Building an Eternal Dynasty: The Eternal Legacy System
Chapter 170: The Supreme Path
The Supreme Path
One pill could suppress the heavens.
A single leaf could end worlds.
An ancient melody could herald the dawn.
At the very end of that endless vision, the towering figures stood beyond the star river.
This land of ruin stretched endlessly around them. Broken stars drifted through the darkness. Ancient corpses floated in the distance, their remains slowly dissolving into the silence of eternity.
And at the center of it all stood Victor.
He remained motionless.
His long, shoulder-length black hair drifted gently around him. His golden eyes were fixed upon the countless paths before him, his handsome face carrying an unusual stillness.
He was thinking.
Thinking about everything he had seen.
Thinking about the countless corpses.
Thinking about the crimson eyes hidden above the Great Laws of World.
Thinking about the terrifying truth buried behind the cultivation path.
The ancient figures watched him.
Their bodies were already beginning to fade.
Yet their voices remained clear.
"May you, fellow Daoist, be the one and only across all ages!!"
"HAHAHAHA! You who come after—shatter everything!!"
"We are useless... May you reshape all things!!"
Their laughter and voices echoed through the ruined star river.
Then their forms scattered.
They transformed into countless strands of mysterious rules and ancient Great Laws of World.
One by one, those fragments entered Victor’s body.
The moment they touched him, the darkness trembled.
Victor stood alone in the ancient desolation.
Around him, countless Great Laws of World swirled.
Each one represented a path.
Each one represented the culmination of someone’s life.
Paths that led toward the absolute peak were laid before him.
Any one of them could allow Victor to escape the "falsehood" that had trapped the countless cultivators of the heavens.
Any scrap of information contained within these paths, if it were exposed to the outside world, would be enough to drive unimaginably powerful beings into madness.
They would slaughter.
They would destroy entire realms.
They would fight until the heavens themselves were stained red.
Yet Victor simply watched.
His golden eyes remained calm.
There was no greed in them.
No hesitation.
No fear.
He looked at those almost perfect paths as though they were merely possibilities.
Then he slowly shook his head.
"I will forge my OWN path!!"
His voice wasn’t loud.
But the moment it echoed through the ruins, every Great Law of World seemed to tremble.
Victor’s expression became firmer.
"Only the self...
Is true and real!!"
The final word fell.
Then—
Every path shattered.
BOOM!!
The endless paths collapsed simultaneously.
The star river exploded.
Ancient laws disintegrated.
Countless fragments of Great Laws of World turned into the purest form of energy and rushed toward Victor.
Instead of choosing one path, he chose none.
Instead, he took everything.
He absorbed everything.
He would become the foundation of his own path.
"All is me!"
Victor raised his hand.
His golden eyes blazed.
"Three thousand Great Laws of World—follow my will!!"
RUMBLE!!
The void shook.
Inside Victor’s body, stars began appearing one after another.
One.
Ten.
One hundred.
One thousand.
Three thousand!
Every star carried the aura of a Great Law of World.
The radiance of the stars illuminated the darkness.
The Three Thousand Great Laws of World thundered together.
The sound was overwhelming.
Even the heavens seemed unable to endure it.
Every single star contained terrifying power.
Every star could annihilate an expert of the same realm.
Yet Victor was not satisfied.
His eyes narrowed.
Then—
The stars shattered.
BOOM!
Three thousand stars exploded within his body.
But instead of destroying him, their fragments transformed into pure Great Law of World energy.
The fragments merged into his flesh.
Into his bones.
Into his blood.
Into his soul.
Into every inch of his existence.
Victor’s body became increasingly brilliant.
The Great Laws of World no longer existed outside him.
They became him.
Every technique.
Every principle.
Every law.
Every strand of power.
All could move according to his will.
The countless Great Laws of World poured into his body, illuminating him like a divine being standing above all heavens.
The darkness around him trembled.
Victor remained at the Stellar Sovereign Realm.
But everything had changed.
He no longer condensed stars within his body.
He had refined the stars themselves into his existence.
He had taken the countless Great Laws of World and made them part of himself.
There was no longer a need to rely upon an external path.
His body was the path.
His will was the law.
His existence was the foundation.
This was the path Victor had forged.
The path that belonged to him alone.
The Supreme Path!!
Everything around him shattered.
The ancient ruins disappeared.
The endless star river faded.
The terrifying corpses vanished.
And Victor—
was sitting quietly upon Sovereign Peak.
As though nothing had ever happened.
The night wind brushed against his black robe.
Golden dragon embroidery shimmered faintly beneath the moonlight.
His long black hair rested against his shoulders.
His golden eyes opened slowly.
His very existence seemed different now.
He appeared to contain countless Great Laws of World and countless techniques within himself.
One glance from him could seemingly overturn heaven and earth.
Victor lifted his head.
"The Golden Age... is the true Age of Dharma Decline..." he murmured.
His voice was quiet.
Almost thoughtful.
He looked toward the sky.
His gaze seemed to pierce through infinite void.
Through countless layers of Great Laws of World.
Through worlds and starfields.
And there—
he saw them.
Those twisted crimson eyes.
They remained above the Great Laws of World.
Watching.
Observing.
Smiling.
They looked almost pleased.
Like they had just discovered an unprecedented delicacy.
Victor stared at them for a long moment.
Then—
"Heh."
A cold laugh echoed across Sovereign Peak.
Victor chuckled softly.
There was no anger in his expression.
No excitement.
No fear.
His golden eyes remained strangely indifferent.
"I truly wonder... what exactly are you?"
He had forged a new path.
A path completely different from the one followed by every other cultivator.
The countless cultivators of the heavens were still struggling through that bitter sea.
