Chapter 267: Chapter 161: Seal Lifted, Black Dragon Monarch Breaks Free
To put it in perspective, an ordinary Three-Star, Level 9 Beastman has Four-dimensional Attributes somewhere between 40 and 60. After a six-fold increase, that becomes 280 to 360.
These were numbers that only some Tier Two, Boss Level soldier types could reach.
In other words, he had instantly gained over three hundred Tier Two powerhouses, all with at least Boss Level potential.
"ROAR! KILL!"
The Beastmen raised their War Axes high, each one exploding forward with unprecedented speed. Like a fleet of out-of-control, green-skinned war machines, they smashed violently into the enemy.
The moment they made contact, the Dragon Tomb Watchers were sent flying into the air in droves, just like in a cartoon.
Their Dragon Scales, which had previously withstood the Beastmen’s War Axes with only superficial damage, now shattered like paper with a single strike.
Those Beastmen were downing one with every swing of their axes, dicing the enemy into mincemeat as easily as chopping vegetables.
"Oh! By the Beast God, these monsters have gotten so weak! I killed one with a single swing!"
"No, it’s not that they got weaker, it’s that we got stronger!"
"Hahaha! We Beastmen really are the strongest!"
"Beastmen are number one in the world!"
The morale of the entire Beastman army skyrocketed, and they crashed into the enemy ranks with even more terrifying speed.
No melee enemy could withstand a single blow. When faced with ranged attacks, they didn’t even bother to dodge, either cleaving the projectiles apart with their axes or simply tanking the hits with their bodies.
After all, the massive boost to their Constitution had also brought about a qualitative leap in their physical resilience.
This was a pure numerical beatdown, utterly devoid of reason or finesse.
As for the two generals, Blood Roar and Dahou, they already possessed Tier Two, Boss Level combat strength. After the six-fold boost, they transformed into veritable killing machines.
The former wielded his Flame Greatsword, each slash unleashing a serpent of fire dozens of meters long that incinerated all enemies in its path.
The latter, holding his Dual Axes and wearing a Horned Helmet, became a veritable raging bull, rampaging through the enemy forces.
Dahou completely ignored all attacks, simply lowering his head and unleashing a wild flurry of strikes with his Dual Axes.
In the blink of an eye, the main battlefield had turned into a one-sided slaughter.
Meanwhile, on the Boss battlefield, Hellish Roar had the enemy firmly pinned down.
’This is the benefit of being fully prepared.’
’If I hadn’t spent ten thousand Food to recruit this batch of Beastmen, facing an Overlord Level creature like this would have forced me to cut my losses and run.’
’I’d have to sacrifice a portion of my troops to hold it back while the rest escaped, and my losses would have been even greater.’
Time flew by amid the fierce battle.
By now, both fronts of the battle were nearing their conclusion.
Having transformed into a Petroleum Demon God wreathed in black flames, Hellish Roar had been locked in aerial combat with the Golden Stone Giant for several hundred rounds.
The two combatants had already covered more than ten kilometers, fighting their way from the south of the Dragon Tomb to the north, and then over to the east.
The great Dao was being worn... no, the very earth was being pounded into giant craters by their blows. The ground of the entire Dragon Tomb was now riddled with holes.
This was utterly exhausting for Reina and the Inferior Demon Legion.
They had to flap their wings frantically just to keep up with the pace of the two behemoths, getting close only to immediately unleash a barrage of Fireballs.
But before they could even get off two volleys, the two combatants would have already relocated.
The Red-haired Mage got so furious that she snapped, activating her Flame Domain. The entire squad’s attack speed and lethality skyrocketed!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
A sky-blotting volley of Hellfire Balls rained down, all of them slamming into the Golden Stone Giant.
Although a single wave didn’t seem to cause any significant damage, the cumulative output was quite substantial.
Another minute passed in the stalemate.
’I have to admit, this Golden Stone Giant is really tough.’
’Blood Roar’s side of the main battlefield is almost completely cleared, yet this thing still looks as lively as ever.’
’If not for the [Desperate Melee] skill lasting until the end of the battle, I’m afraid even Hellish Roar wouldn’t be able to hold on.’
SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!!
Dahou swung his Dual Axes, wildly hacking away at the last remaining Dragon Tomb Priest he was chasing.
This particular Watcher Priest was special. Its eyes were Blue, and its face was covered in a few Blue Dragon Scales. It was also stronger than the other Priests.
However, Dahou stunned it with a [Primordial Roar], then landed a critical strike with his axe.
The Dragon Tomb Watcher fell down stiffly, and a faint Blue light flashed across its body.
"Lord! All enemies have been cleared!" Dahou reported as he turned around.
Shen Xing glanced over and nodded. "All melee units, rest and reorganize on the spot."
"All ranged units, go join Reina and the others and add to the damage output."
"Yes, Lord!"
Everyone responded in unison.
With the battle on the main front concluded, a large amount of ranged firepower was freed up. The Skeleton Archers and Light Elf Archers quickly joined the fray.
It’s as the saying goes: death by a thousand cuts. Except in this case, a few lions were also part of the hunting pack.
Under the concentrated barrage, stone debris rained from the Golden Stone Giant’s body, and large chunks were blasted out of its frame.
Time trickled by. On the ground, the corpses of the Dragon Tomb Watchers rapidly weathered into dust.
What no one noticed, however, was that the corpse of one particularly special Dragon Tomb Priest remained perfectly intact before being buried by the swirling sand and dust.
The great battle raged on for another two or three minutes.
"What a stubborn bastard. He’s keeping me from going back to sleep with the Lor... I mean, from going back to rest."
Reina’s low voice rumbled as a look of impatience flashed in her crystalline eyes. She raised her Magic Staff high.
Vast amounts of Fire Element coalesced behind her, gradually forming the phantom of a great bird with a wingspan of over ten meters. It had a hooked beak and was wreathed in crimson flames.
It was the spitting image of the Celestial Cloud Fire Phoenix they had killed earlier!
