A Manor Somewhere in Nyanjara Town

Inside one of the manors in the wealthy district, an old tiger stood as his butler and staff carefully fitted his armor into place. The metal plates locked in with practiced precision. Straps tightened. Clasps secured.

Despite the scars running across his body, he carried himself with unwavering dignity. Each movement was steady and deliberate. Refined by years of discipline, not diminished by age. When the final piece was set, he dismissed the staff with a small gesture and walked toward the window.

Beyond the glass, the night sky was no longer black. It burned orange. Fires spread across the horizon, rising from the slums where the revolt had taken hold. Smoke coiled upward, thick and restless, painting the sky with unrest.

The tiger narrowed his eyes, his hand tightened around the hilt of his blade.

“We’re ready.”

The voice came from behind him. Low and heavy.

He turned.

In the dimly lit room, two silhouettes stood within the shadows. One large. Broad. Unmoving. The other smaller. Lighter. Quiet.

“Then let’s not waste more time,” the tiger said firmly. “We head to Bastolle Prison.”

“Aye,” the smaller silhouette replied.

The tiger turned and strode toward the exit without hesitation while the two figures followed closely behind him.

Nyanjara Town, Bastolle Prison

After pushing through the entire stretch from the slums to the opposite side of town, the mob finally arrived. Hundreds of them. Angry, loud, and unstoppable.

The town’s wolf guards alone were nowhere near enough to halt the march, but Bastolle Prison was ready. The drawbridge had already been pulled up, sealing off the entrance. The prison itself stood like a fortress. Tall stone walls rising high above, a moat encircling it, defenses layered and deliberate.

The mob stopped at the edge. Blocked.

“STOP YOUR ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES AND DISPERSE!!” a town guard officer shouted from the battlements above.

“FUCK YOU!!!” the mob roared back in unison.

Tension surged across the front lines.

A little further away from the drawbridge, the Misfits were already in position. Naturally, they were squatting on the ground in a perfect circle. Strategizing.

This time however, behind them forms a second outer circle. It's the Hyena leader along with several senior members. Watching. Listening. Probably questioning why are they squatting in the middle of uprising.

“Nuh-uh! No!” Bella said firmly. “I’m not going up there as a bat! I’m not going to fight naked with hundreds of eyes watching me!”

She crossed her arms into a very definitive X.

“But it’s the Prime Minister we’re talking about,” Kovalski said. “Besides, it’s not like there’s something to see.”

“WHAT DID YOU SAY?!” Bella roared.

Kovalski regretted nothing.

“Hmm… okay…” Ivy muttered, rubbing her chin thoughtfully. “Do we have any beastmen who can fly with us?”

He turned his head toward the Hyena leader.

“Hmm, nope,” the Hyena leader replied, shaking her head. “Everyone here is either land-type or water-type.”

“Explosives?” Bella suggested, suddenly cheerful again.

“We don’t have any,” Irving replied. “They’re in the subspace bag Mr. Solo is holding.”

Irving then start scanning the surroundings. Carefully and quietly.

And then—

“There.”

Irving raised his hand and pointed upward to his right. Across from the prison stood a four-story building.

“We have our grappling gun with us. With that elevation, we can zipline to that guard tower.”

Irving moved his pointing finger through the air, tracing an imaginary line from their position to the prison’s guard tower across the gap.

“Ugh, it’s crowded with guards over there,” Ivy scowled as he squinted at the tower.

“That means we need to make a distraction,” Irving muttered. “How many gates does this prison have?”

“Two,” the Hyena leader replied. “The west gate here and the one on the south.”

“Alright,” Irving said, already thinking ahead. “We need to move the masses to the south gate to distract them. You think you can help lead the masses over there?”

He glanced at the Hyena leader.

“No problem. Me and my pack will do that,” she said. “As long as Miss Bella comes with us.”

“Eeeh? Why me?” Bella said.

But before the Hyena leader could answer—

The noise from the mob suddenly spiked. It becaming louder, sharper, and more panicked.

“THEY'RE BRINGING OUT CANNONS!!” someone screamed.

Up on the battlements, the guards—now reinforced by mercenaries—were rolling out a cannon. A large one.

It was aimed directly at the crowd below. A guard stood beside it, holding a lit torch.

The crowd began to break. People started running in all directions, panic spreading faster than thought.

“FIRE!” the guard officer shouted.

Then—

KABOOOOOMM!

The cannon roared. The cannonball tore through the crowd and slammed into a bakery behind them, reducing it into splinters and smoke in an instant.

Debris flew everywhere, screams followed.

“Shit! They got artillery,” Irving snapped. “Bella, no time! Lead the crowds together with the hyenas, before everyone runs away and we’ve got no more mobs!”

“Roger!” Bella replied immediately.

“The rest, follow me,” Irving continued. “We’re going to that building.”

“Roger!” Ivy and Kovalski answered.

Without hesitation, they split.

Bella, followed by the Hyenas, rushed toward the panicking crowd.

“EVERYONE! STOP RUNNING!” Bella shouted. “WE NEED TO GO TOGETHER TO THE OTHER GATE!!”

But her voice drowned in the chaos. People were still screaming, still running, still not listening.

Bella clicked her tongue. “Rrrhhh.”

Then—

She pulled out her M240L machine gun and pointed it straight at the sky.

RATATATATATATATATATATATATAT

The sudden burst of gunfire cracked through the air. Loud, violent and impossible to ignore. The crowd froze. Their feet stopped mid-run, voices died down and heads turned.

“Oh finally,” Bella muttered.

Now they were quiet. Attention secured.

“LISTEN UP EVERYONE!” Bella shouted. “WE’LL LOSE IF YOU’RE RUNNING AWAY NOW! THOSE PEOPLE UP THERE WILL KEEP LOOKING DOWN ON YOU AND TRAMPLING YOU EVERY DAY!”

The people at the front finally locked onto her.

“WE NEED TO TAKE DOWN THIS PRISON! THE SYMBOL OF FEAR AND OPPRESSION!” Bella continued. “AND TO DO THAT! YOU NEED TO FOLLOW ME AND WE’LL STORM THE SOUTH GATE!!”

The front rows sees and heard her loud and clear. But the back rows… not so much.

“Hey, where’s the girl doing that speech?!” someone from the back shouted.

“Yeah, I cannot see her!” another voice complained.

The Hyena leader leaned down slightly and whispered.

“Miss Bella, I think not everyone can see you.”

Bella froze for a second.

“…Ugh, I hate being short,” she muttered.

Her eyes darted around, then she spotted it. A tri-colored flag lying on the ground—probably decorative—previously attached to the now-destroyed bakery.

Bella immediately grabbed it and raised it high above her head.

Now that—

That was visible.

“EVERYONE! JUST FOLLOW THIS FLAG AND WE WILL TAKE DOWN THAT DAMNED PRISON!” Bella shouted again.

The crowd shifted. Their eyes locked onto the flag.

“THEY MAY TAKE OUR LIVES! BUT THEY’LL NEVER TAKE OUR FREEDOM!!”

Bella screamed with everything she had.

“TONIGHT, WE DINE IN HELL! VIVA LA REVOLUTIOOON!!!”

“VIVA LA REVOLUTIOON!” the Hyena leader and her pack echoed immediately.

“VIVA LA REVOLUTIOOON!” the chant spread.

Louder.

Stronger.

Unified.

The mob, now no longer scattered, began to move as one mass, following the tri-colored flag held high above the chaos.

From the battlements, the guards and mercenaries watched the shift happen in real time.

“Shit! They’re all moving to the south gate!” the guard officer snapped. “MOVE THE CANNON TO THE SOUTH GATE!”

“YES SIR!”

The guards scrambled, pushing the cannon away, repositioning it along the battlements toward the south gate as fast as they could.

Four-Storey Building

A few minutes later, Irving, Kovalski, and Ivy reached the top floor of the building.

No one needed to say anything as they moved. Irving and Ivy immediately pulled out their grappling guns from the subspace bag and began assembling them with practiced efficiency.

Kovalski, meanwhile, took out his MK11 Mod 0 and moved toward the window, setting up position. He peered through the scope.

“I see four enemies,” Kovalski said calmly, tracking them. “Two guards, two mercenaries.”

“Take them out,” Irving ordered, not even looking up as he continued assembling the grappling gun.

PSSHHT

PSSHHT

PSSHHT

PSSHHT

Four suppressed shots. Clean and precise. Irving and Ivy didn’t even flinch. This was routine.

“Done,” Kovalski said, still scanning the battlements for any additional movement.

“Say,” Irving spoke, still focused on his work, “where did Bella learn to do those speeches?”

“I think she just mixed several famous war movie lines,” Ivy replied, also assembling without pause. “She loves war movies. That’s why she joined the army.”

Several seconds later, the grappling gun was ready. Irving aimed it toward the cleared battlement tower then fired.

PSSHH–THUNK

–WHRRRRRRRRRRR

CLANG!

The line shot across the gap and locked in place. It's perfect. A taut zipline now stretched from their window straight to the prison tower.

Irving and Ivy glanced at each other.

“Rock-paper-scissor!” they both said at the same time, already throwing their hands.

“I go first!” Ivy declared, her hand showing rock.

No argument.

Ivy grabbed the line and jumped.

WHUUUUZZZZ—Thud

She slid cleanly across. No guards and no interference. The battlements were empty, and the streets below had already been pulled toward the chaos at the south gate.

Ivy landed smoothly and immediately signaled back. Clear.

Irving followed without hesitation. Then Kovalski.

Insertion completed. Quiet, clean, and Flawless. From the tower they now occupied, the inner yard of the prison was fully visible below them.

“Kovalski, set up your nest here,” Irving ordered. “Me and Ivy will slip inside and find the Prime Minister.”

“Got it,” Ivy and Kovalski replied.

Kovalski immediately got to work, setting up his sniper position. Irving and Ivy moved out just as quickly, slipping into the prison’s inner structure with practiced precision.

Highly trained and highly professional. Rangers moving to rescue their Prime Minister.

Prostitutes Lodging

Unfortunately—

The Prime Minister was nowhere near the prison.

Inside a small yet comfortable lodging, surrounded by beautiful furries, Solo lay back as he was being thoroughly pampered.

“Aaahhh… it’s so good,” Solo muttered in bliss, enjoying a massage from two of the younger girls.

“Here’s another cookie,” another girl said, placing a fresh plate beside his tea.

“Thank you, miss,” Solo said politely. “You don’t need to trouble yourself like this.”

“This is the least we can do,” Candy said from beside him.

Solo exhaled slowly.

“This is the best night ever,” he muttered happily.
