It was clearly the hand of a well-to-do young lady.
Shen Xing gently took her fingertips and slowly slid the ring onto her ring finger.
When the ring was fully on, he could clearly feel an even more scorching aura rise from within her body.
Reina gently raised her hand in front of her, carefully examining the finger wearing the ring.
A moment later, her face broke into a smile. "Lord, do you know what it means for one of us Mages when someone of the opposite sex puts a ring on for them?"
"What does it mean?" Shen Xing asked, puzzled.
Reina looked at him seriously for a moment, then gently shook her head. "It’s nothing."
"If there’s nothing else, I’ll be leaving then," Shen Xing said. "You should get some rest. You worked hard tonight."
As he spoke, Shen Xing began to push his wheelchair, preparing to leave.
"Please wait." Reina called out to him again.
Shen Xing turned back and asked, "Is there something else?"
The Red-haired Mage raised her head and stared into his eyes. "Have you perhaps forgotten what you promised me this afternoon?"
"What I promised..." Shen Xing thought back for a moment, then realized something, his eyes widening. "You mean... that?"
"Mhm..." Reina nodded lightly, her eyes filled with longing.
"This... that..." Shen Xing explained awkwardly, "I said we’d talk about it later. I didn’t actually agree, did I?"
Reina froze for a second, the smile on her face stiffening. "Is that so... I thought you had already agreed."
"Then again... for someone like me, born with a curse, it’s already a great honor to be by your side. How could I push my luck and presume to desire your affection..."
"I truly am a woman who is never satisfied."
She muttered to herself, her head hanging low.
Shen Xing watched her, silent for a moment, then sighed. "Let’s get this straight. We’ll just rest while I hold you. Nothing else is allowed."
Reina’s head shot up instantly, her eyes flashing with an unprecedented light.
"Mhm, mhm, I promise!" she nodded repeatedly, then gently returned to the bed.
The candle was extinguished, and the room grew dark, with only the warm, orange glow of the Campfire outside filtering through the window.
A few minutes later, two figures were curled up on the small wooden bed.
Shen Xing lay on the inside, gently holding a tall figure.
Even through their clothes, he could feel her warmth and softness, along with waves of scorching heat.
Reina lay on the outside, her back pressed against his chest, her eyes slightly closed, a satisfied smile on her lips. She seemed to be enjoying it immensely.
The room grew quieter, until even their steady breathing could be heard.
At this moment, Shen Xing was still in a dazed and bewildered State.
He didn’t know how things had suddenly developed this way. He was actually in bed with the female Hero of his territory, holding her, no less.
’Is this even proper?’
’Still, Reina’s body really is soft... and smells so good.’
And with her special Constitution, she constantly radiated an unusual amount of heat, like holding a human-shaped hot water bottle.
